This thing is AWESOME
Our 1st time using it, we were camping with our teardrop trailer and we put it over our kitchen area. Kept the rain off us, was easy to put up. The tension ropes to tie down were pretty easy to set up if you have someone who has basic tent skills. Didnt have a lot of wind but because there are no sides, I would anticipate no issue. The suction cups performed excellent. They didnt come off or slip, stayed up for us. Sun protection would really depend on positioning. Tarp is thin but if packed appropriately, it is nice to have the lighter pack. I feel this was worth the money. We looked at other tarps, tents for cover, bridging systems to bridge the teardrop to a tent. Really we needed just this. Something that sets up quick where we can be outside and not stuck in a smaller camper. For a minimalist camper, this has been the best thing we have found when comparing other shelter options (and comparing costs)

Ripped quickly but seller responded fast
It ripped on the first deployment but the seller was quick to offer a replacement. We’ll see if the new one fares better

Consumer, I purchased this piece of garbage
I like the concept and was hoping to keep it, but however, after setting it up and trying to use it the material and the awning it’s not UV Compliant it was 100° when I tried to sit under the awning It magnified the heat where I could not even use the product it’s advertised as being a shade awning. I’m sure it’s water resistant but what joke This has no sun protection at all

Impressive awning
This awning is compact, Lightweight and the size of shading is exceptional. Quality is sturdy on the loop rings for tie downs. Easy to set up! 6 month update.. this awning was well worth it until it wasn't, the awning can not support high winds started to tear at the seam of the loops, for the price I would have liked for it to be a little more sturdy maybe more stiching at the loops .

Buy it, it’s worth it
Honestly the other reviews I saw for this sucked but I had hope and I’m glad I did cause this thing rocks. First off it’s much lighter and smaller when packed up than it looks, but beware it’s very hard to fit back in the bag once used just because it’s an odd sharp and hard to fold right. Also this thing is built so well, its seam taped and the material is quality, (when I crumpled it back up I couldn’t even push air out it’s so well sealed). Has enough rigging points (double stitched and riveted holes plus loops on every point) to make it secure, and the poles are very heavy duty I have no worries for any of that. The day I took it out to test it was about 90° in the Santa Monica Mountains and the shade was about 5-10° cooler with the tarp is totally blocks the sun. It’s pretty intuitive to put up but a second person would make it easier. (Also if you’re worried about the suction cups don’t because they worked on my very dusty and dirty truck, plus I tested them at home and could suction them to drywall so yk). I did get it on sale for like $70 and that made it all the more worth the money.

Writing this review while under it now
Used today for the forst time, tent stakes are cheap, lucky I had heavier ones in the car. Comes with two thicker telescoping tent poles but really should come with 4, as there are 4 tent hole positions in the awning. Again, lucky I had two more thinner telescoping poles in the car. So the photos in the review will show a very large size awning and I do like it, but they also show all 4 poles, the 2 it came with and the 2 I added, and also have the thicker tent stakes in the sand. Took 2 of us about 10 minutes at first but then I spent another ten minutes adjusting to my likeness. I will continue yonyse for now unless the system tears or rips.
