I purchased this machine 6 months ago. So far, it has been completely trouble-free. The Dreame L50 has made my life a lot easier. We are two adults and a long-haired cat in a 1900 sq. ft. house, all tile floors. I could never keep up with the dust and hair. It drove me insane. I have not had to manually dust or mop since I got the Dreame. I run it once a week on the standard cleaning mode. It runs for 4 hours, picks up all the dust and then mops. The floors actually shine when it’s done! It was super easy to set up the machine and the app has worked great. Maintenance of the unit has so far been simple. Filling clean water tank and emptying dirty water tank manually is easy. I am 100% pleased with this robot. I hesitated in purchasing one for a long time, but now I can’t live without it. Definitely worth the money. Incidentally, as this is a complex piece of equipment, would definitely recommend spending the extra money to get the extended warranty.

I’ve had this for over a month now I have it vacuum my house twice per week, and on the weekend I have it do a full mop and VAC. Does a great job of hopping over the larger trim pieces on my floor, as well as sucking up the copious amounts of cat hair, my two indoor cats produce. I’ve been nothing but pleased with its performance. The app is a bit confusing and does take a good amount of experimenting and rifling around to fully understand and utilize to its full potential. That being said, most of the confusing parts of the app are not required, and you can use the automatic smart settings instead, which do produce good results. It is self emptying and I’m going on two months and have not needed to change the bag. The side brush and the filter are still in good shape as well. The suction power seems sufficient, I use it on standard suction almost all of the time, although there are three higher settings from there that I could use if needed. I have the option set for the vacuum to automatically increase suction on carpet as well as utilize the side brush on carpet and that has been a big improvement on its carpet performance. The vacuum seems pretty tough as it has been going around my house for almost 2 months now and really doesn’t have any signs of wear and tear. I have a smaller home and only use it on the upper floor, it usually finishes a regular vacuuming with about 70% battery life remaining, and on the big cleanup days with the VAC and mop usually finishes about 55% battery life remaining. May not be enough for larger homes, but it is smart enough to stop in the middle, go back to its station, charge back up, and finish a cleaning if your house is big enough to necessitate that, mind fortunately is plenty small enough to finish in less than one charge. Another great feature is you can set up automatic cleaning times and have them repeat so if you wanted it to vacuum every night or every other night you can do that. I have done that and it is kept my house nice and tidy. I just have to remember to open up doors to rooms and pick up cat toys off the floor before I go to bed. I let it run while I’m in bed and I have all the lights off in the house. It has a little flashlight that it can use to see where it’s going. It is smart enough that it does not need to bump into the walls like the old Roomba did. It does not bump into the walls very often.

We bought this vacuum about six months ago, and it has been one issue after another. Most recently, the robot stopped emptying debris into the base station. After Dreame’s recommended troubleshooting failed, they made us send a video showing us trying multiple fixes before they would even approve a warranty repair. We sent the vacuum in over a month ago and despite multiple emails and calls from us, we have not received a single update on its status or when it will be returned. Every follow-up gets the same generic response that the issue has been “escalated to the senior team,” but no actual timeline, explanation, or resolution has been provided. Paying almost $1,000 for a vacuum, just for it to break and be waiting over a month with no word on when we’ll get it back is unacceptable. EDIT: After almost 1.5 months with no update on when we would be getting our machine back, I sent an email insisting that a resolution or firm timeline be provided within 3 business days or I would report the issue to our state’s Bureau of Consumer Protection. Within a day, they responded that a refurbished upgraded product (X50 instead of L50) would be sent out. Please keep in mind I had been in touch via email at least once a week for the several weeks prior and despite increasingly firm requests, no resolution was offered until I threatened to escalate. I received the refurbished product within a week and it seems to be working *so far* (it’s currently doing its first run through the house). I’m glad this was able to be resolved, but disappointed it took an escalation for a resolution to be offered. Overall, I do really like and appreciate the actual tech of this product, but the quality assurance, logistics, and customer service side of DreameHome is unfortunately lacking.

I absolutely love this machine! I bought the L50 Ultra right before Thanksgiving 2025, and wow — it has completely changed my home. During the first week, I ran this robot vacuum every day, sometimes multiple times a day, testing different settings and figuring out the best cleaning schedules for our household. We’re a family of five (three kids, two adults), plus a dog and a cat, so seven total — and this has easily been the best investment I’ve ever made for my home. The vacuuming is excellent and the mopping works extremely well. What surprised me at first was that while the cleaning was good, it wasn’t perfect right away. The robot clearly learns your home over time. The more it ran, the better it became — both in cleaning performance and navigation. Even two months later, I still see it improving. Our home has three carpeted bedrooms, a large living room rug, kitchen mats, and tile flooring that looks like wood, and it handles every surface perfectly. Initially, the battery life seemed a little low, but that also improved with use. I’m not sure why Dreame products behave this way, but I noticed the same thing with my Dreame Z30 stick vacuum — battery life was short at first and then got better over time. Either way, I can’t complain. The L50 Ultra will vacuum the dining room, living room, kitchen, both hallways, and laundry room in about 60 minutes, then mop those same areas in another 70 minutes, and still finish with around 25% battery remaining. The suction power is honestly unbelievable. When I first bought this, I was also considering purchasing an air purifier because of pet hair and dust — my dog sheds moderately and my cat sheds a lot. Since running this vacuum daily, I no longer feel the need for an air purifier. It does such a great job removing dust and debris that there’s practically nothing left in the air. I run scheduled cleanings every day, and each schedule vacuums first and then mops: • 8:30 AM – Living room (vacuum → mop) This area includes the litter box and the back door where the dogs go in and out in the morning. • 2:30 PM – Main house cleaning (vacuum → mop) Kitchen, dining room, hallways, and surrounding areas. • Nighttime – Full house cleaning (vacuum → mop) Runs after the kids are in bed so everything is clean for the next day. This robot has been a complete game changer for our home. If I could rate it 10 out of 5, I absolutely would.

From the first day it has made a big difference in my house. It vacuums very well, collects dust, hair and dirt without problem, and saves me a lot of time. It is easy to use, moves around the house and reaches places where a normal vacuum cleaner costs more to clean. The battery lasts a long time and returns alone to its base to charge when you need it. If you have pets or children, it is definitely worth it. I totally recommend it for its good performance and the comfort it provides.

TLDR: Great for households with just adults and maybe a small child. I think this would struggle with a house with pets that shed. I would recommend this for anyone though; if you have kids/shedding creatures, you will just have to do more maintenance on it. I have had the Dreame L50 Ultra for over 2 months and I love him...I call him Herbie...yes he has a name, as he's like a little robot pet that cleans for you. I put him together myself and had hm up and running in about 20 minutes. I hooked him up to the app and off he went. Mapping: 10/10 First thing he does is map the house, which is very entertaining to watch. I followed him around for a bit like he was a toddler. He got very close to the stairs going to the lower level and he self adjusted, and didn't fall to his death. I use him on the main level of the house, which is about 2200sq ft and it took him a bit to do the whole thing. You can edit things over time if you want, and backup the map as well. Navigating the terrain: 6/10 After the mapping, I sent him forth to vacuum the downstairs. He navigated everything extremely well. Then we got a different table and chairs, and he didn't self adjust and got stuck underneath one of the chairs and we had to rescue him. He also has some sort of weird issue at the moment that if I tell him to go just solely mop my bathroom, he thinks he can't get there...I get the obstacle in the way' message, and he doesn't leave his little space in the pantry. If I set him to vac/mop combo or solely vacuum, he has no issue. I think this is something I am going to have to troubleshoot. Vacuuming: 9/10 I have zero pets or children at my lake house and usually there are only 2-3 adults here usually. He does a great job at small things, but you have to have him run the course at least twice to get it properly clean. My dark wood floor shows every spec of dirt/salt granule etc. If we have a lot of visible things on the floor, we run him across that area 3 times. My husband spilled a bit of rice on the carpet from a take out and he did a good job of picking that up, which I was impressed with. Note that he makes VACUUM TRACKS. They aren't always even if he's going around furniture, but you can tell when he's gone across the carpet. I think Herbie would struggle with my other house and the four dogs that live there. Mopping: 9/10 You can set him to do deeper cleans with extra water. The only way Herb mops properly is if you crank it up to almost the highest water output setting. It does a good job when the water level is set correctly. Is he as good as a real human cleaner...not quite, but he cleaned up a dried spill of tea on wood floor perfectly. He does a great job on flat surfaces. My bathroom floor is a marble herringbone (small rectangular pieces) and he doesn't do the greatest job around the shower floor drain, as it slopes, but it does a good job on the rest and the marble shines. Because we crank up the water usage, he needs his water chambers refilled and emptied every two to three washes. Battery life: 9/10 This guy can do the whole downstairs on one pass vacuum on one charge, or to do the combo vac/mop at the same time. Deep cleaning / 2x + cycles he needs to charge in between, which he will do on his own, and then he will resume cleaning. App: 8/10 The app that goes with it is mostly intuitive. There are some teething issues with the map editing, but that may be a me problem for not googling a solution yet. Note I am tech savvy, my job is in tech and I have built a computer and design apps, etc., so it should be intuitive without me having to Google it, hence the 8/10. Verdict: This is a great robot vacuum. I bought him because it was the number 1 on the Vacuum Wars website (they do extremely thorough reviews). My cleaner was weekly and had to stop due to an injury, Herbie was paid off in a month...I just wish he did windows.

It empties the dustbin, washes and dries the mop pads, refills water and solution, and even cleans itself. I haven’t had to touch the vacuum in days—it truly offers a hands-free cleaning experience. I also appreciate the customizable carpet cleaning options in the Dreamehome app. Whether I want to avoid carpets, boost suction, or double-clean, I can tailor the settings to suit different areas of my home.

The Dreame L50 Ultra has completely changed my cleaning routine. The second I got it, I couldn’t wait to set it up—and after using it, I can confidently say I do not regret this purchase at all. It’s absolutely worth the $1500. What really sold me is that this is a true all-in-one system that actually works better than having separate machines. You could easily spend $2000 on a robot vacuum and another $500–$2000 on a robot mop, and still not get this level of performance and convenience. This unit combines both and does it seamlessly, which makes it a much smarter investment in my opinion. We’re a busy household with two dogs (one heavy shedder), a cat, and I have long curly hair—so there’s always hair everywhere. The fact that this vacuum can handle all of that without constantly clogging or jamming is seriously impressive. The dual brush system really makes a difference, and it just keeps going without giving up like others I’ve used in the past. One of my favorite features is how hands-off it is. I’ve had the DREAME L50 Ultra for about a month now and I’m really impressed. This robot vacuum exceeded my expectations in terms of both cleaning performance and automation. Suction is strong enough to pick up dust, pet hair, and debris without any issues. What really stands out is how hands-off it is. The auto-empty and self-maintenance features make a big difference. The dirty water tank can probably go 4–5 runs before needing attention, though I personally prefer to empty it sooner. Other than that, there’s very little maintenance required, which makes a big difference. Another huge improvement is the brush design—it doesn’t get tangled with hair. With my previous robot vacuum from a few years ago, I constantly had to clean hair off the roller, which was easily the most annoying part. This one completely solves that problem. A huge upgrade in both performance and convenience, and worth it if you want a low-maintenance cleaning solution.
