This is the most wonderful Basmati rice in the world !!! The flavor is highly aromatic to the point that my whole house smells like the rice. The grains are super long and very defined despite being fluffy. This is a premium rice that deserves a place in your pantry if you love Indian cuisine at home. I love it so much I eat it plain. I used to cook Basmati rice the way that my dear Indian friend Uma taught me. Rinsing the rise, soaking it for 20 minutes, frying it a bit in ghee, and then putting it in the boiling water and covering it. Then let thing the rise rest for 10 minutes after the cooking time was over. Now I have an inexpensive rice cooker that is one of my best ever purchases. With the rice cooker I rinse the rice very, very well, then I soak it it for 25 minutes, rinse the soaked rice in cold water and place in rice cooker with 1 tsp salt. The ration of rice to water is 1 to 1.5, that means 1 cup rice soaked and rinsed, to 1.5 cups of water, 2 cups rice to 3 cups water., and so on. Don’t add any oil or butter. Cover rice cooker and let it run its cycle. Once it’s done, let sit covered for about 5-10 minutes. Uncover and fluff with a fork and serve. Store in fridge and warm in microwave, adding about 2 tablespoons of water and covering tightly- this will steam the rice. Yum! Hope it helps.

This rice is exactly what I wanted for my Mediterranean inspired dishes. I wanted a long grain rice that would accept a lot of Mediterranean spice and have a less boring flavor. This rice does exactly that. It also cooks very well ina rice cooker. In order for the length in the grain to show up you will have to pre-soak the rice for around 30 minutes before starting the rice cooker though. This is really important in order for the rice to elongate totally. The bag the rice came in was a nice, rugged, bag that will not fall apart easily. The bag weighed 10 lbs and was around 12 inches wide by 18 inches tall. Pros: *Tastes great *With proper soaking the grains really do get long Cons: *None Additional Considerations: This rice is great for Mediterranean dishes. If you would like a sticky rice you will need to look elsewhere. This is also a white rice so keep that in mind too. I love this rice since 2013 untel now. long grain rice And very soft its work with Biryani, butter chicken, kabsa or soup, this rice is the best rice ever.

For me, this is the closest rice to Persian rice . The price has gone up, though.
