This spice is as good as having fresh Galangal. I used it in a recipe and was very happy with it. Great spice. Would buy again.

The best I have found😋
I don’t always have access to fresh galangal and after several wrist and shoulder surgeries simply cutting the fresh rhizomes is very difficult and even dangerous! I use this very finely ground powder in thai dishes and teas. It is not gritty due to the very fine super soft character so it blends nicely in teas. Yes dried galangal like any dried product does not have the fresh aromatic brightness and all of the subtle flavors of fresh but it does have the galangal flavor and warmth I love. I purchased an 8oz container 3 yrs ago and due to its very large size have only used half of it. The “bottle” is 2.5”x 2.5” x 5.75” tall so it is alot of powder! I just used some today and after smelling the wonderful aroma and the flavor it gave to my tea I thought I should give a review! Oh like any spice/herb you want to keep fresh and flavorful keep it in the refrigerator or freezer. As always be sure to remove all pieces of the safety/freshness seal from the sealing rim of the container so there is zero air leak which could allow moisture to get in.
