Sizing is off

I bought these jeans for my brother as a Christmas gift. These are a nice looking pair of jeans. I purchased his regular size, however they are a bit tight in the waist. They fit fine in the hips and everywhere else.

Nice but inaccurate length sizing.

I’ve worn 36 length pants for the last 45 years. Suddenly all the 36 inseams are 3 inches too long, yet 34 inseam is short. Nice pants, just way too long.
