This works great and is fairly durable. You may run into a fun or two that pop off but they are easy to put back on and I have only had them come of when being handled. My son who is almost 4 enjoys playing with it and it is easy to control. I will say I recommend a large body of water to use this in like a pool, pond, or lake as using it in the bath tub for example works but this shark is a little big for a tub and has issues operating smoothly (gets turned on its side and can’t go straight without adjusting position manually) when it runs into obstructions.

It quit taking a charge after a few times of use. When it was working the Grandkids loved it. The fact that it has a dual operation modes via a slider switch is a great feature to have so you just let it go instead of having to use the R/C Transmitter controller. Why they decided to use a propietery interface jack to charge is just plain dum. An USB-C would have been a smarter choice. Why it quit working is beyond me. I'm guessing it has something to do with the charging circuit. The charging LED doesn't even come on anymore. They could've had an awesome toy for kids, but unfortunately it wound up being a waste of money piece of junk.

Do not buy!! Bought this shark for my daughter's Christmas present. Come Christmas morning, she is so excited to try it out- it won't even turn on, much less swim around in the tub. We charged it for an entire afternoon, checked the batteries in the remote, troubleshooted what we could but it was a complete dud. Extremely disappointing- save your money.

Bought it for my 6 year old grandchild’s birthday. He loves it. Love it has a rechargeable battery.
