Duke Cannon Supply Co. Solid Cologne for Men Bourbon (Woodsy, Charred Oak Barrel Scent) - Concentrated Balm, Travel-Friendly Convenient Tin, 1.5 oz

First time buying. Bought the Bourbon Oak Barrel scent. Love the scent and first time trying solid cologne. I will buy again. I only put a little bit on my neck area on each side and right now I’m not “used” to the smell so I could smell it all day long. Like any cologne over time I’m sure I will be use to it and won’t smell it but others can. It’s not strong and over powering like cologne sprays. I find it suttle and simple. If you’re looking for something to chase people out of the room stick to over spraying spray cologne. This is just enough! Thank you and hope it’s true like what the tin says that a portion of proceeds benefits veterans as that is one of the reasons why I purchased the Duke Cannon brand to try.

I've seen others on here state that the scent is not strong enough, or they don't get the quantity they should get for the price. It is very light compared to all of the colognes and sprays I've used in the past. However, when you use it you don't smell like a teenager coming out of a sweaty P.E. locker room covered with a veneer of Axe body spray. Nobody is going to say, "yep, he's here, I can't see him but I can smell him coming." What I do get is "you smell nice" when my wife gives me a hug. I'm positive that she is the only one I need to smell good for these days, and it takes a hug to smell my cologne then I'm sure I'm not stinking up the whole room with my Peppy Lepeau scented drugstore spray or knock-off. Bottom line, if you want to smell good with the person your closest to this is an awesome cologne; but if you want to make sure everyone can smell your existence try something else. Keep in mind, when someone says that you smell good when you are reeking of the bath you took in your smelly sauce, many times they are trying to identify the person who smells like they fell in the toilet after spraying it down with a layer of Poo Pourri. As far as the amount for the money, this lasts a whole lot longer than any bottle or spray I have purchased in the past. I've been using mine regularly and really can't tell I've used much at all, plus it travels well in your pocket or bag so that you can dab a little on when your workday has gotten a little longer than expected. I usually use the Oak Barrel Bourbon scent. It does not smell like bourbon nor an oak barrel so that could be a hit on the negative side if you are trying to convince others you drink the fine stuff when you don't know the difference between Clyde May and Evan Williams.

As a very subtle scent to it which i lke. Doesn’t come on strong and seems to last all day. First day trying so will up if fades in the evening. Wasn’t too sure or positive about a cologne that you don’t spray on but so far i find it very enjoyable and effective.

Oooh, this is a nice little change of applying cologne. It’s smells really nice and having solid cologne is a great way of managing you consumption of it…

I love all of the Duke Canmon products, but this Bourbon line is my favorite. I've been using the soap & shower for a while, but was surprised they offer a solid cologne. It comes in a metal tin similar to a Sucrets lozenge tin snd very easy to apply. Just stick ypur fingers in the container, get an appropriate application of the cologne and apply. It smells like a classic cologne and lasts for a while. It is plesant and not overpowering.

Excelente aroma

First time using a solid cologne but seemed like it would be superior to spray/splash on type. In that respect I feel it is depending on the product and scent of said solid cologne. Given I use other Duke Cannon Supply products I didn't hesitate to buy this to try when I ran out of my old spray cologne. Based on the scent name 'Bourbon - Charred Oak Barrel' and reading some of the reviews, this seemed like the one for me. Unfortunately, it's just not as masculine of a scent as I was hoping for. That and it seems to wear off after an hour or two at most. Perhaps it's to do with my personal chemistry and/or skin but this product just fell short for me. I may try another scent, but the others offered by Duke Cannon don't appeal to me so perhaps another solid cologne offering will fit the bill. Sadly, this and the others I find here on Amazon are fairly pricey so not sure I will spend the money to find out if I like it or if it works or not since once you buy there's no going back.

Smells great. Doesn't last as long as a cologne but is so simple to carry and no concerns about TSA size.
