Great product!
These are well-made, comfortable wool boxers. They keep your bits warm in winter and cool in summer and they look good.

I’ve tried a lot of pairs.
Merino wool is amazing! These were a good price so I thought I’d give them a try. All merino wool boxers seem to run small, and there’s always a small risk of shrinkage. So I always size up. I’m normally a medium. I got a large. The fit is slightly loose in the waste, which is kind of annoying, as they tend to ride down. Unfortunately the elastic waste won’t shrink. I suppose if I bought a medium they would have fit my waste better. But the “large” legs fit perfect with a tiny bit of room to spare. So, even if the legs shrink a little they will be fine. The butt area is cut high and small, and feels a little tight. According to my wife, I have no butt, so I’m not sure what truly large person these would fit? They fit me slightly awkward in this area but I’m keeping them for the price. I like that they wrapped the elastic with wool, so that it won’t be a sweat trap, hopefully. Although I’m curious to see how well it will wear. I have a feeling this will be a weakness in their design. These are made of a slightly heavier fabric than some of the other known name brands in merino yet these are cheaper$. I hope that means they’ll be more durable—while delivering greater value—remains to be seen but I have high hopes. Most of my other merino stuff has lasted for years. So maybe I’ll come back in a few years and update my review. Lol. But they seem like a safe bet. TWO YEAR UPDATE: These have high fabric quality and been fine but I wouldn’t buy them again due to awkward fit. These have worm fine. And held up fine. Everything I said above about good fabric quality and the fit being slightly awkward still applies. After many brands, of which this was one I tired, I’ve settled on “Meriwool” being my favorite for merino boxers.

Very comfortable & no odors
I run in all temperatures. Things sometimes get cold, so I wanted something that might provide a bit of insulation on colder days. I have only worn these a few times, but I am very satisfied so far. On a shorter run in about 35 degree weather I felt like I stayed warmer than with typical performance underwear. The real test was during a 50k ultramarathon this past weekend. It was 30-40 degrees with a light rain during the event. I was generating plenty of heat, so that was no problem. What really impressed me was how dry I stayed. I felt like the underwear wicked moisture well and prevented chaffing. My only possible criticism is that they could be a bit more form-fitting. They allow a little more movement than I would like, but that comes down to individual fit and preference. Besides keeping me dry, the odor management was amazing. Normally I need a shower after a 5-10k run. After running a 50k these underwear still smelled fresh. The hype on Merino wool holds up! I would highly recommend these underwear if you want comfort, moisture management and odor control (don't we all want those things?). I am 5' 10", weigh 180 pounds, have a 34" waist and fairly athletic build. Size medium fit me very well.

New items are different size. LG is bigger than old XL
Update#3: loose, baggy, and ill fitting within a few hours of wearing them. They maintain no shape and become very comfortable very quickly. Much different than the old size. I will not buy again. Sadly. Update#2: I got a hold of the new L size this time. They are slightly looser than the older XL sizing. I’ll hope for some shrinkage, happy with the new and much lower price. And find they fit better in the seat now. Update: You changed, Man! Changed the title of this review. They finally got more XL in stock, so I ordered more, and they are much larger and looser fitting. Very uncomfortable, I will return and wonder if there is a new batch of LG size that will fit like they should. Original: As others have mentioned, these don’t give a lot of berth in the gluteal area. I should be a LG by their sizing, but too much man bun. I find the XL a little looser, but very comfy. Fly hole is nearly useless, ahem, at least for me. But I liked the XL enough to move out of my synthetics and stock up on these. I worry about longevity, mostly because I am finding black lint at the end of the day so assume they are slowly shedding. Time will tell how much. Good value, very comfy, fit the bill, butt too small

For the money liking these very muchly!
I'm seventyish this is my first wool under wear tried all the sport named brands all made my ass itch waist band rolled up into rope. I have always sweated a lot thought these would be to warm, wrong. These are the mot comfortable shorts I've ever worn and they don't stink after a very busy day or get sticky from sweat. No wedges to date unless I really earned it. I hand wash in the sink, wrap them in a dry towel boom, good to go only takes minutes. I bought 2 pair to try out had them about 5 weeks so they've been washed a fair amount still likening enough to get 2 more pairs. Willing to bet those dudes bitching about them coming apart throw them in with all there other cotton clothes and expect wool to be the same, not happening, that's why we buy merino wool socks, shirts, sweaters, coats etc. it takes a bit of special care and they last so long and keep you so comfortable when your hunting, fishing skiing or whatever.

Full of holes only 5 months after purchase
Initially quite happy with them, softness and wicking / quick drying BUT... less than 6 months later they are full of holes despite always following correct laundering and drying instructions. Initially thought they were a great price for the product but now not convinced of that since they're o ly 5 months old and now useless. :( our family has other brands the same age and they do not have holes, worth paying more elsewhere for a better product in my opinion. Not very happy with this purchase at all considering they're only a few dollars less per pair than the ones that have a year warranty.
