The magnet is very strong. With the strong pulling power it is hard to remove if you get it stuck on an object. It worked perfectly for me finding a small screw that I lost in the grass and picking up a bolt that I dropped and couldn’t reach.

Need to be aware that the surface an thickness of metal your sticking these onto has a big effect on their hold. Put it on a screwdriver or rounded side of propane tank and it holds alright but not near advertised strength. Tie rope to it and stick it on smooth side of a thick steel barge on the river and it’s a BIG BIG difference !It will hold boat my 17 foot boat in current just fine.

Sturdy and does the job. A bit small diameter and recommend for larger items get a wider one.

I have a magnetic docking shower head, but I wanted an extra docking location. I used a combination screw and reversed the magnet so the unit screws on securely when mounted in my shower. It allows for multiple heights, which is especially useful for women who sometimes want to shower without getting their hair wet.

We got this for our son to use to go magnet fishing to see how he would like it. Still great holding power but lightweight enough for a 4 year old to be able to cast out. Great little starter magnet to work with and build up to the next size up

This baby holds on! I use it to pull nails from wood stove ash before it goes in the garden.

I didn't use this for magnet fishing, but I had a metal play structure that was starting to rust because of the sprinklers hitting it and it was shedding small pieces of metal on my grass. We had the playset removed and hauled to the dump, but there was a lot of these metal flakes left behind. This was an inexpensive way for me to make sure I found all of the pieces and it didn't cause any issues with my dogs eating them or anyone stepping on them. What I did was took a baggie, flipped it inside out and put the magnet inside and then just tapped it on the ground almost like a stamp. Once I was done, I flipped the baggie back out and it made it easy to pull the small flakes off the magnet. It took a while to cover the area where the playset was shedding, but it was much quicker and got much smaller pieces than I would've been able to get otherwise.
