Pleasantly Surprised
I was looking for a sugar free/low calorie caramel to use for my iced caramel macchiatos. Iโm very picky when it comes to sugar free stuff because usually it tastes like chemicals or just tastes โoffโ. This caramel surprised me a lot because of how much it tastes like actual caramel. The texture is runnier than real caramel, and it has a stronger taste of caramel. In my opinion itโs perfect for coffees and other drinks, but by itself it might taste a little weird. Iโd definitely give this stuff a try if youโre looking for sugar free caramel, Iโd give this an 8/10

Nasty Pungent taste/aftertaste. Avoid this product.
Was eager to try this sugar Carmel syrup when it arrived. I was sorely disappointed with this product. Syrup tastes terrible and leaves a nasty pungent aftertaste. Definitely not worth the cost. Avoid this product, even ice cream canโt mask the awful flavor.

DELICIOUS sugar-free/low-carb caramel syrup!
I was on the hunt for a low-carb/sugar-free caramel syrup to dress up my drinks. This syrup delivers!! I've added it to my sugar-free hot cocoa, sugar-free milk steamers, and my sugar-free apple cider packets... it makes for delicious beverages. Now I have: - caramel apple cider instead of just apple cider - salted caramel cocoa instead of just cocoa - caramel pumpkin milk steamers instead of just milk steamers (I add a little bit of pumpkin pie spice to my milk steamers along with this caramel syrup) Try it, you won't be disappointed... you can't even tell it's sugar-free!! No bitter aftertaste, and the flavor is delicious. I hope they keep making this for forever, and I wish I could find it in my regular grocery store! (Also I agree with a comment made earlier that it has a bit of a butterscotch taste to it - but it's more of a hint, and isn't overwhelming. I think it gives the caramel flavor more "body" or "depth", rather than a flat or boring caramel taste.)

Surprisingly yummy!
I've tried a few of the Walden Farms products over the years, most I have found to be pretty awful. I read good things about the caramel so I gave it a go and was pleasantly surprised! As others have mentioned, it definitely tastes more like butterscotch than caramel, but if you enjoy butterscotch you'll be happy with this. I found it to be a bit more watery that I would care for but that's the only reason I've gone with 4 stars instead of 5. I was happy to find that it doesn't leave a chemical after taste in my mouth like some of the other products. I've been putting it on apples, oatmeal, in my coffee, and plain yogurt. For a calorie free product it's pretty darn good! I do feel like they should call it butterscotch rather than caramel.

Extremely light flavor
This is not a very sweet tasting syrup. Very light in caramel flavor .

Caramet apple tea
I have trouble finding Walden Farms caramel syrup in ANY store around where I live, I like to use it in apple spice hearbal tea, to make a caramel apple tea. YUM. Thank you for being a source for this,

changed recipe
i used to love this product, but the recipe must have changed because it is now horrible; it's bitter and runny; i won't buy it again

Pretty Decent Non-Carb Caramel Syrup
I am always looking for the perfect no sugar sweets and sweeteners, and I have to say I found something very good in this one, that will definitely become a staple for me. When using this as a topping for a yoghurt-, acai- or fruit bowl (I love having it on top of a blueberry bowl with yoghurt and granola), this is extremely delicious, tastes very indulgent, sweet and junk foody. Its consistency and thickness is perfect and in this context there is no artificial flavour felt for me. I would not recommend having it on its own, then the artificial flavour does come through, but I think this is okay, caramel in its normal state is a pure sugar product, so a no sugar alternative will always taste a bit different.

Serves it's purpose
Let's get this out of the way: this is NOT your typical caramel sauce. But you aren't getting this for normal caramel sauce, you're probably getting this because watching your calories is probably important to you. You can tell this is calorie-free when you taste it, but that's the point. I'm the kind of person for whom watching my caloric intake is important to me. As such, I've had problems finding the things I missed when I decided that I should stay away from the old food that I was gaining weight on, but for a while things were boring. Now that there's a fun caramel sauce that I can have without breaking the caloric bank, I love that I have the option to have fun with my food again. This is where this caramel syrup is great! I used to think that "if it's not real, I can't have it" and that train of thought led me to realize that food should be fun, and this stuff really helps!

Straight on it & love it! Maple syrup flavour to try next!
This arrived not 20 minutes ago & I was straight on it! ...& It's GOOD! So first up, I just want to balance 1 or 2 reviews I saw before my purchase. 1. This thing was packaged up pretty dang securely. There were 3 layers of recyclables as layers of protection in delivery and the only way this bottle would be getting broken is if the postman jumped on the bloody thing. 2. The label reflects the true nutritional value & I've uploaded a photo to show you. There's even big text now that says 'near zero' for anyone that is a donkey. Anyway, I went balls deep with this one & poured a healthy dab on a teaspoon & shoveled it in. Puckered my lips a bit and had a taste. Nice! The overwhelming flavour is definitely of sweetened caramel however au natural there's a bit of an alcoholy type tinge to it. I wouldn't recommend downing a bottle on its own. Coincidentally (or was it?) I was preparing pancakes so had to throw some on there to give it the true seal of approval. Drizzled generously on top it, it deserves it. It adds that nice caramel type flavour that just tickles your sweet tooth. It's not an overwhelming flavour but compliments it nicely. My 2nd test was to throw some in the mix as well & I actually think that took it to the next level. The flavour was much better balanced & it took away that sweetener tang that you get from low calorie products like this. My final test was salting those bad boys up & this for me was king. Salted caramel flavoured low calorie pancakes. Hell yeah! My dreams are made of less... In all honesty, nothing beats the real thing but as a low calorie alternative it really is the bee's knees. This will certainly change my cutting phase as now I have this to look forward to. Add a little salt & this baby will go far! As a final comment, it does taste like a sweetener based alternative to the actual thing but if you've ever had anything low calorie caramel flavoured before, you will know what I mean. It's not bad but it's not for everyone. Also, I'm not sure what titanium dioxide is but that's on the ingredients list. Sounds like a strange thing to have on there... .... If you're interested in the killer low cal pancakes too, here's the recipe. Make sure you cook them in a pretty low heat though otherwise they'll burn. Serves 3: 75g oats 3 scoops of protein powder 3 eggs 1 tsp baking powder 1 cup of buttermilk Blend those babies up and fry them in a teensy bit of butter. There's like 300 calories a serving & 30grams of protein. Update: had it on ice cream last night & it was ridiculously good!
