**Does not fit CK17 flex head torch without modification** I read this in other reviews before I purchased so I won't take off stars for it. This is a great starter set, glass cups too large for aluminum welding unless you want to use a lot of gas. Again, this is not an issue with the product, but if you want glass cups for aluminum, buy the assorted size pack Instead so you get some smaller glass cups. That said, this is a decent guality set with a lot of parts for the price. CK 17 torch you have to enlarge the white rings to fit. I used a small barrel sander and a drill, worked great. Wet the o-rings before installing glass cups and they go on without pushing the o-rings off the diffuser.

So I'm a beginner to tig welding. Been tig welding for about 2 weeks now. I kept hearing about using gas lenses and stubby kits. And have wanted to pick one up but kept putting it off. Don't make my mistake GET THIS KIT NOW. This kit will greatly improve the learning process. Benefits are as follows. 1, better gas coverage over collet body. 2, reduced gas usage, ( more efficiently lays gas coverage ) 3, smaller components allows for more precision to get closer to material and allows for steady hands. 4, feels lighter. 5, Pyrex cups allow you to see a tad clearer. This kit comes with alot of different sized cups. This kit is very good quality. Comes with a plastic case. Remember, practice makes perfect no piece of kit out there will substitute for skill. This kit does at least for me helps tremendously. Also a little tip, if you have the big fat handled tig torch I highly recommend switching to a traditional torch ( wp26, wp9, some wp17f ) better grip and smaller profile

This was definitely a one up compared to the standard Tig set up the gas lense and especially the glass cups help a lot when you're first starting to Tig weld at this price it's well worth it had mine for about a month I use it for about 1-2 hours a day just trying to build the skills to weld thinner metals with Tig , if you're starting out try the gas lense and stubby or glass cup it's a game changer

I see some reviews about these not fitting various torches. This works on the weldcraft WP-17 that came with my multimatic 220. Here is more information that may help: There may be issues if the diameter of that locking part of the collet is not checked. This set comes with 3 different size holes. If you happen to have the 1/8" in the torch with 3/32 tungsten you will not be able to tighten down the back cap to get the tungsten to stay in place. I also replaced the front "white teflon ring" with what came in the kit. The kit ring has a better seating surface than if I tried to use the one in the original torch. Use TWO o-rings to hold the cup in place. See the picture. I put a red and green one on so the position stands out. The cup does not wiggle and seems firmly in place when assembled like this. Gas flow seems fine. Next test will be how well it holds up over time.

Nice set for a beginner

The cost of this kit makes this a good value for me. I dont use them everyday and I have not used the glass on AC yet but nothing has failed me yet. The glass discolored after a few two hour runs but it has held up well and hasn't cracked even though I've bumped it on the table pretty hard. The ceramic cups are pretty good too. *edit* I've used this kit for a three(ish) years now and I have run the glass on AC quite a bit. One lasted for an entire 8hr aluminum job and a few small jobs, roughly 20 hrs or so total. The glass became brittle and broke after I set it down a little hard. I purchased another set and will continue to abuse the glass cups for this price. I've given the glass cups away to a few welder friends with the same feedback from them.

Was disappointed and about to return through item but then I found the clear cups can be used with the orings. Overall all the other components work on the CK17 except for the two white pieces that attach to the torch head. This is the only difference between the wp17 and the ck17 torch. Would need to buyba separate piece for my ck17 to fit the clear cups if need better support than the orings themselves the cup can wiggle slightly, so it depends what your doing if it'll work for you or not.

Cheap kit to get me started. Not an expert Tig welder so I'm still figuring out what works for me and what doesn't. Enough variety to try out a few things and see what's going to work best for what I'm doing. Can't really comment on the quality because I can't tell good from bad yet. In this day and age prices definitely don't always reflect quality I know for sure. For the bird poop, stuck tungsten, wasting gas welds I'll be putting down for a bit I'm sure this will work just fine for me.
