This stuff is great. It’s a thicker consistency and seems more concentrated, but that said, the taste is quite bearable. At the first sign my kids are getting sick, I add a spoonful as part of their nightly vitamin regimen and keep that going for a few days. So far, that seems to work fairly well PTL!

Since I wasn't able this year to make our own elderberry syrup, I looked into purchasing this already made. As a certified holistic nutritionist, I am exceptionally picky about my supplements. In full disclosure, I have long been a Gaia fan, so trying the Gaia elderberry syrup was a no-brainer for me. Gaia has long since checked all the boxes for me in terms of quality, construction, price point, & flavor. The construction is USDA certified organic, which is a huge plus. It is even sweetened with organic sugar, which is important to me. It is a very thick syrup & is higher on the sweet side than you might expect so if you are sensitive to sweetness it may be a little too sweet for your palate. I suppose you could cut it with a bit of water to reduce the sweetness if you desired. Dosing is super easy with the included measuring cup & specific instructions for both adult AND child on the bottle. I have used the syrup for both healing as well as daily maintenance & notice a HUGE difference in both applications. Taking it daily is great for overall immunity health maintenance. If ever I get to feeling a bit "off"/under the weather I take more than the daily maintenance recommends & by the next day I am right as rain. Keep in mind that all supplements work differently for each of us as individuals, there are amazing healing properties in elderberry regardless & I would highly recommend this product. Worth every penny.

This is a daily supplement for me for boosting my immune system. I’ve been using it for 8 years and have not been sick that entire time! Gaia is the best brand because the elderberries are responsibly sourced at organic farms. Great product!

This elderberry syrup tastes great and is easy to take daily. I like keeping it on hand during cold and flu season for extra immune support. The flavor is not overly sweet, and the ingredients seem high quality. My whole family uses it, and we’ve been very happy with it.

Keeps us healthy

I'm normally a skeptic about products like this, but this has really helped me this past cold/flu season. It is higher quality than other elderberry products I have tried and also seems to work better than others. I love the simple ingredient list, which is pretty hard to find in an elderberry product. It is only concentrated elderberry, concentrated acerola fruit, sugar cane juice, water, and lemon juice. Many other elderberry products have echinacea, more sugar, or other added ingredients. I keep it in the fridge, have a teaspoon a day as soon as I feel that throat tickle or the kids get a cold, and I either don't get sick at all or have fewer and less severe symptoms. The drawbacks are the taste and how it can cause stomach upset. You can mix it into a juice, but it's thick and quite a bit sticks to the bottom of the glass. I find that I can only handle the "maintenance" dosage. Taking the "acute" dosage of a teaspoon twice a day hurts my stomach terribly. Also because of the taste, I can't get my kids to take it. But for me, the one teaspoon a day helps enough and I don't mind the taste overly much. I definitely recommend it but would use caution to avoid stomach upset. It also seems to work better when I only take it for short periods of time instead of every day. It stays good for a long time in the fridge. The concentration makes it a good value overall as well. A smaller bottle at the local health food store is nearly as much money, so ordering from Amazon makes sense too.

I give this to everyone in my family during cold season and extra when someone we know/interacted with recently is sick. Saves us every time. Only time we get hit with the sick bug is when I slack on taking this. But it tastes good and my kids ask for extra servings they love it so much
