I wish I only got the Impact Driver, not this bundle.
I have all three Dewalt 12 volt Max: Impact, Screw Driver, and Drill Driver. These Max drivers are exceptionally well made tools. The build quality is much finer than most other tools I've tried around. The power on these Max drills are surprisingly strong. I also have a bigger 18v lithium Hitachi, but I really can't tell the difference in power between the Max (12v) and the 18v for most of the stuff I do around the house. However, I am a bit puzzled as to why these two products are bundled together. Having used all three Max drivers, I find that the Impact driver does pretty much everything the Screwdriver would do, but better. Impact Driver also appears to be more compact. Only thing the Screw driver would be better at is if you are screwing in to more delicate (electronics) or fragile material, but if you were doing that then you really don't even need this much power since much cheaper & more compact alternatives exist. The "IMPACT" feature on the Dewalt Impact Driver, only comes on automatically when there is a need for it; so even if you were doing delicate screwing, it still works fine if you can just adjust finger pressure a bit; so I'm really puzzled as to the existence of this Dewalt Screwdriver product.I also find that I'm far less likely to strip phillips screws using the Impact Driver than the Screwdriver. One reviewer commented that the Screwdriver has impact-like feature. I don't think that is true. I think he might be referring to the torque control knob similar to a drill driver. This is nothing like the Impact Driver. You can really feel the difference when you use both. When challenged, the Max ScrewDriver will either strip the screw or just start free spinning because of the torque control setting, but the Impact Driver will really drive the screw in when you hold the trigger all the way down. If you didn't want the screw to over tighten, then you apply less trigger pressure, and it will tap lightly, still without stripping or free-spinning.I seem to favor the Dewalt Max 12v Impact Driver for most jobs. For me, the Max Screwdriver is an over-powered driver that I might use only on delicate parts connected to electronics or something. Another user also wrote that he uses the Screwdriver for building computers. Again, however, I would rather have less power and smaller size for that though because this driver is still too big to easily reach all the parts inside a small computer. It doesn't make sense for me to own the Screwdriver, but I'm no expert, so if anyone can explain to me why I should keep the Screwdriver, please make a comment soon. I would return the Screwdriver right away if I hadn't purchased it as a bundle.

Would not change a thing.
While everyone one thinks they need the much heavier 18~20 volt systems for all-day use, I love not being worn out holding these over my head all day. Anything heavier would be a royal pain.I chose this system over others mainly because of the wide, flat base & being able to stand these upright so I can pick it up easily the next time I need it. So much better than having to lay the whole tool flat and then having to contort your hand/wrist into position to pick it up again (I'm very ambidextrous and alternate between left & right hands a lot). Sounds petty, but if the more you use it, the more important ergonomics are to you.Another feature that led to me buy this set is the 3-light system, that eliminates/minimizes shadows. Not a big deal, I thought at first, but seems like I'm always working in dark places - closets, under the sink, etc. - and even with a head lamp on, this lighting system is still handy and always puts more than enough light exactly where you need it. In fact, I'll leave the head lamp in my tool box a lot of times and just pull the trigger 1/2-way to use the built-in lights as a flash light to quickly be able to get to where I'm working.I can't believe how long these hold a charge and how quickly the charger is. I'll top them off, just for good measure, thinking, surely they're about to run out of juice for as much as I use them, and the charger shows that they're fully charged in a matter of what seems merely a few minutes. Incredible technology. No regrets. If my system gets stolen, I would go out the next day and replace it with the exactly same system. One interesting thing worth mentioning... the impact driver seems to strip-out screws much less than the screwdriver - even when the clutch is set fairly low. Not sure how that works, but I've seen consistent results, so when I'm driving pocket hole fasteners into soft woods, etc. - I'll always reach for the impact driver, first - just to be safe. I know - counter-intuitive & you'd think it'd rip right through the threads - but that's hardly ever the case.Sometimes I think I need the one with a chuck (so I can use my really small drill bits, that they don't make w/hex bases), but have been intending to get a chuck adapter, so I can use it with either of these... still haven't gotten around to it - guess I don't need it that badly.
