Durable, Easy to Set Up, and Perfect for Protecting Your Vehicle
I’ve been using the Ikuby Weatherproof Car Shelter, and it’s exceeded all my expectations! If you’re looking for a reliable, durable solution to protect your vehicle, this is the one. Key Highlights: Exceptional Durability: This shelter holds up impressively well in windy conditions. The sturdy steel frame and durable fabric feel built to last and provide excellent protection against the elements. Ease of Setup: While setup can technically be done solo, having a second set of hands makes the process much smoother and quicker. Everything is well-labeled, and the instructions are straightforward. Mounting on Concrete: If you're installing this on a concrete surface, be sure to use a decent drill to secure the provided anchors properly. Once anchored, it feels incredibly secure. Customer Support: The customer service team is outstanding—responsive, helpful, and quick to address any questions or concerns. Additional Thoughts: I don’t have a garage, so this shelter is a fantastic alternative. It provides a safe, enclosed space to protect my vehicle from harsh weather while giving me peace of mind. I even mounted a security camera inside the Ikuby for added security. I highly recommend this product for anyone needing an extra protected space for their car or other belongings. It’s an excellent investment for the price and quality!

I love the product so much I bought another one!
This is my 2nd Ikuby Carport system. The first one I bought more than a year ago and as you can see in the photo, it held up well. I love that it doesn’t touch your car and it protects it from the sun, rain, pollen, tree saps and dust. It has two screened windows on each side which allows air to circulate on those hot days but can be closed on those rainy days (I always keep them open). You can easily open the carport from either front or back or both (so you can easily pass through it if needed). If you need to lock it you can use the provided lock mounts but you need to drill them to the ground. It is easy to install, one can do it but it helps a lot when there are two of you as the frame is pretty big. Don’t forget to anchor it to the ground (hardware is provided but you will need a masonry drill bit and a drill if you are anchoring it to a concrete driveway), my first one went through some really heavy winds and it survived them ok. I bought the medium size first and it can easily fit large cars and crossovers easily. But for my second one I purchased the Large one and it is so big that there are lots of extra space in front and back of my car. I think this is the best solution out there right now to protect your car from the elements when a permanent structure is not possible. It is portable, removable and light. I obviously would recommend it as I bought my 2nd one. Issues? The first one I bought did not have any issues during assembly, the 2nd one there are a couple of holes that did not line up but nothing that a drill did not fix. Also after a year outside, you start to see some molds develop on the inside part of the car port as expected on anything that is exposed to moisture outside so you just clean it with some mold spray and that takes care of it. Other than those it really just do what it’s supposed to. It is a great product, it is not cheap but I think it is worth it.

Great Solution for Tight Spaces
I ordered the medium size and delivery took about a week (there were 3 boxes total). The written instructions weren’t very detailed but there are plenty of videos on YouTube that helped with assembly. It took ~2 hours to put together by myself and was a bit awkward at times. Having two people would make things a lot easier. My initial impression is very positive. The build quality is solid and I really like the design. I’ve used a car cover for years but wanted something that could protect my car from the elements without touching the paint. I decided to go with Ikuby because the footprint was narrow enough to fit in my driveway and the shape will handle wind much better than some of the other vinyl carports on the market. I live in a moderate climate and am hoping this cover will last me several years. Time will tell but so far, so good.

Canopy only lasted one year in full sun.
Revision coming to my review Frame difficult to put together. You will need to people. The material To put over the canopy. Where Velcro strips. Attached to the tubes Stitching is Flimsy single stitching. The function Of the canopy itself. To open and close is fine. The material the canopy is made of Is OK At first. The canopy leaked Water in almost immediately or Within the A few months Of use in full sun. The canopy deteriorated and fell apart. in about a year. Water Still. Got onto the vehicle. But kept most of the sun off the vehicle. Until a big hole ripped where the tubes attach to the canopy at about 14 months. I bought this. In. 2023. For about $1000. Give or take. For the money. It is not worth The amount of time you get out of canopy material . That is about $83 a month. The canopy. Could use washers between the bottom rails. And the tubes. To allow for easier. Opening and closing. Without scratching. The metal tubes And Rails. The good thing about this is that you can open and close it. And keep your vehicle out of the sun Easily. My. Wife was able to do it on her own. It is wind resistant. I live in a tropical area and we get storms frequently. As long as you bolt it down it did not shift or buckle. It is also an advantage To not wash Your car every time you use it. The function and the idea of this canopy is good. If only the canopy would last for longer than a year or Would come with a better warranty to replace this cover . Or the price for a replacement canopy be more reasonable. as of 2025 a replacement canopy is $400. I did not even attempt to contact the company about warranty as it fell apart after the warranty was ended. If you are looking for this canopy to keep in full sun, I do not recommend it. If you plan on placing this canopy in a shaded area. That might work better. And the canopy might last longer.. But keep in mind that the canopy still leaks water onto your vehicle. My intended purpose for this was to keep my vehicle out of the Sun.

Don't waste your time and money.
Nothing about this product is what they claim to be. its not waterproof, it doesn't close properly, it's shipped from overseas and items are either missing or damaged. Their contact is through their own site and you cannot speak to an agent, so you have to go back and forth by email. Any problems are met with the same response, "We want you to be satisfied". Unfortunately the goal posts keep moving as to how they are going to satisfy you. After complaining about bent units, their response was "we are currently out of stock". After many follow ups Months later bent replacements showed up. Then came the complaint about product leaking. I was told that the product was defective and they would replace the unit. A follow up resulted with the comment that they were working on defective enhancements to the cover and that it would take time to replace it. What happened to replacing the unit? Now it's been months since the so called enhanced cover was to arrive. If you are looking to keep leaves and bird droppings off your vehicle this is it. The bought and paid for you tube videos are overstated. Worst money ever spent on a product that leaves a lot to be desired. By the way, still waiting to hear about the delivery of the new and improved cover, that was supposed to arrive in early December, now it's mid January. Save your money and time there are other products that actually do what they are supposed to do. Disappointed and frustrated is an understatement.

Sturdy and easy to set up
Waited a bit before reviewing this, as I wanted to see how it held up. Putting it together was pretty easy, just repetitive but no issues with the fit and finish and no missing parts. I got the top on by myself, did take a bit of wrangling but it is easily possible to do it with one person. We have had a few good rains and one pretty major storm since I put this in, and it looks just as solid as when it was done. Sheds water very well and holds up to moderate (25mph) winds so far. Would recommend putting some stakes in for the base. I used some corkscrew like dog leash stakes, four of them on the central base, to keep it from moving. So far that's working. Not sure if it needs cement to secure it as some have said, but we don't get super strong winds here (PNW). Overall very happy with it. Keeps the leaves and pine needles off of my car. Not for large cars necessarily, but does have a decent amount of room (I have an old VW Beetle), and very nice to be able to lift up either the front of back (or both). Feel like this does a nice job of keeping the elements out, fairly easy to set up, and seems pretty sturdy so far. Would definitely recommend.

Best option if you can't have a garage and OUTSTANDING customer service
Truly outstanding customer service which I will explain below. I bought this for a '72 Corvette and the car easily fit into it. I have used this for over eight months now, including over an unusually harsh winter in a mountain community that was subjected this winter to a once-in-two-decade event. The carport is extremely easy to use and I like that you can bring up just one side or both sides to the middle. I don't have to worry about swirl marks from using a car cover as this sits well away from the car and really keeps out the elements. Rain and snow did not drip through the cover. I think if we had had a normal season, this shelter would have been able to withstand it and I bought it with the regular snow load in mind, having seen from other reviews that it withstood winters back East. It is a good idea to not let the snow accumulate and I knew this when I got the cover. Unfortunately, overnight we had some serious wet snowfall which melted and then froze, creating a thick ice layer which was heavy. Even though the carport is fairly well constructed, under the weight, some of the metal pieces buckled. I contacted customer service to see I could buy replacement pieces, but instead they instantly shipped me the pieces at no charge even though they could have argued that I was at fault. I have to say that this company stands behind its product and I will be purchasing another carport sometime later in the year to protect my other Corvette.

Adequate, at best.
Man, what a great idea that could benefit from just a little refinement. If these problems were fixed I would gladly have paid another $100 for this shelter. I would say the ideal use case for this is a newer/nicer occasionally driven car you want to keep protected from 'most' hazards: sun, wind, hail, dust, sap, falling tree nuts/seeds; it is not reliably waterproof. We use it for a daily driver and it's not horrible, but it's definitely a tighter fit getting in/out than you're probably used to, especially if you park a little closer to the 'wall' occasionally. The 'powder coating' (I'm not convinced it's not just paint) will come off anywhere two pieces attach during assembly, even if you're extra careful aligning, tightening the hardware will take some paint. Speaking of tightening hardware, all the metal on this should be at least 1 gauge bigger for peace of mind regarding strength. Otherwise assembly isn't too difficult. If you have a nicer driveway you don't want to get rusted up, I would advise not using the supplied concrete anchors as the zinc coating doesn't look reliable, I bought some stainless drop in anchors, which also allow for the hole to be easily filled if we remove the cover. As for protection, our primary goal was protection from UV, and our neighbors 50 foot palm tree that periodically throughout the year will drop heavy seeds and sap, this cover is great for that. It has also held up to some pretty decent wind the last couple of months. Rain however finds it way through, sometimes, if that's a deal breaker for you don't buy this product. Not a problem for a daily driver, but definitely for high end exotic owners. We are in southern California so it's not really an issue that a car wash doesn't fix after the storm passes. We also hooked a bungee cord onto the center support which holds onto the open end of the cover, this keeps it from blowing shut while gone, or worst case while halfway pulling in/out. A couple of pool noodles around the vertical frame also helps to mitigate potential damage from opening your door a little too far, very helpful for our daily use.
