This was such a unique design and the fact you could control the width was interesting. Wood was very sturdy. Assembly was required and easy. I liked how it turned out. Nice addition to my desk in my cubicle to hold my trinkets that express me.

It's really nice and helped to clean up my desk as well as decorate it. Building it did take a bit of time to do but overall wasn't too bad, took me about 30-40 minutes to put together I think but it holds a lot of my stuff for me so worth it in my opinion.

Eh, this shelf fit the need for my daughter's dorm room desk to have a little storage/places to put things. The price of under $25 when purchased was lower than many other desk top hutch options, but I can understand why after receiving it. The screws were silver and even my husband commented while putting it together that they should have been black to make them less obvious, and he normally does not pay attention to details like that since I am the decorator and he is the one who just puts it all together. The quality of the "wood" seems sturdy as well. Daughter likes it. The dowel that connected the 2 pieces did not stick up enough to secure the 2 pieces together well enough, so they are just kind of propped together. I thought maybe my husband did something wrong putting it together, but to be honest, he is very handy and usually doesn't have any difficulty with correctly assembling/creating/building anything house related, so if he did do something incorrectly, it does not bode well for an average person with minimal skill level like me trying to put it together fully. Overall, a decently good option to consider if you do not want to spend upwards of $50-100 to help organize your desk or build your own.

Very well constructed. It does have a lot of parts and a lot of screws so it did take me a while to put it together. The enclosed instructions are easy to follow but you do want to take your time to read it so things don’t end up backwards or upside down. The holes are very well aligned. It’s not solid wood. I’m sure it’s particle board covered with laminate but it looks very nice and it feels pretty solid once it’s all put together. One thing though: the little screwdriver that came with it was useless. The handle kept turning while the metal part stopped. Fortunately I had a mini screwdriver from another project. The shelf is shallow enough that it fits on my desk and still gives me enough work space. I’ve ordered another one in black for my family room. And I might get another one for my craft table. Hah, I guess I feel it’s a good buy and useful.

I’ve ordered two of these now and they work excellent as wide nightstand toppers. They hold all of the things I want access to like a flashlight, hand cream, etc, but still leave space for my alarm clock and stack of books. They save a ton of space and keep things organized.

Like this addition to my desk, good quality, easy to assemble. Matched my desk perfectly. Fast shipping at a good price.

WORST PRODUCT I HAVE EVER USED! Do NOT buy this! The assembly was an absolute nightmare. My hands were covered in blisters by the time I finished putting it together, and they were sore for days. I actually enjoy assembling furniture and DIY projects, but this was somehow even more frustrating than assembling a full-sized sofa. The adhesive residue is another disaster. I spent over 10 minutes trying to remove it with Goo Gone, and there was still a lot of sticky residue left. It was incredibly frustrating and made the whole experience even worse. Save yourself the time, money, and frustration. There are much better products out there. If you don’t trust me, trust the fact that this is the first product review I’ve ever written— I’ve never written a product review before. This product was bad enough to make me write my very first one

1st kit opened was great, easy to assemble. 2nd kit was a nightmare. One piece was completely missing guide holes and others couldn't be lined up at all. I had to try to push one piece to line up the holes and the screws pushed out the top of the wood creating a bulge. It's not like I don't know how to do these things, I tried repositioning, I tried everything I could think of. I am very unsatisfied with this kit. I guess it's hit and miss wether or not it will be a good one.

Sadly, I had to return this product due to the white boards looking not finished. Some wood panels had paint missing or were fading as well. Also the picture advertised did not show the screws showing on the outside (and there are many of them) it didn’t look very nice.
