I normally never write reviews, but this machine genuinely surprised me. Before buying the Ninja, I listened to all the online complaints: “It’s just an overpriced blender.” “You need to freeze tubs.” “It doesn’t even have a compressor.” Because of this, I actually decided to buy a compressor ice cream machine first — the Cuisinart Frost Fusion. On paper it sounded more “professional” because it freezes while churning. Reality? Huge disappointment. No matter what recipes I tried, the texture kept coming out soft, soggy, and nowhere near proper ice cream. I adjusted ingredients, freezing times, temperatures — everything. It simply could not produce the thick, creamy texture I wanted. Then I bought the Ninja Creami Swirl… and honestly the difference was shocking. The Ninja produces REAL ice cream texture. Thick, creamy, smooth, scoopable, and even amazing low-calorie or protein recipes. Vanilla, chocolate, cookies & cream, peanut butter protein ice cream — everything has come out better than my expensive compressor machine. Yes, you need to freeze the tubs beforehand. But after the first few days, it becomes effortless. I keep a few tubs prepared in the freezer and just spin whichever flavour I want. One very important thing though: DO NOT order directly from the official Shark/Ninja website. I made that mistake and had a terrible experience. I paid for a brand-new machine and received appliances that looked used/refurbished with visible scratches and condition issues. Customer service was extremely frustrating to deal with. I eventually ordered through Amazon instead, and the difference was night and day: perfect condition, smooth delivery, no stress. So my honest advice: If you want this machine — absolutely get it. But order it through Amazon, not the official Ninja site. For me, the Ninja completely outperformed the compressor machine I originally thought would be superior.

I was really excited about my Ninja Creami, and when it worked, it was absolutely wonderful. It made fantastic ice cream and was easy to use. Unfortunately, after only one month, the bowl became jammed so tightly that we couldn't get it out at all. We tried everything, but it was completely stuck. For a product at this price point, I expected much better durability and reliability. It's very disappointing because I genuinely loved using it while it lasted. Sadly, this experience has left me feeling let down.
