CLARK'S Cutting Board Oil & Wax Kit, Lavender Rosemary Scent - Set of 2

Absolutely love this stuff! The only problem with stating how great this has worked on my cutting boards, is you will know how delinquent I was at maintaining them. The oil + wax combo has made my abused cutting boards look phenomenal! Thank you Clark's!

I bought the orange and lemon scented oil and wax products for cutting boards to use on a 42 inch diameter butcher block kitchen table top. I also bought Clark's cutting board soap via Amazon as a 2nd order. My table has been unused in my basement and not maintained with cleaning soap, oil, or wax for over 20 years although in very good shape. My daughter will be using the table in a new apartment and I decided to finally do the long overdue maintenance. The products were easy to use, all worked well, and the table top looks great. I just removed the metal table base to treat the underside of the top otherwise would have added a picture of the top. The liquid soap was fastest to use and I used about 20% of the 12 ounce bottle. The liquid oil came next and I needed 3 applications which I did over 24 hours and used about 40% of the 12 ounce bottle. The final item was the wax paste and I used what seems to be very little of the 6 ounce jar, less than an ounce I believe. For those who can't use scented products, the scents are very mild and should not be any problem for most people.

love this stuff for all my cutting boards and even the hard wax for my painted surfaces like the mantel! smells yummy! nit like paraffin or carnauba

The pictures may not reflect the true transformation, but the oil really did make a difference. A very light and pleasant smell. The wax went on easily, but warming it a little bit helps as well. Seems a little bit of wax goes a long way and will last much longer than the amount of oil received. The oil enriches the wood grains of all species. The walnut and purpleheart appear with a much deeper color, but the lighter species of cherry and maple will darken as well. Other shoppers have noted their lighter woods becoming darker and this is obvious in the stock photos of this product. I don't think of it as a negative aspect, rather it's to be expected. That said though, any cutting board oil should have similar results so I can't say that this is superior or inferior to any other product. I provided this review on the same day that I applied the product so can not speak on behalf of the durability of it.

I used both of these products on my 7 cutting boards as well as huge antique butcher block. They work GREAT!

Used both to condition a new cutting board. Four coats of mineral oil and a final coat of wax. The board looks great and is ready for use. I will purchase again to rehab my older cutting boards.

I washed my trivet (from the 1940's) with Clark's soap, then used the oil & wax. There had been some heat damage, so i sanded it down prior to working on it. This stuff is AWESOME! I'd originally wanted coconut oil/wax, but luckily I remembered that nut oils tend to go rancid. I'm surprised Clark's offers coconut as an option! However, the citrus is excellent! The scent is very subtle, not overpowering at all! D/t the age of the trivet, I applied oil on it 3x, allowing it to saturate into the wood for 3 hours each time. The following morning, I waxed it. I'm totally amazed! I've already set up a subscription! I have a butcher block counter top that I had made as an appliance shelf in my pantry. That will be next up on my list! I've attached before & after photos.

Meine Holz-/Frühstücksbrettchen sind im Laufe der Jahre wirklich nicht mehr sehr schön und damit zu hantieren hat immer ein etwas ungutes Gefühl hinterlassen. Jetzt sehen sie wieder toll aus, das Wasser beim Abspülen perlt ab und auch der Geruch nach dem Zwiebelschneiden ist ratzfatz wieder weg :) Dieses Set kann ich nur empfehlen.

Mutfakta kullandığım bambu ve zeytin ağacı kesme tahtalarının bakımında kullanıyorum. Tahtayı iyice yıkayıp kuruladıktan sonra, önce yağı, (tahta yağı çektikten) sonra da cilasını uyguluyorum. Bakım işlemleri bittikten sonra en az iki saat kurumasını beklemek lazım. Organik ürünler olduğu için gıdalara herhangi bir olumsuz katkısı yok.

Reçus aujourd'hui avec mes planches a découper en acacia. Aussitôt déballé, aussitôt utilisé. L'huile est plus liquide qu'une huile alimentaire classique, ce qui doit faciliter la pénétration dans le bois. L'application est facile; la cire est bien également. Les deux ont une odeur agréable. Le fabriquant de planches préconise avec insistance sur l'importance majeure de traiter ses planches lorsqu'elles sont 100% neuves (intégrité bactériologique et barrière a l'eau, ce qui empêche tous risques de fissuration ou de déformation). A voir dans le temps si ces deux produits répondent bien aux attentes de préservation des planches, mais c'est bien parti....

Great product. My wooden work tops were looking a bit dry and tired, so after reading the reviews I purchased the oil and wax and gave my work tops a fresh look. Smells lovey and so easy to use. I left it longer than needed and then waxed them... and I am very happy with the end result. A small amount goes a long way.

I got a wooden cutting board for the first time and wanted to ensure it doesn’t get dry or cracked so I bought this set of oil and wax. It does a nice job and so far, the board is holding up beautifully. The scent is very mild. I expected it to be a bit stronger but it’s very light and fades away right after use. I didn’t get the applicators so I just use a cloth rag for each, which works just fine. The applicators might be more ergonomic but the cloths are good enough and do the trick. I’m happy with the oil and wax and I’m very glad that I got it. The board is a nice deep colour now and I don’t worry that it’s going to crack or splinter. I use it about once a month and it’s very quick and easy.
