Can watercolor pencils be used as ordinary coloring pencils?

They are fine to use dry just as you would with coloring pencils. They are soft and blend and layer easily.

I’m doing pyrography, are these pencils suitable for applying color and can they be used directly onto canvas?

趣味で使うには十分すぎ？

油性色鉛筆だけでぬり絵をしていて、水彩が欲しくなり購入。画材屋さんで販売されてる高級色鉛筆とどう違うのか分かりません。発色も塗った後に水でぼかすのも、アマチュアには全く問題ないです。下地塗りに芯を削ってウォーターブラシで溶いて塗りまくりますが、絵の具での下塗りとさして変わらないかも。
