S30 Pro Wet Dry Vacuum Cleaner, 20000Pa, Self Cleaning

Update: After writing this review, I did return my Narwal for a refund. No problems at all. Then the Narwal team reached out to me regarding the review below. To make it short, I purchased another Narwal and to be honest, it had the same problems. The Narwal team worked with me tirelessly through emails for months now. I have come to realize that my Narwal is an awesome machine and I do really love it. But….there are some things you need to know about it so you will be happy too. After cleaning your floor, it is best to place the machine back on the stand and not let it sit on the floor. I learned that leaving it on the floor allows a little residual water to get on the floor from the roller which is understandable. Wait until after it cleans and dries itself before you clean the dirty water tank to avoid doing it twice. This machine didn’t have a problem neither cleaning nor drying the roller. In working with the Narwal team, they asked and I was able to give them some advice on clearer instructions. The current instructions are scattered and not concise. Had I known the information that I added to their instructions, I probably wouldn’t have returned the first one. The Narwal team is a dream to work with, best customer service ever! I love my machine and am so glad everything worked out. Five stars to the team and to my dream machine! ********** I really wanted to love this machine….and I kinda do. It is self propelled so it was very easy to use. It cleaned very good. It did a good job self cleaning the roller. However, my problem appeared after I finished cleaning and I noticed drops of dirty water on my floor. After the second time I cleaned with it, I had drops of dirty water and a heavy streak where the roller was sitting. This happened both times I used it. When it self cleaned, it cleaned the roller good, I was pleased…but it never dried the roller. I checked in the owner’s manual and found NO help. I watched videos and saw where the roller should have periodically turned as it was drying, mine didn’t. I contacted the company and they were very nice but weren’t much help. They wanted videos (which I provided) and then they said return it to Amazon for a replacement. I initiated a return but wasn’t given the option for a replacement so I’m just getting a refund. I really hate this because I did a lot of research and this is a slick machine. I loved the whole concept of vacuuming and mopping at the same time.

I am in love with this machine! I had backed the Moprobo on KS, and thought I was getting a machine that does what this does. I had purchased this during Prime Days. I almost opted for a brand that was cheaper, but the reviews convinced me to spend the extra... And I'm SO glad I did! This is half the price, and does a better job than my $700 Moprobo did! I have three Standard Poodles, so my floors need to be cleaned every week at the least. I love that I don't have to vacuum my hard floors first, this does both, vacuum and mops. I always use the smart setting which automatically adjusts to amount of dirt that's detected on the floor, as well as adjusts suction when cleaning under something. This wets the roller within seconds of starting the machine (vice up to 15 minutes with the Moprobo), takes up everything from dog hair, dirt and pea-sized pebbles with ease. I love that the clean water reservoir is on the mop head (vice the handle as in the Moprobo), and the dirty water tank is on the handle (vice the mop head as in the Moprobo). The machine self-cleans, sanitizes and dries pretty much everything from the dirty water tank filter to the mop roller... all I have to do is dump out the dirty water. The cleaning roller is easily removed and replaced when worn or overly dirty. The design of this is very intuitive and based on common sense. The machine is self-propelled and easy to maneuver. The cleaner that's included leaves no residue on the hard floor and has a clean scent. Additional/spare filters, rollers, and cleaner are easily purchased on Amazon. I really enjoy and look forward to cleaning my hard floors. An incredible value on an incredible machine that makes cleaning so much easier!

I loved this at first, but after about 3 months, it’s not much better than your average swiffer type mop, minus the fact it did vacuum at the same time. Now after three months, I am also getting the clean roller brush error I see from these other one star reviews. I have taken this thing apart and cleaned it thoroughly, and still get the error. It will vacuum for about 3 minutes the get the error. I also noticed that I have the same amount of cleaning solution that I put in 3 months ago! I don’t think that this has been even using the cleaning solution. This machine is NOT easy to clean. And for a mop that advertises to be self cleaning, hahaha, no. I would not repurchase this brand or recommend to anyone else. It seems like quality control isn’t there with the brand. As some people seem to get a unit that works perfect and some get a lemon. I’ll stick to buying something of this sort of product from Costco. Atleast there return policy is super easy. Just wanted to update now that it’s been 9 months of owning. I had finally gotten the machine to work from the roller issue. However now, the machine has quit self cleaning. Everytime I self clean, it errors out and tells me to call customer service. I call customer service, and they tell me it has a bad internal part. It’s under warranty so they will replace the faulty parts, however they currently are out. They told me when parts come in, they will mail them to me. However, they have no idea when that will be. And they refuse to just send me a replacement machine. So now I’m stuck without the unit for who knows how long. I can’t say this enough, don’t buy this piece of junk!!! The unit sucks and the customer service sucks too! If you want to spend $400 on a machine that may or may not even last less than a year, go ahead. As for me, I’d rather something a little more reliable.

I bought this due to the reviews I saw and read to clean my 2000+ sq ft of floor planking. Great job and easy on my body. Does a great job. even when you think the floor is clean, it tells you, "dirt detected" and it is usually in a high-traffic area, so I believe it. I can do most of the house (about 45 minutes) before it should be cleaned and charged again; great battery life. The suction is adequate even after running it on Turbo. Ive had this for about one month and use it two or three times per week just to touch up high traffic areas and I do the entire house once per week. The durability so far has been great. I just recommended it to friend yesterday. I only make recommendations after I truly believe in a product.

The TL;DR is the review title. How I came to this conclusion is a longer story, so I'll tell you what I love about this thing first. Then I'll give you the backstory in case you are trying to decide between the S20 Pro and a robot vac/mop. So, I have no idea how the sensor knows when the floor is dirty, but it does. The first time I used the S20 I used its smart mode and let it tell me what to do. When it showed me it had detected dirt, I went over the area until it switched itself back to regular/smart cleaning. The flooring is dark, so it's hard to tell just by looking how dirty it is. Our apartment is about 1100 square feet, but I'm guessing only about 600-700 of that is hard flooring. It took about 3-4 cycles of cleaning and depleting the battery before the Narwal quit telling me everything was filthy, and stayed in its blue "smart" mode. I would guess I'd spent around 25 minutes mopping before the bossy robot woman voice told me to charge it. I couldn't tell how much dirt it had cleaned off the floors until I went to empty the mop water. It. was. disgusting. (see photo) And this was after near-daily mopping by the robot. Before I bought the S20 Pro, I had read a few reviews with complaints about battery life. Given what it did to get me to the point where the floors were (finally) actually clean, I have zero complaints. Now, I hit the floors about once a week and never run out of battery. Although the S20 Pro isn't self-propelled, strictly speaking, it propels itself forward because of the roller motion. It's not at all fatiguing for me to use, nor is it heavy to lift and carry between rooms or put into its charging base. For reference, I'm a middle aged person in average shape. The S20 has a trigger under the handle that you can use to kick it into max mode temporarily. I use that in the kitchen when I notice greasy spots, or in the bathroom around the toilet (b/c you never know what's lurking there). I really appreciate the sanitizing action during the cleaning process — it makes me feel like I'm not spreading bathroom yuck elsewhere in the apartment. Another big bonus over other options is how clean water is constantly dispensed during the cleaning process. While I don't love the voice used for the S20 Pro, I have to admit it makes use idiotproof and effective. Listen to its loud, bossy voice, and she will tell you what it needs. Charging. Cleaning. Drying. Water. Detergent. Emptying the tank. Honestly, there's a good chance I'd forget something and muck up this expensive purchase if she didn't stay on top of me. I saw a video of the newer model (S30 Pro), and it sounds like Narwal made her a little less harsh. On the negative side, emptying the tank is kind of gross. Our nightly robot vac schedule helps reduce the amount of hair and debris that winds up in the bottom of the S20 Pro tank and filter, but it doesn't eliminate it. I can't just rinse it, because I don't want that junk going down the drain. Best way I've found to clean this is to put in a fine sink strainer, then rinse with the sink sprayer. Take the filter out and rinse it with the sprayer. Then empty the gunk from the strainer into the trash. I don't even want to know what the tank/filter would look like if my floors hadn't been vacuumed by the robot the previous night. The S30 wasn't out when I chose the S20 Pro, but it looks like Narwal made an improvement to the tank design with the newer models. There's a net filter that captures the solid stuff; it seems like that would make for easier cleanup. But not easy enough to make it worth getting rid of the S20 Pro and spending $$$ more. After six months with this mop, I am very, very happy with it. If I needed to replace it I would not bother with the S30, because it lacks some of the features and benefits of the S20 Pro that I really enjoy. I don't have to worry about mixing detergent into the water tank or constantly refilling the detergent dispenser, and the trigger control that adds max power is super easy. Additional info if you're trying to decide between this Narwal and a robot mop… My partner and I each have household responsibilities we care more or less about doing well (or at all, in some cases). Floors are one of those things I'm picky about and he's not. If he makes a mess, a mop and bucket are good enough. He's never going to mop the entire apartment. Until I got the Narwal, it was such an onerous chore that I wouldn't do it as regularly as needed for just basic cleanliness. We have a big dog, and although he's not furry enough to shed a lot or create muddy footprints, a *lot* of dirt comes into our apartment with all the related in and out activity. The communal spaces where we walk him likely harbor a lot of yuck I try not to think about. Every time I'd spot clean with a paper towel or wet wipe they'd come away filthy. Even if I'd very recently mopped. I did not want to walk on the floors barefoot. Or with socks, TBH, b/c they'd pick up the filth. We had a basic robot vac that worked well, but didn't have scheduling or a mopping function. When I began looking at replacing our basic robot with one I thought would automatically clean and mop our floors with little oversight, I discovered that the so-called mops on most robot mop/vacs kind of just wet and wipe. They don't really clean — they dispense a little cleaning solution onto a pad and drag it around the floor. I saw other robot mop/vacs that had spinning scrubbers instead. Those seemed like they'd be better, but I never took a hard enough look at them to know for sure. They were far more expensive, and just knowing I was shopping for a robot mop/vac at all was making my partner crazy. A couple weeks into it, he found a deal on a good brand with decent reviews. "It's this or nothing," he declared. It had the drag-behind pad, but I figured it would settle the argument and clean somewhat better. I didn't know the tank would need constant refilling, and I'd have to handle and wash gross mop pads all the time. While the new robovac/mop did settle the argument, its "mop" didn't get the floors any cleaner. Even when I religiously filled the tiny reservoir with expensive cleaning solution, and changed the mop pad daily. Several hundred dollars later, the best thing I can say about this robot is that it automatically and reliably preps the floors for the Narwal. I wound up buying the Narwal out of my separate account, knowing my partner might be annoyed, but couldn't really complain about it. Now, I don't have much more hands-on time than I was spending to babysit the robot "mop." More importantly, I can finally walk in my apartment barefoot or in socks, on floors that are clean—and feel like it. For the money, or even if money is far less of an issue, I'd get another Narwal wet/dry vac.

OMG this is God Sent!! Love this vacuum mop! It talks to you when you need to refill water or solution or empty dirty tank or if something is wrong. So easy to use! Love this different settings you can choose and the automatic detection of dirt is so nice. You do have to go over dirty sticky spots a few times but to me the convenience is worth every penny and spending some extra time on really dirty spots. It’s sooo light to bring around and the cordless ability is life changing! We have two young kids that make a mess everyday and every where so it’s just so nice to pull it out for a fast clean at the end of a nice to clean up food or spills or dirt from outside. The vacuum also pushes forward so it just adds ease to using it. I can vacuum with the baby in one hand and the vacuum in the other. Lastly, I have cleaned small carpet pieces with it and it didn’t soak it and it actually did a good job at cleaning it. Love this vacuum and recommend it to everyone!! Ps the dirty water tank emptying is so satisfying! I did a lot of research before deciding on this one!

This Mop Vac. is fantastic! After a back injury I purchased hoping for ease of use and it really performed. I have about 1400 Sq. Ft. of tile flooring and I am totally amazed at the dirt this machine cleans up. It glides across the floors, picks up crumbs, cleans edges well, damp mops and tells you where you have heavy soil build-up. NO, it does not clean the grout, but once the grout is cleaned it really helps keep the dirt build-up off if used on a regular basis. I have had no problem with clogging, but I do not have pets. I use it for about 40 minutes before it needs to be charged and cleaned. It sanitizes, cleans , and drys the roller when on the charging stand which takes about 40 to 45 minutes. I suggest you go to Narwhal's web site and watch the videos' on how to use, clean and charge the Vacuum. Very helpful and easier to understand than the written instructions'. I use this Vacuum 2 to times a week and could not be happier. I was able to purchase this product on sale through Amazon and now I recommend it to family members who are older or who just want a nice clean floor.

This machine was lovely until it wasn't. I *loved* this vacuum mop, I told people to buy it, I made guests try it out. Loved it. Great battery, squeaky clean floors. And then it failed. At first it said the filter needed replacing, I did that. Then it said the roller brush needed replacing. Did that. Then I noticed the cleaning cycle would stop mid cycle. Weird, but whatever. Now it is functional as a vacuum mop but I have to manually clean it because I get "error, contact customer sevice" message when I run the clean cycle. Now it's not using the cleaning solution Contact customer service, which tells me to restart the machine and then run the clean cycle (cant, thats the part that freezes). Its a month outside of warranty, so I am out of luck. Don't buy it, there are better machines out there. Less than a year of use shouldn't kill a $300 vacuum.

Second tool from Narwal I bought in a week, the first being the flow 2. Both work amazing. I bought this to have in the upstairs/master bedroom area to not have to buy a second robotic cleaner. This gives me the ability to move the cleaning head around to other areas and deal with one off spills, dirt on the stairs, entryway/etc. Just wish it worked on carpets so I could get ride of the old vacuum.

After using the NARWAL S20 Pro for a while in my apartment, this is the one cleaning tool that gets my floors genuinely clean in the shortest amount of time. Here's my honest breakdown. Cleaning power: The suction handles messes very well — wet and dry together in one pass, and it actually picks everything up rather than pushing it around. On my vinyl floors it leaves nothing behind. Weight and handling: This is the standout. It's the lightest and easiest-gliding machine of this type I've come across. Mopping usually feels like a chore, but this one I honestly enjoy using — I finish the whole apartment without getting tired. If you've been put off by how heavy wet-dry vacuums usually are, this is the one to try. Self-cleaning: The self-clean cycle is great, and it dries the roller too — so the brush is ready and fresh for the next run instead of sitting damp. That alone removes the most annoying part of owning a mop-vacuum. Battery: Long enough that I get through a full clean of my 900 sq ft apartment on a charge — I almost never have to stop and recharge mid-clean. Smart features: DirtSense is nice, though not perfect — in practice it adjusts the power down on lighter dirt to conserve battery, and ramps up when needed. The LCD and voice prompts are pleasant but nothing you couldn't live without. Emptying is super easy — dump the dirt, empty the water, quick rinse, done. No fuss. The one thing to know: the clean-water container is on the smaller side — on a bigger clean I sometimes refill once. But that's the trade-off for how light it is, and I'd take the lighter machine every time. TLDR: fast, light, self-maintaining — the shortest path from dirty floors to clean ones I've found.

Trapea super bien, me ayudo a quitar mugre pegada que no pude quitar con un trapeador normal, el único problema que tuve fue que me marcaba un error en la auto limpieza cuando intentaba cortar los enredos con las tijeras de la base, solo me sucedió dos veces y creo que el problema fue la posición en la que metía el dispositivo, no he vuelto a tener un problema igual.

I’ve been using this for almost two months in a 3-bedroom apartment with three kids, and it’s a total lifesaver. It effortlessly picks up raw eggs, fresh spaghetti messes, and even dried Nutella. The dedicated soap dispenser is also super convenient—I’ve only filled it once. The only drawback is the battery and docking setup: * Two-Session Cleaning: Toggling between Auto and Super mode gives about 20–25 minutes of run time, so I have to split cleaning the apartment into two sessions (morning and night). * Self-Cleaning Lockout: If the battery drops below ~35–40%, the dock blocks the self-cleaning and drying cycle until the machine recharges. I wish it let you clean at 10–20% battery or charged faster. Despite the charging quirks, it does a fantastic job with daily floor messes. Highly recommended!
