Perfect for on-the-go reading.
Lovely size, nice and portable, light to hold. Love that you can highlight in different colours. Screen quality is great, you can choose your preferred font and size too. It's worth noting that it come with OpenDyslexia font installed which I think is brilliant for those with dyslexia or visual stress that can affect ones ability to read. Interface is user friendly, easy to add books, and set up how you want to turn the pages (a variety of options are available). Quite expensive but it does feel like a quality reader.

Great bit of kit
Absolutely amazing, screen quality is great and the colour screen is incredible, the greyish filter you get on colour screens is barely noticeable

Great little ereader
The only negative thing about the Ereader is the price. Apart from that i am extremely happy with it.

Rather Good
First off make sure you buy from Amazon direct to pay the correct price of 139.99 not the inflated price other sellers are offering. Well the colour works rather well though of course the majority of books will still have the same bw text. I actually like the 6 inch size as I find it is easier to hold in my hands rather than the bigger screens and as you can adjust font size then readability is not an issue. What really bugs me about the Kindle (though everything else works fine) is that when you want to expand the Wikipedia info you have to tap the screen. On every Kindle I have had this never works without frustration. Whereas on the Kobo it's just a light press and away you go. I also like the fact that it isn't restricted to the Amazon propriety Mobi or AZW but uses Epub or Kepub and is much better for PDF files than the Kindle. You can also borrow direct from your library with Overdrive which is pretty nifty. Listen Kindles are fine but its nice to have alternatives and Kobo should be congratulated on bringing out a colour model that works really well.

A colour screen probably makes it harder to read in natural light.
I bought this at a time when the Kobo Clara BW and Colour were at the same price, and I think I would have been happier with the BW, because I hardly use the colour feature (I get to see text highlights and book covers in colour, which isn't that important to my reading experience) but in low light conditions the colour screen needs the backlight to be turned on while in the same lighting conditions my Kindle Paperwhite (a black and white e-reader) is perfectly readable without use of the backlight. If Kobo were to update the firmware with a landscape reading mode for ebooks, maybe a photo display mode (so I could transfer a collection of jpg files to my kobo and look at them) and even a mp3 player mode (so I could listen to music through the same bluetooth headphones I have to use for audiobooks) then that would improve the product.

Awesome
Can’t get over how tiny it is! It would probably fit in a jeans pocket. It’s not as good quality as kindles but I really like it! Is it slow and glitchy in that the images almost load before your eyes yes however it’s a fab little device! I would recommend just don’t expect it to be like a £200 kindle!

It's a great e-reader, if you keep in mind that the colour isn't its primary function
As the title says really: It's a great little e-reader with a colour function. The thing to keep in mind though is that the colour can only really be called 'a nice touch' To me, it's the same shade of colour and texture I used to see on cheap news print (kind of a washed out water colour on cheap paper) and as such has a certain charm left over from paper books. For visually pleasing book colours, illustrative diagrams, this is a great improvement. If however you're after for something to match a decent quality tablet/phone and those rich, vibrant colours, this is NOT for you, at least not if colour is important part. I was looking to buy a new e-reader and the colour version was out at the same time by coincidence so I'm really happy with this. However, I wouldn't recommend you go out and replace a reader you're already happy with solely on the basis of colour covers. In itself, I don't personally think it's a feature worth buying a whole device for. But, if you have the money and want a new toy... You could certainly do worse.

Piece of garbage.
Many profanities would explain why I need to send a 3rd internet ereader back for a refund. I'm genuinely looking for something like a classic Kindle. I have never had trouble with a kindle device regardless of content. because I found I enjoyed Playbook, Kobo, and Kindle. But the devices which allow these are not capable of an literal physical functioning. The screens are not suitable or fit to read, both on a B/W meboox and on a colour Kobo. So tell me why an older non various system internet ebook can handle smooth transition, because those devices which do have more transition have brighter screens. Which is allowed because the corporations which make them aren't filling them with junk to use all of an inadequate battery up. So if the advert tells you fantastic revolutionary e'ink. It basically meant the device is so rammed with over exertion that the screen the battery the brightness can't handle it and as a result this freezes the whole device. So I'm afraid I have to return yet another ereader. I tell you when this £145 item arrives. And it's out the box. It's like a cheap Kinda Surprise toy. It really is an over priced piece of junk. But the Kobo app in itself is much appreciated. As with phone networks. The network and the retail shops selling the phones are NOT owned by the same corporation. And I think Kobo are being done..Had.... As we say in England. Next I'm going to try a Lenovo smart paper. Which I'm getting USED. not from Amazon because it's more than the one on another site. Even though I know I'm just paying for essentially a half penny stencilled on white LENOVO sticker on the device. Upping the price to £450 or there around. For something that STILL isn't what I'm looking for. I would love a kindle with other apps. But I know this isn't Amazon's plan. Unless we all suddenly want one if they suddenly manufacture them.

Clara or Kindle for Singapore?
My second purchase for my niece. Strongly recommend getting this if you are in Singapore using NLB resources. The fact that this device is connects to Singapore's NLB ebooks already indicates the necessity to have this. Color is real and warm. It really elevates the reading experience. I like a stand alone device as it keeps kids honest about what they are doing on the ipad. Also, ipad's color may not gentle on the eye. Contrast to Kindle... Sometimes i tend to accidently press the button at the bottom and sleeps it. Clara's button is at the back where your finger will normally rest holding the device. and that helps....
