Excellent Headphones - With A Major Flaw Corrected By Purchasing A Second Pair of Headphones
I own the Bose QC 35, Ultra Gen 1, and now the Ultra Gen 2. I have to say that they are all great headphones but the Gen 2 are a cut above. Call quality is crystal clear. Sonically they are excellent. Noise reduction is fantastic. Battery life is great and they are comfortable for all day wearing. Materials, craftsmanship, and quality are also excellent. I've purchased the Sony's and returned them because they are not as good as the Ultras. I highly recommend these headphones. UPDATE: I ended up returning these headphones because the Bluetooth connection to my phone and computer stopped working with the app. Very frustrating experience. I selected multipoint in the app and connected the primary connection to my phone and the secondary connection to my HP Laptop PC. The problem is that YouTube doesn't work when the Headphones are selected in my laptop as the sound output device in Settings. When I deselect the Bose Headphones in my Laptop Settings, YouTube works. With the Bose Ultra's selected when I click on play in YouTube it immediately stops playing as if I removed the headphones from my head. I called HP Technical Support but they were of no help. They had me go through a bunch of useless troubleshooting steps that I already did to no avail. And I had trouble understanding the HP Technical Support because the Technician spoke with a heavy Indian accent. I ended up returning the Headphones and purchasing another pair to see if that clears up the problem. I want the Bose Ultra headphones to work because I really like the product. I received the second pair of Ultra Gen 2 headphones today. They are in desert gold and look beautiful! I downloaded the Bose App to my phone. On the App I went to my devices and selected Sources and then clicked on Multipoint. I paired the headphones to my cell phone and then I went to settings on my laptop computer and selected Bluetooth connections and then selected the Bose QC Ultra Gen 2 Headphones. I clicked on YouTube's Play and this time YouTube responded correctly by playing the song without stopping like it did previously. These headphones work! I am now a happy customer since my Ultra Gen 2's work flawlessly. UPDATE 2 Been wearing these headphones 10 hours per day and have to say that they are the most comfortable headphones I have ever worn. They continue to perform flawlessly however, I wish Bose would bring back the voice feature which announces the connection settings and the battery levels as in previous generations. They replaced this feature with a series of buzzes and pops which are rather uninformative. The ANC on these HPs is unreal. I have 2 loud air filters running 24/7 in the computer room and the ANC completely eliminates the sound. Also phone call clarity both incoming and outgoing are vastly improved. Battery duration is also noticeably improved. By placing the HPs down flat earcups down they enter a sleep mode. Finally don't waste your money and time purchasing the Sony WH-1000XM6. The Bose HPs are much better. They are more comfortable, they fold up for easy portability, the build quality is better, the design is sleeker (better headband, hinges and joints; the Sony's are boxier), and are sonically better than the WH-1000XM6. UPDATE 3 Turns out that Bose has a trade in program. So I traded in my QC 35II for an Ultra Gen 2 and got a $150 discount. I had to purchase the HPs on the Bose website however so I need to return the Amazon HPs back to Amazon. The other issue is that Bose sold the Gen 2s to me at full MSRP of $449 even though the Bose website and Amazon listed the HPs for $379. I called Bose to negotiate the better price but they wouldn't do it saying that the $379 price is a promotional discount and it doesn't apply to the Trade-In program. I am not a happy Bose customer as a result. UPDATE 4 Finally received my trade-in headphones. They set up perfectly. My phone and my computer stream seamlessly to the headphones. I am very happy with the Ultra Gen 2's even with the misunderstanding with Bose on the price. I got the Ultra Gen 2's for $299 after my trade-in. Sonically the Ultra Gen 2s are excellent. ANC works perfectly and call quality is also excellent. The Bose App is very easy to use. FINAL UPDATE I am still loving the Ultra Gen 2's. I've been listening to them 10 to 12 hours a day. Battery duration is excellent. They sound truly amazing. They work flawlessly.

Amazing Sound Quality, Comfort, and Noise Cancellation!
The Bose QuietComfort Ultra Bluetooth Headphones (2nd Gen) are absolutely impressive! The sound quality is outstanding, with rich detail, deep bass, and clear vocals that make music, podcasts, and movies feel more immersive. The noise cancellation is excellent and helps block out distractions, making them perfect for travel, work, or relaxing at home. The headphones are incredibly comfortable, even during long listening sessions. The ear cushions feel soft, the fit is secure, and the lightweight design makes them easy to wear for hours. Bluetooth pairing is quick and reliable, and the battery life is great for everyday use. I also love the premium build quality and sleek design. These headphones deliver the perfect combination of comfort, performance, and convenience. If you're looking for high-quality wireless headphones with amazing sound and comfort, I highly recommend the Bose QuietComfort Ultra!

Form, Function and Style By Bose
After many years of owning noise-cancelling headphones and earbuds from several other brands, when I saw the new QuietComfort Ultra Bluetooth Headphones (2nd Gen) were coming out, I knew I had to try them. I am so glad that I did. Packaged in a stylish, color-matched storage case, the White Smoke color is truly beautiful. There is sort of a satin sheen to the headband and ear cups, accented by a bold splash of chrome that connects everything together. The color-matched buttons are intuitively positioned, and easy to find whether in your hand, or already on your head. The headband and ear cups have a solid, yet comfortably-plush quality to them, allowing for extended use periods. It seems these should fit nearly anyone from small children to sumo wrestlers. The headphones charge quickly via USB-C, and paired easily to my iOS device, as well as my desktop PC. The inclusion of multipoint bluetooth support means I can be listening to music while connected to my desktop PC, but if a phone call comes in via my iOS device, the call will be instantly routed to the headphones. This was a much-needed feature that I am so glad to see Bose has added to the Gen 2 Ultras. Sound quality is excellent, whether listening to music, gaming, watching a movie, or taking a live phone call. I was told during several test calls that the microphones were picking up my voice very well, and that it sounded completely natural to the listeners. When you need some quiet time, the Noise Cancellation mode does an incredible job of keeping the world out. This is after all what the line is known for, and the Bose reputation for excellence has been well-earned. I have about 10 hours of use so far, and according to Bose, the headphones can last up to 30 hours before needing to be charged again. I look forward to many years of quiet enjoyment. Thanks, Bose!

Excellent sound quality and best ANC of any headphones
I love these Bose QuietComfort Ultra headphones. I used these on an international trip and the active noise canceling (ANC) was amazing. It is truly the best. I also liked that I could toggle between ANC and "Aware Mode" with just one tap of a button so I could hear announcements or quickly speak to people at the airport when needed. The ANC is the best I've had on any headphones. It was so quiet on the plan with these headphones. It created a quiet sanctuary and blocked out any jet engine noise or chatter going on around me. This allowed me to really enjoy watching movies with them because it made the spatial surround sound really stand out. This allows you to hear the sounds the way the filmmakers intended. This Cinema Mode allows you to hear sounds spatially (sounds that are far off in the distance sound far out in the distance; sounds that are behind you sound like they are coming from behind you). The surround sound is so well executed and it's hard to believe this quality of sound is coming from headphones. The comfort of these (and all Bose headphones) are the best I've ever worn. They are light and the cups are soft and comfortable. The band does not feel tight even on my husband's ridiculously large head. The battery lasted my entire 30 hour flight (15 hours each way) without charging. Charging is fast with USB-C. It paired seamlessly with my phone and laptop. It has its own app if you want to refine the sound but works perfectly without any adjustments. Volume control is simple: just slide your finger along the raised groove on the right cup. When you turn your headphones on, it tells you the status of the battery so you'l always know how full it is. The ear cups are replaceable. I love that it comes with its own zippered, hard case (truly a nice touch given that so many products are cutting corners and making once included accessories an option to purchase). And can we talk about how luxe these headphones look? They will definitely elevate your style. The gold and black are classic and timeless.

Bose removes core features after the sale and changes manual online
UPDATE 2: TLDR: The headset no longer will function without using the Bose app which is only available on cell phones. This prevents users who use the headset with other devices such as computers with no way to change what device the headset is connected to resulting in a denial of service of me using my headphones 4 months outside of the default return window. I noticed a problem with ANC with my air conditioners where the volume would increase and decrease with no music or call connected and change with each ear. so I installed the Bose app on a cellphone and connected to it to look if there was firmware with notes that claim improvements with ANC. I saw there was an update so I went and plugged in my headset to charge from 10%. I came back a few hours later and turned my headset on to see if it was charged and to my shock it would not work. It appears the firmware update was forced and downloaded\installed without my permission.. When the firmware was done I can no longer change devices on the headset. I checked my manual and the manual on Amazon and it clearly shows how to do it on page 30 (hit the power button to toggle between devices). When I look at the manual on Bose's website they completely removed that section and just say "Use the Bose app". I spoke with technical support and got nowhere so I called corporate. I spoke with someone there who confirmed it was a change made in the latest firmware to remove the functionality of the device, and said it will no longer function and there is no way revert the firmware as Bose has it locked down. They said they get complains about this change from customers AND inside Bose as it's a feature that tons of people use. So now the headset will only work with 2 devices with the Bose app (cellphones only) so no longer can you swap to use it on a Windows, Mac, Linux computer, etc as there is no Bose app and Bose has removed the functionality to change inputs on the headset. Here is a copy of the email I received from the corporate office as a follow up so I had it in writing. "This email serves as a follow up to our conversation on the phone earlier today regarding the multi-point connection changes in our latest firmware update. Today we discussed the Multipoint swap feature and how it stopped being functional after the latest update patch. I’d like to apologize for this as I understand it was a key feature for your personal use of the Headphones and has made it so that you can no longer operate them how you wanted to prior to the update. Sadly, Bose cannot provide a refund here and the only warranty options we have would be an exchange to the same Headphones with the same features. As a result, I would recommend returning these to the place of purchase for a full refund." Ironically the firmware update didn't even fix the problem with ANC, my air condition gets loud in 1 ear, then the other, then quiet again all by itself with no noise change, so I can't even use these during the summer months as it hurts my ears and gives me a headache having it with air conditioners on in my house as I work. Original review and first update are below, which to me no longer matter as the device no longer functions on a core level (Bluetooth ANC headset that can pair and communicate with multiple devices and allow changing of input devices using the headset) Anytime it received audio from any other device except my computer it breaks unless I manually disconnect and connect on my computer. There is NO Windows app whatsoever. Who in their right mind thought in 2025 to not support connecting to a computer with headphones. The sound quality is below average, the non-ultras sound just as good if not a little better. The fit is very good though, the non-ultras fit terrible with the small band up top, this is comfortable but if it can't stay connected to my computer like all my other older headphones that's the point. Update: I highly recommend after setting the device up to uninstall the Bose app from all your devices and then you can force connections using the "smart" button sometimes you can get it to force an audio stream, but it's very touchy. If the app is installed it will force connections despite only allowing 2 at once (think computer and personal/work phone type setup.

More comfortable than Apple Sony Or Sennheiser
So i was split between getting these Bose or the Sennheiser HDB630. And that decision is based on what will you use these headphones for. I ultimagely bought these because: they were on sale, and I wanted something I could wear all day with out fatigue. These are so comfy and light I forget I have them on, the Sennheiserare heavier and are warmer making your ears hotter. All the hundreds of Reddit reviews and youtube reweiws have your answers if you're on the fence about sound quality the sennheiser sound way better, but less comforable and the noise cancleation doesnt come close to these Bose That being said I needed I can wear All day while at work with good noice cancleing so I can focus. The sound on these headphones aren't bad by any means i'm specifcally comparing to the best sounding noice canceling headphones available which are teh seinhezers. Between these and the Sony's I feel its a little closer but these are way more comforatable the competeing Sony's which clamp tighter. So if you travel alot and prefer the best noise cancleing and comforable headphones, these are them. As far as Apple airpods Max goes, those are less comfortable than this and sound okay. The trick to getting these to sound better is by dropping the EQ bass -3 or -4 because the bass in these headphones are a bit muddy, There is sub-bass in these headphones that can be heard even with -3 on the bass eq. The Good: super comfy, wear all day, I charge these 1-2 times a week only because they turn off to save battery as soon as you take them off your head. They have the emmersion setting that's simalar to the way apple does it and it sounds really good (not to many people talk about this in reviews) I don't use it all the time for specific music and songs it works really well, you can buy the same USB dongle just like you can with the Sennheiser for losless playback or USB from headphone into computer or Phone also noticably better, clearer and louder than bluetooth (always better to go wired than bluetooth regardless of which headphone), They fold up small for trave. the case is nice, The beigh/tan color is fire (i have so many black headpohnes) this is nice for a change, and i feel fancy. Connection between my iphone, macbook, and desktop is pretty seemless, the headphones know which ones you're using and switch automatically, There is EQ but its' pretty basic. price is good compared to HDB630, I got this on sale on Amazon as it will do time to time. Again Sound is really good and Sub Bass is there, I listen to a lot of House, detroit Techno, tech house, Breaks, Bass, Jazz, Rock, hip hop, soul, disco etc.. The bad: The bass is there, its just a little muddy its recommended by most reviews to turn the bass down in the eq so you can turn the volume up more to hear more definitino in the bass, occadionally there are randomm discoonnects, but i notice this more when I'm tyrin got dance with them and i'm moving, it will pause the music. not always not enough to make me frustrated, Ther's a slight learning curve to knowing how the headphones priortizes chats/calls etc on one device if you're trying to listen ot another device. Recommendation: All that being said you have to decide if you just want to hear the best quality audio from your music for a couple hours than go for HDB630. If you want to or need to wear headphones around casually all day for work and want to forget you're wearing headphones or if you're neruodivergent then go for these Boses, These Bose headphones sound arguably better than the Airpod Max's, It only falls short of the HDB630 when comparing to those.

Very Pleased with this Headset
I bought my husband and myself both a pair of these headsets. We live in a small house and don't always have the same taste in movies, music, etc. I finally caved and bought two sets. We both absolutely love these headsets. We bought the blue and beige. Both look very striking and are not flimsy to hold. My husband's headset is hooked up to his computer (which is synced up to the TV in the living room) and mine is synced with my android phone. Both headsets were extremely easy to set up. It only took a couple of minutes to get everything set. The sound quality is amazing. These are the first high-end headsets we have ever had and were blown away how the immersive the sound is even on low volume levels. The sound quality really is very good for multiple types of media (music, podcasts, movies, etc.). The app is extremely easy to use to adjust/customize the sound. The bluetooth range is about 50 feet. For us, that is from one end of the house to the other. We can walk around our home without losing signal. The batter life is pretty spot on at 30 hours of listening time. They charge quickly and I love that if you put them down flat, they turn off automatically to preserve battery life. They are extremely comfortable to wear. I don't like wearing hats or anything on my head, but these are well cushioned that even I wear them for long periods of time without a headache. This is huge for me. While they are expensive, I think the sound quality and comfort are worth what we paid for the headsets.

Good, but.....
Why the 3 stars? First set started acting wonky after a couple weeks. Thankful I could replace as I was still in the AMZ window. The ANC circuit went bad on right side. When activated, a static and clipping noise was herd. Switched off they were very good. These are for isolated listening on my PC to eliminate house noises. These are replacements, and so far they are exactly what I expected. Good sound. Good ANC. VERY comfortable. I will update if they don't crap out. I moved to these from Sony XM4's as I loved the Sony sound, but they were not comfortable with my extended listening (movie/sports). The Bose are much more comfortable, sound quality might be a little less. For my purpose, they are perfect. My only concern will be longevity/life.

Also nur Stereo.

Best ANC, truly 40hr battery, very comfy
I’ve owned the Bose QC35 II for 8 years and use them daily, so the QuietComfort Ultra is a significant upgrade. The noise cancellation is outstanding and easily the best I’ve experienced. Sound quality is well-balanced rather than bass-heavy like Sony’s XM series. With Immersive Audio off, the QC35 II still holds up surprisingly well, with only slightly less bass. Mids and treble are very similar. Immersive Audio is impressive and creates an open, speaker-like effect, though it sounds a little tinny to me, so I usually leave it off to extend battery life. Transparency mode is excellent—better than my AirPods Pro—and I can comfortably take calls without removing an earcup, unlike with the QC35 II. Comfort is exceptional. They’re lighter than the QC35 II, and I’ve worn them for over 10 hours a day without discomfort. Battery life has been excellent. I got through an entire weekend of around 24 hours of listening, plus another 20 hours across the following weekdays before needing to recharge on Thursday night. I mostly use Spotify Lossless wirelessly, but wired on my iPhone and iPad the sound quality is even better. As an enthusiast (not an audiophile), I’m very satisfied. Bluetooth performance is mostly reliable, though I experienced occasional static with a Pixel 9a, likely due to Android multipoint issues. My biggest disappointment is multipoint switching. My QC35 II switches audio almost instantly when I pause my TV and start a video on my phone. The Ultra has a noticeable delay of a few seconds, making it feel more like Sony’s implementation. The volume slider takes some getting used to, but it’s only a minor annoyance

Eccellente cuffia
Quindi esperienza musicale unica quanto a polifonia.

6 days in, the best investment i made and will keep
6 days in, here are my thoughts. COMPARISON WITH SONY: Straight off the bat, have to say, much better than Sony. While I appreciate Sony’s palm over ear gimmicks, something to keep in mind is its impossible to tell which side is which because Sony made it really small on the outside (most headphones have inside L and R indicators), so I spent like an hour trying to figure out my whatsapp calls wouldnt go through — turns out it was the wrong side. SOUND: While Sony does have the nice gimmicks, Bose is unmatched for sound. The bass hits HARD, the sound is crisp and clear. Billie Jean and other trailer music or bass-heavy songs sound incredible. Noise cancellation is obviously also unmatched. Both Sony and Bose leak sound though, so keep that in mind. It’s not a huge issue for me, and it isnt that bad for me. Charging is pretty fast, im honestly blown away by how quick it charges. Within a few minutes, it jumps from 0 to 10, then about a while in, perhaps half an hour-to an hour, its at full (though id check other reciews to make sure). Connectivity is pretty easy too like airpods, switching between devices. Mainly, i turn off bluetooth in my phone and move to another device and just tap the connect button on bose if it doesnt go through the first time. The controls like EQ, mode, etc are pretty easy to go through using the app, but i dont know if i would recommend the shortcut feature, since its super easy to trigger it with just the slightest pressure, so take from that what you will. I would prefer not to trigger it that easily, but each to their own. My personal choice for EQ: base at 10, mid at 6, treble at 3, and test out Billie Jean. Cinematic is a solid choice for mode. I dont know too much about durability since im only a week in, but ive done a shake test, tested the hinges, and it works great. So far, pretty durable. Ive seen other reviews attest to this before buying it too. The design is honestly so much better than Sony xm6, looking a lot more “expensive” or sleek. It also feels about the same in comfort, but I have to give the edge to Bose for that. The ear puffs are very soft, is lightweight and the headphones are adjustable somewhat. The ear puffs are also replaceable whereas Sony’s are not. Apparently Sony has a connectivity bug going for years. In my opinion, while Sony can be a second cheaper option, Bose is a better longer term investment, and a better value for money. Im keeping this one. Best of luck choosing :)
