Black+Decker Coffeemaker 12-Cup Programmable Coffee Maker, Silver, CM4000S, Black/Stainless Steel

I have had Black and Decker coffee makers in the past, and I ordered this one to replace my Black and Decker coffee maker that is about 4 years old and started getting some age on it, still works however and is being saved just in case there is a need for it. In my opinion the flavor of the coffee comes out great. You have the option of selecting the brew strength but I don’t think you necessarily need to do that. The coffee stays nice and hot in your cup even after adding your cream to it and the longevity of their products are hard to beat. I really liked the style too, the stainless on it is a nice touch and goes with my appliances and it makes it look a bit fancier too. I recommended this coffee maker to a friend and they bought one and love it too! Very satisfied with my purchase and I will probably always have a Black and Decker.

This thing makes really good coffee, looks good, and lasts. I'm sure it's made hundreds of pots of coffee every year I've owned it and it's quite easy to clean.

Great brewer all around. Super easy to use and quick. The only issue is when you open the top to fill the reservoir the condensation on the underside of the lid drips down behind the unit onto the counter. You have to clean it up each time. Very small problem though.

Replacement for a wretched Keurig. The trick is not being afraid to have to work on getting your mix dialed in. Too much water - too little coffee etc . . . Definitely buy Fresh Ground Coffee. Trader Joes sells whole bean coffee and a provides a grinder that allows you to choose the grind size. You'll figure it out and be rewarded in the end.

Dislike #1 the fact that you can’t see how much water to add unless you use the carafe #2 when you add water it spills unless you really pay attention while adding it, because you have to add it to the sides on top.#3 the filter holder makes a mess when emptying the grounds, because unless you hold the handle on it back it catches the filter. #4 hard to see the clock/ timer unless you use a flashlight or well lit area. I’m learning what to avoid. It works well, makes coffee easily, not quickly, keeps it hot for 2 hours, and is easy to turn on. Okay for the price. I had to replace my Mr. Coffee maker after 9 yrs of daily use. As with anything you have to use it a few times to figure out what’s best for you. I truly would recommend something else, but I’ll keep this as, at least it works.

I like that the programming is simple to use. The coffee ☕️ stays on hot for about 2 hours but doesn’t burn it. For the price this is a great value! This is a coffee maker with great features!

This may have been an isolated case but after a few uses the programming display window fogged up and never cleared making the unit unusable. The return process was involved including cutting the power cord, taking and submitting a photo, submitting information and talking with two different departments. Eventually I was able to obtain a replacement unit. This purchase was made in Sept 2021 so I cannot confirm if this return process is still in place. If the condensation issue is a more widespread problem, I would not know if the problem has been addressed by the manufacturer. I have set the replacement unit aside and am using a different brand coffeemaker that I like better.

best, durable coffee maker i've owned,period. 6 years old and still going. pot is strong and never replaced. i seen a really good deal on a new one and going to use it when the old one gives up. recommend!
