Great for privacy in common area
My 9yr old son needed privacy as he sleeps in a common area which is also the brightest and coldest room in the house. This fixed all 3 problems providing privacy, darkening and warmer environment and he loves it! The other kids with actual bedrooms were jealous of his tent. Have only had for one week but seems sturdy including zippers, have not yet tried to wash but easy to set up if you have a lighter mattress (can’t imaging trying to get a heavier memory foam king in/out of the tent) so hopefully easy to take down and cold wash and will try tumble dry on no heat to avoid shrinking. Easy to activate one year warranty by email, those instructions are in the package. I’m going to be doing a home renovation and we all may be sharing sleeping areas for a few weeks so I may be buying a couple more to give us all privacy/separate space. I wish it also came in a toddler bed size haha

Very sturdy and fits top or bottom bunk no matter where your ladder is!
I have 11 year old and 17 year old sons. They share a bedroom with bunk-beds and I purchased 2 of these bunk-twin bed-tents. They BOTH love them. I like that the bunk twin size has a "door" option for any position of a ladder, it just depends what end you insert the mattress into first, so you can have the door open for a rear-left side ladder, and then bottom tent's door open at the front-left side, and so on. Very versatile design for any bunk-bed setup you may have. Getting the mattress into them was a bit tricky, but my 11 year old helped me get the top mattress in, and my 17 year old helped me get the bottom mattress in. (I am 5', 120 lbs, so I'm not exactly wonder woman when it comes to upper body strength); We found the easiest way to get them in was turn the mattress on it is long-side, diagonally, to get the tent started on the "headboard" end of the mattress, and then just work it towards the "footboard" end with my son on one side and me on the other and shimmying it down bit by bit so as to not rip the material or snap the poles that pre-installed inside it. It took about 10 minutes total, actually pretty easy. Same process for the top bunk mattress, and we stood on stools so we didn't even have to take the top mattress down to install it, we just flipped it on its long-edge side, moved it diagonally so the short-edge of the mattress was hanging off a bit to get it started and then same process. So the bottom of these tents sit all the way under the the mattress, fully enclosing the whole mattress inside the tent (you insert the mattress through the short-side "window" to get it started), which keeps it sturdier, and prevents it from leaning like other tents we've used. I also love the zippered-pockets for the horizontal poles you install once you get the mattress in. They are very sturdy and well-sewn. I have had these bunk tents since December (about a month and half), and they are holding up wonderfully. No tears or punctures, the zippers are all functioning perfectly, the screens are sturdy and haven't torn, and that is saying a lot when you have two very active boys. Of course they know to respect and treat furniture properly, they know they can't hang off the poles of these tents or throw their bodies into the sides of them horse-playing and what not, but considering the problems I have had with other tents when being treated properly, these so far have held up the best, are the sturdiest, offer great privacy but the option for plenty of ventilation, and I am very happy with them. So are my boys. They think they are best gift. Wow!

If you’re debating, buy this one.
Fantastic bed tent. Very spacious and well made. It’s been a year since we purchased and it’s still in excellent condition. Fits well on the bed. Has tons of openings that can be unzipped, either fully or to expose netting. Keeps the sleeping area nice and warm in the winter. Very clean design that has been well loved. Washed up well in the washing machine and was easy to reassemble.

Small quality control issue and a few oversights drag this one down a bit. Still, it's a nice tent.
My daughter and I decided that after 14 years her bedroom needed an overhaul. Her "old" bedroom featured a mesh princess-like canopy that was fine for her when she was five years old but not so much for a 14 year old, although she did like the concept of an enclosed sleeping area. So I susprised her with this tent and she thoroughly loves it as a more grown-up version of her canopy. I'm not going to pontificate on the features of this tent; it does the job as well as expected. It makes a nice dark little cave for sleeping in, and is large enough to not feel confining. The built-in pocket where you can store an iPad or book or something is a nice touch. Things about this tent which customers should be aware of, but I'm not taking any points away for... If the bed you're putting this on has a headboard AND a footboard that's higher than the mattress height, it will be difficult to install. The intention is to set up the tent on a bare box spring, then slide the mattress inside one of the open ends of the tent. If your bed has only one (either a headboard or footboard), or if your headboard/footboard is lower than the mattress height, then it will be easier as you'll have the open end to work with. The "black" color is highly dependent upon the area lighting. In natural light it's definitely more like a dark olive green, but with "soft light" indoor LED lighting it's more of a dark charcoal gray but you'd only really notice this if you were standing next to it wearing, say, a black t-shirt. Your shirt will probably be darker than the material on this tent. Things about this tent which I _am_ taking away points for... First and foremost, there was a tear in the tent. I opted not to replace the tent because the tear was relatively small (about 2"), easily repaired, and in an area which wasn't visible to the eye (it's at the fabric joint where the side of the tent meets the base). I stitched it back together with nylon thread and a needle, took about ten minutes, and the repair is holding. Still, a damaged item out of the box isn't great. There is a plastic loop at the top-center of the tent where you can hang a light or fan. I like that they put an actual piece of plastic there rather than just a fabric loop which would be prone to wear and ripping. Except the loop is REALLY tiny, about the diameter of a nickel. The only camping thing which fit in there is a little battery-powered insect repellent fan, which is unnecessary for this application. Everything else had hooks that were too large for this tiny loop. I worked around this by adding a small carabiner to the loop, only that makes anything you hang lower, intruding on the space. A larger diameter loop, or even better a small carabiner, would have been fantastic. At either end of the tent is a mesh-covered opening to allow for ventilation. Outside of the tent is a solid fabric panel that can be zippered open or closed; this panel covers the entire end of the tent. (It's this panel you'd unzip to put the mattress inside.) The zipper for this is outside of the tent. This configuration would work perfectly well if the tent were used in an outdoor situation; you'd want that outer panel closed to protect against rain before it gets to the mesh. That makes perfect sense. Except this tent isn't intended for outdoor use. So the problem here is this: Let's say you've got the outer panels zipped up and in the middle of the night you wake up because it's just way too warm. Now you have to get completely out of bed/leave the tent, find the zipper, unzip one panel, go to the other side of the bed, find THAT zipper, unzip the other panel, then go back inside (by which point you're probably wide awake). If the zipper was accessible from the inside, or else is if there was another panel inside the tent covering the mesh, then all you'd need to do is lean forward, unzip, lean back, unzip, and you're done. Such a design would be impractical for an outdoor tent but for an indoor tent it makes complete sense.

Worth the high price
I think that we can all agree: $115+ is a steep price to pay for a tent this size (Twin in my case). But this particular tent just so happens to fit-onto/integrate-with a bed and it does so very, very well. What's more, Alvantor seem to have the bed-tent (tent-bed?) market cornered and well, 'supply and demand' is a thing (or *things* I guess, huh?). Sorry, I'm in a bit of a fog having spent the better part of 3 hours inside one of these tent-bed-tents. A "fog" only because I didn't want to come out. SOMEone decided that it was unreasonable for me to nap longer..merely bc it's THEIR bed. Pffft...the nerve. amirite?? First let me tell you, installation was surprisingly simple and straightforward. The tent arrives in it's folded, storable state. One only need release 3 plastic clips to bear witness as it unfolds in all of it's glory. As I'm certain so many do, our bed-tent-bed went atop a loft bed. Allow me to regale you with the proverbial nuts n bolts of installation so you'll know what to expect there: 1) Remove the mattress (we'll be sliding it back inside the tent in a moment). 2) The three arched, structural support pieces are pre-installed and ready to go once you've released the aforementioned clips. Simply align the tent-bed-tent to the base of the bed. Eyeball it, no laser levels, calipers nor micrometers required. 3) Aside from the tent itself, you've got THREE parts to contend with. Identical, collapsed poles that easily unfold and come together to run perpendicular (long-ways) to the pre-installed arched poles. Ya can't miss the zippered entry points: one along the top and two each along the sides. Slide em in without so much as a word as others in the room stand in awe and gawk at your mastery. 4) Time to slide that mattress back in, y'all! Either end fully unzips to allow this impressive maneuver. The mattress will cover the "floor" of the bed-tent-bed for structural rigidity. Now flash a smile at your surely growing audience, MacGyver...we're in the home stretch. 5) Four ties of your favorite knot at each corner to further fasten your tent-bed-tent to the bedposts/frame and you. are. DONEZO. Actually, just go with a simple 'bow', here. Save the Alpine Butterfly Loop for your next K2 hike, ya bad-ass. Mmmhmm...my bombastic blathering notwithstanding, that's "it". What you're left with is a sweet tent (...on a bed) that stands right up to the somewhat lofty 3-figure pricetag. There's a hook-loop inside on the ceiling just begging for a ~$20 wireless, rechargeable fan/led light combo (w/ remote) to complete the cool cave. In all seriousness, this is a fantastic product that I am certain you will not regret purchasing. I won't lie to you and say that I don't wax-manic over just any ol' thing like this. I do, I do. But if you're already here considering this item much less, suffering my diatribe antics, you've already bought it, anyway. Enjoy your nap.

Keeps the Monsters Away!!!
We got this to help my kid transition to her "big girl bed," a few years ago. It has been used almost daily and is still in really great shape. We liked it so well we bought the screen version for warmer months. We call this one her "winter house." The zippers on the inside and outside of the doors are awesome since even zipped in to "stay safe from monsters," she can still get out to take herself to the bathroom and shut herself back in. We actually put these tents away recently since out big girl doesn't need them anymore and it reminded me to leave a review. I also recommended this tent to my sister who travels/backpacks frequently and she loves it for her travels, too. It's not even hard to put back into the little travel bag, you just have to follow the instructions which are SEWN IN to the bag itself. This is a sturdy, practical, high quality bed tent. It is worth EVERY PENNY.

Perfect!
I have these on both 2 beds. My kids love them they get the privacy they need, or they want. My thirteen year old is on the spectrum, and it helps him to feel secure when sleeping. He splits a room with his 10yr old brother and it allows him to have his own space. The inside and "window" features are great they have spots for storage and a loop to hang a light or fan. My daughter can absolutely have no light or sound when she sleeps especially to fall asleep and this works wonderful. I put it together and inplace by myself, it was super easy! Just remember to check under the mattress when cleaning cause it can be a bit of a black hole depending on your kids🤣

Soft wet suit like material, black out properly works too. Cosy as a pig in you know
Brought 1 for my partner just to be walmer, very easy to slide the bed tent up the mattress, also the 3 poles are easy to install. The material is quite soft.. useing the entrance at the head end, the pole in the middle makes it hard for a adult to get in, therse no room to swing your leggs in, due to the zip only going as far as the middle pole.. also if you use the foot end side doors as an adult it's sketchy, trying to get in and move up the bed, then turn to sit up, back down the bed, zip up, back up the bed. Nice quality made, abit like a soft wet suit material.. I had the bedroom light on and when putting the poles in on the inside, I had to use a torch to see inside so the black out works. If your fit and able it's 100 percent for you if your after a bed tent. Me and my partner both have issues health wise and we managed ok, just sketchy the first fue times till your brain gets around it. I paid £125 for mine but there was the same item for £180 that some one had returned and I got it new, undamaged ect for £125 so scan the page lol
