Number of kills MUCH reduced
Our kitty is a very aggressive Hunter and was bringing in a couple kills per day...birds, mice, voles, lizzards, you name it. Since the bib it's more like one kill every couple weeks. Percentage of birds drastically reduced but she still gets the occasional lizard or mouse. That said, she seems to have learned to get out of her collar recently. She has lost 3 in the past 6 weeks. Still working on a solution to that.

What all the cool cats are wearing this season
It seems really effective. My indoor/outdoor cat was wearing the brightly colored fabric ruffs that are supposed to alert birds to his presence but once spring came around we started finding kills (adult white winged doves and fledgling curve billed thrashers). He hasn't brought home a bird in two weeks. Although he might look funny to humans with his big dumb bib, he's a super cool cat and hasn't let on that he even notices he's wearing it.We take it off in the evening and then put it on either before we go to bed or at sunrise. He usually likes to go hunting after his breakfast but I prefer to have him wearing it whenever the birds are active.

Bad idea
I put this on my cat. It prevented him from catching birds. It also prevented him from jumping away from a speeding car. I miss him terribly. Don't buy this unless you love birds more than your cat.

Works but . . .
I bought this for a feral cat that I feed and that is a killing machine. Rabbits, chipmunks, mice, skunks, snakes, frogs, birds, nothing is safe. It likes to leave them as gifts and artistically display them for me. I love animals so watching the daily carnage was upsetting me. I, however, didn't want to remove the cat from its home. It was on my property when I bought the place. I started feeding it because it looked in rough shape during last winter (when it kills far less). When I put the bib on the cat, I left for a few hours to go to the store. When I came back both the break away collar and bib were gone. I couldn't find it anywhere. I thought that was a quick twenty dollars thrown away.I found it under a tree a few months later when snow melted. I wasn't going to reattach it, but then she dropped a barely living baby rabbit by my feet. So I reattached the bib with another type of collar that doesn't break away. It has now been on a few weeks. The bib along with some really loud bells definitely is making a big difference in the killing. It alters her gait slightly and in addition to the loud bells allows others to know she is coming by the color. The cat seems not to be bothered by the bib too much and has adapted to wearing it.I know people's opinions will differ but I wouldn't bother with this product if you don't attach it to a strong collar that will not easily break away. This is because the cat will initially make some effort to get it off. Most break away colors will not overcome a motivated cat.

Cat Catches Far Fewer Birds and Small Mammals
This bib really does cut down on the number of mice, voles, birds, and squirrels my cat catches. I have two bibs, so when my cat gets her bib wet after a rainstorm, I can swap to the other bib and let the first one dry out.

Doesn't work
My cat brought in a bird in the first 5 minutes he wore it.

Needs improvement
I bought one of these a few years ago. At first it reduced the number of dead critters my cat would bring me. As time went on my he adjusted to it making it pretty much useless. I have a couple of suggestions that would make this product much better. The length of the bib is too short. The closer it hangs to the ground the better. Secondly, the neoprene material is too light and lacks rigidity which makes for little resistance to a cat that is determined to kill something.

It was easy to use and he did tolerate it
It slowed his bird killing but did not stop it. He would kill a bird a day before and it reduced to one or two a week. It was easy to use and he did tolerate it.
