Grafix Dura-Lar Film, .001 in, Ultra Clear Glossy, 27 in x 50 ft, Roll

I am using this Dura-Lar Film to cut stencils with my Cricut Explore and LOVE it. It makes making my signs so much easier. This cuts like butter and makes reusable stencils in no time. I will be purchasing this as long as I keep creating signs! I set my machine on custom settings then select stencil and it cuts great. If you are a cricut user and want to start making stencils this is the product for you. I haven't tried it with my Cameo yet but I trust it will work just as well. I am thrilled to have finally found a way to make reusable stencils instead of having to cut a new one with each sign.

I have a business making modern and stylish reusable stencils- mostly catered to wood sign makers and this Grafix Durlar is the perfect material to make the stencils with. I cut the Durlar with my commercial vinyl cutter and it cuts this .07mil no problem. This .07mil fits my needs perfect as it is sturdy but also flexible. I am able to cut stencils that can be reused 100’s of times if handled with care. It is non adhesive so if you need it to stay in place I suggest lightly misting with a repositionable craft spray adhesive. It cleans up really well with a dab of dish soap and warms water.

This is a great product!! I used this to make stencils using my Cricut for my craft business. I used it for the stencil on this image, which has small delicate text/fonts. I previously purchased the .007 thickness for the same purpose and it worked great as well, but given the difference in price per square inch, I'll stick with this .005 version. If you are familiar with cutting machines, the .005 thickness would be comparable to a double layer of the protective film on the cutting mats. It would not puncture, it is flexible - great for uneven surfaces such as pallet signs with various thicknesses because the .005 plastic will bend/stay flat against the surface better than thicker (stiffer) material. However, with delicate designs you could tear it, if you are too rough or the adhesive you use is too strong. From my experience, I have not had any issues cutting this product or using it multiple times as a stencil. The setting I used to cut this was: blade depth 3, pressure: max, speed: high - single cut, no need to double.

This polyester makes perfectly clear double interior storm windows, which save us about 50% on our heating. They last 35 years, and help both our house and camper stay nice and warm inside. Two 3mil 40" x 50' rolls were enough to build double window inserts for our whole house, and this is the best price I've found anywhere. Either build 1x2 wood frames and use double stick tape to attach the polyester film on both sides, with open cell foam weatherstrip around the outside to make a compression fit into the window sill, or tape it directly to a non-opening window frame, as long as you have at least a 1/4" air space, or better yet 1/2" to 3/4". Excellent for protecting antique books. Premium plastic cover low acidity. It is recommended that you replace them every 5 to 10 years. However this film is superior chemistry optimized to enable book guardians protect their books so they may travel safely to future generations. Its a little pricey for vinyl but if you want the best for your documents it is a small price to pay. - so clear you can barley tell it is on your books - chemically balanced to time capsule your collection - It molds well around the book, and provides support to antique book spines, boards and end papers - Actually improves the appearance of the books it covers - Protects your books from exposure, scuffs, insects, and humitidy The only reason it does not get 5 stars is because it is comparatively expensive as compared to inferior products. (But this is minor in my opionion as you do not want to cut costs when archiving priceless books)

I was looking for an environmental friendly way to protect my wooden dining table, or to avoid washing the cotton table cloth all the time. My wife wouldn't approve off any plastic table cloth that look a lot worse than her current beautiful one. I tried the temporary plastic table cloth for parties, and try to let it stay on the table as long as I can. That won't be a solution and they are too thin to be convenient. They are easily punctured. I was looking for a clear plastic sheet to cover the current table cloth so she wouldn't notice much. The ones on the market are mostly PVC. When I replaced the kid's shower lining last time, I though I was lucky to discover the cheapest plastic liner on the world in Target in a very hard to find corner. I didn't realize that the awful smell that we tolerated for days were toxic. Now we have PEVA instead. So obviously I won't get a PVC anything for my dining table. I didn't thought of just using a large piece of glass. But this will only be applicable for putting on wood directly. It will be too much trouble to change the table cloth if the glass is on top. For glass you need other table mats for cushion. Now this polyester sheet is perfect. It is actually 40 inch by 12 feet. It wouldn't make sense if it were 12 inch long. The only con is that I have to pay for 12 ft rather than 6 ft. And I have to cut it to size. Once unrolled, it has a tendency to stay flat. So it was easy to work with. It looked like glass, but you can't find the thickness at the edges. I boiled a pot of water, stopped the heat, let the bubbles subside, and put it on a piece of spare sheet. It didn't do anything to it. No marks. No signs of softening or melting. There is absolutely no smell of any type. This particular sheet is not FDA approved for food contact, but polyester the material can be approved in some applications. It's competitive with cotton because it doesn't need all the water to grow. We have mats for the forks and spoons so there's zero concern for us. The alternative is acetate sheet that is FDA approved for food contact. But it is not tear resistance and not heat resistance. The thickness is about a piece of normal paper. It can easily be cut to size with a scissor, but not a paper cutter. So you need not worry about damage by forks and knives. They may make a dent but no holes. The dents may be healed by a hairdryer but I don't worry about that. My other uses for the rest of the roll. Obviously, it makes good drawer liners. If there is a reasonable fit, it's pretty hard to lift the liner up. I cut the sheets with scissors by hand and get reasonable "straight" lines to fit the bottom. Update 11/2020 - Amazingly, it still looks like that. It's still in one piece. The edges and corners are intact. There are fine swirl marks due to daily use but you have to get close to see it. There are also one or two slight dish impressions and distortion when dishes are accidentally put on the table straight from the oven. But you can see a vague circle, and the sheet is still pretty flat around it. I must confest I haven't washed the table cloth under since!

The roll is nice so you can cut your own desired size. Long lasting and reusable. Great for making patterns in my art studio. Comes in various widths to satisfy your preferences. I would recommend this product.

This material is stiff enough to work with, doesn't easily krinkle, and cuts easy enough. I use this product as monitor cover sheet, crystal clear and very, very thin. I tried a lot of different plastic sheets types, most are .002, which is too thick and not transparent enough, for covering my screens, or too thin like plastic wrap. But this is exactly what I was looking for. This roll will cover many, many monitors. Cleans easy with Windex. Tape them to the monitor using 1/2" wide Kapton tape, which never leaves a residue.

Même si mon plotter ne passe pas au travers le film, c'est qd même plus facile pour découper un pochoir. Facile de couper le rouleau s'il est trop large, je l'ai fait avec une scie à chantourner. Bonne épaisseur. Excellent pr stencils pr airbrush.

This is great to keep my paintings clean. Good stuff. I will have to get some that is not quite so thick

Crei que era un rollo pequeño, pero en realidad es un rollo grande con bastante material.

The discreption does not say it being a wrap.For the price I paid I expected something sturdier for my craft.This is disappointing ,and a rip-off!
