Fox Run Baking Gadget, Non-Stick Kransekake Mold, Norwegian Wedding Cake Rings

These Kransekakke rings are absolutely perfect! They are sturdy, durable, work like a charm and are worth every penny! Although they are non-stick, I like to lightly dust the molds with a bit of cornmeal to help make sure the rings don’t stick to the molds. Afterwards they’re super easy to wash. Makes an impressive sized cake that we all enjoy snacking on throughout the Christmas’s week.

Fantastic, heavy-duty molds with a lovely nonstick surface. This is my first kransekage ever, and it went together well using the enclosed recipe and instructions. The only thing that's tricky is the assembly, simply because there are 18 graduated rings, so it's best to be sure to lay them out, size-wise, before assembling. Kransekage makes a nice festive conversation starter, and it's great for gluten-intolerant people, since it contains only almond flour, egg whites, and powdered sugar.

Pans are great - the almond cookie/cake recipe? Not so much. We made a trial run using the recipe included; very difficult dough to work with, cookies broke coming out of the moulds, and became hard as rocks in a day. (As a note, this was not our first rodeo baking with almonds - we make macarons and marzipan desserts often). Attempt #2, we used our tried-true sugar cookie recipe - worked at charm! Rolling the dough out to be precise for each ring is a challenge, but we had far less breakage than with the first recipe, AND it was delicious. We also went with buttercream icing because yum. Traditional Kransekake? No. But perfect for us.

I used this set for a dessert for a fancy dinner party with special guests. When I heard one of them required gluten-free and dairy-free food, I realized a traditional Norwegian Kransekake dessert was going to save the day! And, it did! My guests were so impressed, calling it a work of art! I loved how easy it was to prepare. I love these forms for getting the perfect shape and size. They worked perfectly and are easy to clean! Be sure to grease them well--however, I did not have any devastating trouble with any rings sticking--so, I'm VERY happy with these molds! I will definitely use them again! My guests even asked where to buy them, too!

Great product. Would have given 5 stars,but it unfortunately arrived damaged. Box was gouged and largest ring pan was crimped, which would have affected ring shape of dough. I would have returned, but needed to use right away. My husband was able to use pliers to adjust it enough to use. I’m just worried that spot will eventually rust since the nonstick surface was affected by the damage.

Easy to use and worked well for this novice baker. I didn’t have time to blanch and grind my own almonds so I used a different recipe than included. However I buttered each pan and put corn meal on it and no cookie got stuck. I also put the pans on a sheet pan with parchment paper for easy removal from the oven. A new family tradition!

I used a little pam just in case, but no semolina. I gently spun the cooled rings to release from pans like others suggested and there was absolutely no sticking. I used a (brand new) sausage extruder attachment on my Kitchenaid to pipe the rings, so they were super even when they baked and they did not stick to each other. I overcooked two rings, so I tried to quickly roll new rings by hand and redo, but those came out uneven and too puffy (and stuck together). If you roll your rings VERY even (about the size of a sharpie thick), or use some kind of dough extruder, you will make a perfect Kransekake on your first try like I did. The hardest part of making it was the 12 minutes ot took to clean the sausage extruder.

I may not have needed this as we bake kransekake once a year, but it works just fine. No rings got stuck. Easy recipe to follow, but made some adjustments.

I was very concerned that these would stick, but I brushed them with vegetable oil and dusted with almond flour and they popped right out. 100% will be using again!
