Bought this for chopping pecans to a good size for overnight oats. Also have used for some vegetables. Works really well. Only reasons I didn't give it 5 stars: - When I chop a bunch of pecans at a time, the small pieces and dust start collecting on the rubber cover and it messes with the seal. The bottom will sometimes pop off while I'm in the middle of chopping and make a mess. I just put a clean towel underneath so I can collect what flew out and clear the debrie messing with the cover. - The plunger gets stuck down sometimes, but not from clogging on food, it just sticks. Can be easily pulled back up. - If I didn't have a dishwasher, I would hate washing this by hand. - Sometimes misses some big pieces, but I'm ok with everything not being super uniform.

Do not buy. Purchased this item twice because it’s one of the only choppers I saw that would scrape the sides as you chopped. Both choppers have failed the exact same way… the part that makes the chopper blades spin becomes disconnected from the body so every time you push the chopper down the blades no longer turn. So basically you either get one cut several times or you have to manually spin the entire chopper as you’re chopping. The first unit I bought l considered a fluke. But now both have failed the exact same way. Both with less than a months use on them. Buyer beware.

I am used to a Pampered Chef chopper but thought I would try this one because it is Cuisinart and stainless steel. It's okay but there are some minor issues. First of all, keep in mind that this type of chopper isn't a food processor. It's great for chopping peanuts, an egg, a quarter of an onion, etc. You cannot put a whole onion in this (or the Pampered Chef chopper)! Something that size has to be cut up into smaller pieces first. This chopper chops just as well as the Pampered Chef chopper. Also, when cleaning the blades, I use a dishrag wrapped around a skewer to get up into the crevices. I have no problem getting the blades clean. The two issues I found are: 1) The chopping area is a bit shorter than I am used to. I can put a hardboiled egg in whole and it chops it just fine but there was a bit more room in the Pampered Chef chopper. 2) Little bits of food get up into the area above the blades and you can't get to them to get them out. The Pampered Chef chopper splits open giving full access to the inside of the case and it is easy to clean. If you don't put the Cuisinart chopper in the dishwasher, you will have to soak it for quite a while to ensure the inaccessible area is clear of food particles.

Buying this chopper was one of the best small investments I have made for time-saving in a long time. I like to make a curry dish which requires chopping up several vegetable types and until I got this chopper I was spending at least 30-45 minutes doing it the old fashion way. Now, however, I can get it all done in 15 minutes! It has helped a lot with other dishes but the Curry is extremely helpful. Using the Cuisinart Chopper turns chopping veggies into an exciting and efficient experience. It's like the vegetables don’t stand a chance! I own a restaurant. I use a variety of kitchen tools. Most are more trouble than they're worth and don't last. This Cuisinart chopper was a gamble but it's worked well, reliability, consistently, and is perfect for smaller jobs that dont demand a true food processor. It's also easy to clean and inexpensive. FYI, this review is after three years of nearly daily use.

The worst invention for kitchen ever! Couldn’t really cut the onion esp the slightly tougher layer. Then tried cutting the tomato, same couldn’t cut off the tomato skin! I have to remove all and hand chopping all. Then it was a fiasco to clean it. Onion got stuck in and couldn’t get it out until washing it and left all over in my sink! Such a waste. Throw it to the bin straight away.

Blades are not v sharp

Fairly useless chopper with a poor finish. The blades were too blunt to properly chops most veggies.

El aparato funciona muy bien, pica en trozos más y más pequeños a medida que sigues presionando. No esperes hacer una ensalada para 100 personas con este accesorio, para una familia de tres o hasta de cuatro te ayudará mucho. El único aspecto a mejorar es que no es tan fácil de limpiar, sin embargo con pequeño cepillo de dientes queda muy bien. La calidad de los materiales se ve buena, apenas llevo unos cuantos usos y cumple mis espectativas al 100%.
