Great power! Before buying a second unit I tested this item by seeing how fast it would boil water in an electric pot. The water boiled in 4 minutes and 9 seconds!

I got a Dyson Hair Dryer from China and bought this in order to use it in Canada. It works very well; I don't have to spend money to get another Dyson in Canada. Very happy

I used it to adapt a 220V Washer (UK plug with a fuse) to connect to a regular Canadian 15 amp receptacle and it worked great. I was a little nervous because the washer was rated for 1600 watts. I used a device to measure the wattage draw and ran different washer cycles - it didn’t go anywhere near 1600 watts. The highest was 1300 and that was only on a special cleaning cycle that uses an internal water heater.
