I’m not sure what I was expecting but it wasn’t this. As you can see from the photos, the kit is presented in a nice box, with almost everything required inside. The box states that the project is for 16+ years, which I’d say is about right. The difficulty level is 4/7 and is supposed to take 4-8 hours to complete. Personally, I think it’s going to be a labour of love and will probably take me considerably longer than that.Having removed a half sheet of metallic parts from the bag, I discovered that it was very difficult to replace since the metal kept bending. I’d definitely recommend leaving everything alone and studying the instructions before opening anything else. Given how flexible the metal is, you really don’t want to be handling it too much. I’m disappointed that no tools are included and I suppose I’ll have to buy the recommended ones, which makes this an expensive item. There’s no doubt that the finished project will look amazing if it looks like the photo on the box but I’m not entirely sure that it’s worth £49.99. Most of the parts can be mass produced. However, the quality of the written instructions, which are supported by diagrams, is excellent. Would I pay £49.99 for this? Probably not but I’m looking forward to making it.

More of a model kit than a puzzle regardless of what the box says. This is a high quality product, right from the packaging to the instructions and the metal sheets. It would make an excellent gift for anyone into making intricate models. The detail on the crown is amazing and the beads add that extra touch. Keep in mind this is not a children's kit and is aimed at ages 16+, and at level 4 difficulty with an estimated 6 hour build time is not for a beginner, some experience and skill is required to complete this kit. I have also looked at level 3 kits and it only had half the parts of the crown and an estimated build time of only 4 hours, so there is definitely a step up between level 3 and 4. There are lots of small parts, and like other metal kits looks to be fiddly to assemble, not one for the fat fingered. As with all of these kits tools are required, a pair of snips to remove the parts from the sheet will be needed at a minimum. The parts list is clear, the instructions are clear and easy to understand, and should provide ample challenge. If like me you are a bit older, then plan to do this in multiple sittings to give the eyes, hands, and back a break from all the close precision work required. Definitely one for those with patience who enjoy the quiet challenge. Could be done as a family activity, definitely would need adult guidance and assistance, and heaps of patience.

El resultado final es espectacular y el acabado del modelo es realmente muy bueno. Todas las piezas son metálicas y, una vez montado, queda como una pieza decorativa muy vistosa y de calidad. Eso sí, el montaje no es sencillo. Las piezas se unen mediante pestañitas muy pequeñas que hay que ir doblando una a una, y en algunos puntos cuesta bastante, sobre todo si no estás acostumbrado a este tipo de maquetas. Es imprescindible tener paciencia y tomárselo con calma; no es algo para montar deprisa. Aun así, el proceso resulta entretenido y satisfactorio si te gustan los retos y los trabajos minuciosos. Cuando lo terminas, la sensación de haberlo conseguido compensa el esfuerzo. Recomendado para personas a las que les guste montar maquetas detalladas y no les importe invertir tiempo y concentración.
