4 stars out of 5: would recommend to others, with caveats The idea behind this is excellent: an alternative to pressing garlic and spending five times as long cleaning, compared to just slicing with a sharp knife. Unfortunately, this still takes a while to clean, and you still need to take time removing the skin from the cloves. So in the end, I haven't been using more fresh garlic. However, this does make a useful alternative to a mortar & pestle. I've used it for chopping nuts finely, without a food processor. Less muss, less fuss. And the pieces are more uniform in size. It's also worked for spices. And, even for garlic, I can still use this to "pound" the sides of garlic cloves, to make it easier to remove the peel. In summary, if you *only* want crushed garlic, stick with a food processor or press. However, if you also want to mince other things, including nuts, this is a good choice.

Edit: changed review to 5 stars. I turn to this gadget frequently. I find it useful when you’re using for recipes that need 2-4 at a time. Best part is it’s easy clean up. Rinse under running water for a few seconds, a little twist or two with water and done. For mass garlic chopping, use something else. ———— I love garlic. So much so that I may or may not double up the garlic on every recipe. Since I use a lot of it, Im always looking for ways that reduce the time I spend on prepping them. Tried this gadget out a few months and these are the pros and cons for me, who uses a lot of garlic. Pros: It purées garlic in about 10 twists clockwise and counterclockwise. It’s quick and easy to clean. After I transfer the garlic out of the gadget I just run some water on it to rinse and lay it out on drying rack. Super easy clean up. I love this about it. It’s great for people who don’t like garlic chunks. Cons: garlic/ginger loses a lot of that garlic/ ginger liquid and seeps out the crack. Ginger lost a lot more liquid. It was harder to twist because of its hard stringy texture. When I tried to grind it down, I could visually see it squeezed out a lot of its liquids. I don’t like this idea because to me that means it’s losing its flavor. Only good for recipes with puréed garlic and since I pan fry a lot, I skip the gadget and use the classic method-Cutting board and knife. I can only pulverize 1-2 Garlic at a time. It’s best to have 3-4 pulverized to easily and cleanly scrape out the garlic. 1-2 garlic isn’t enough to come together in a nice clean scoop, some bits will be scattered in the gadget. Lastly, since I use a lot of garlic, it’s be more tedious for me to purée 3-4 at a time then scrape out and do the process again. Plus The cringe every time I lose the juices/flavor in the gadget. This is a great tool for someone who does not need a whole lot of garlic and doesn’t mind losing the juices. But if the recipe works better with chopped garlic or you just need a lot of garlic, consider a different gadget.

Easy to use. Easy to clean.

I like the concept of this, but if you don't have a fairly strong grip, this could take a lot of effort just to mince some garlic, even harder with ginger. It is much safer to use than a grater as you don't have to worry about scraping your fingers when you get toward the end. It's also very sturdy not flimsy plastic and fairly easy to clean. However, it doesn't take considerable effort. I would not recommend this for anyone with arthritis in their hands or tennis elbow, wrist issues, carpal tunnel, etc. Basically, if you have trouble twisting off lids on jars more often than not, I would look for something else. If you are pretty strong, rarely have issues opening lids or a vice like grip then you might want to try it out.

Works great! It’s my go to for garlic. It grinds/minces perfectly and the garlic oils are released so you really can get a way with pealing less garlic and you get more flavor. Very easy to use and clean up is easy.

Unser ca. 10 Jahre alter Garlic Twister verlor durch einen Sturz einen Zahn. Ich kaufte zuerst ein etwa 10 € kostendes Gerät, das ähnlich funktionierte und aussah. Allerdings verlor dieses nach wenigen Tagen einen Zahn, was dazu führte, dass meine Frau durch das abgebrochene Stück einen eigenen fast beschädigte... Der NextTrend Garlic Twister ist sehr solide, liegt gut in der Hand, Ingwer und Knoblauch lassen sich damit hervorragend zerkleinern. Falls dieser in 10 Jahren durch Sturz auch kaputt gehen sollte, würde ich wieder so einen kaufen!

値段は高めだけどすっごくいいです。 にんにくを刻むのが面倒すぎて嫌いでした。臭いも付くし、小さいし。 入れてネジネジすればあっという間に砕けてくれる！！ニンニクチューブは中国産ばかりで嫌だったけどこれでもう中国ニンニクチューブを買わずに済みました！！

Just what I was looking for. No mess or sticky fingers. You can grate to the desired size you need. Highly recommended

Very good for quick smooshing of garlic. I even use it with garlic cloves that I've frozen and it works very efficiently. Recommended for anyone who often uses fresh garlic in recipes.
