Also, since you won’t be able to use the capacitative touch feature of your headphones, the mechanical button on this and similar models will be ideal, should you be seeking ear covers specifically to block wind noise from your headphones while cycling, or engaging in other activities about 13 mph & up—sound quality is also balanced & clear, so they’re an excellent budget headphone. ( —> At the time of this writing, I haven’t yet tried the earbags while on a bike, so I don’t know if that would make a difference. ) [ ⚠️ CAUTION: If wearing earbuds, be careful when removing earbags, as the earbuds may get pulled out in the process. ] - Not super-thick, but will provide some insulation from the elements 🥶 - I have tiny, thin ears (roughly measures about 2.3” in length), and they stay securely over them. I tried the headbanger shake, and they didn’t shift at all. If you wiggle your ears or open your jaw, they *might* move out of place, depending on your anatomy, but the earbags also survived that test on me. If you need to scratch your sideburn or ear, you’ll probably dislodge your earbag, so practice putting these on before you head outside, in order to avoid accidentally dropping them. ** TO PUT THEM ON: Flip them back to set them on top of your ears (the wider side of the oval faces backwards), then rotate them forward to optimally “lock” them onto your ears & flip them back to normal. - If aiming for relative inconspicuousness, refer to attached pics (sorry about low-light, poor picture quality 🫤). I have light-black locks, and with the black earbags on under long hair, they’re pretty well-camouflaged. - Comes with a drawstring carrying pouch ——— These are my first pair of ear covers, so I can’t compare them to others, but selected this specific one after reading reviews for the other brands. If reviewers mentioned a certain brand being uncomfortable or cheaply-made, I passed on them. These Earbags succeeded at every test I put them through, so if your criteria & sensibilities mirror mine, then I recommend this product to you. This review is based on use during cold but not frigid weather. What I like about this product: 1) Comfort and ease of use. The ear bags slip on quickly and easily. It's important to order the correct size. Use the sizing chart and measure your ears to find the correct size. I am an adult female and ordered the medium. Mine fit true to size. If you wear "dangly" ear rings, remove the ear rings before putting on the ear bags. No need to remove smaller style (stud) ear rings because your entire ear lobe fits up into the bag. The bags are shaped like your ear so it's important to put the correct bag onto each ear. Simply cup the bag over the top of the ear, pull straight down, and if needed, tuck your ear lobe up into the interior of the ear bag. I then firmly cup the ear bag in my fingers, press it towards my head, and then wiggle it back and forth to ensure that it fits securely. I have worn the ear bags in stiff winds and have had had no problem with them falling off. 2) Portable, compact, low profile. The ear bags are small and easily stored in their bright red pouch when not in use. With such a low profile, the pouch easily fits into the pocket of your pants, your coat, a waist bag, or small handbag. The red bag is easy to find and easy to store. These low profile ear bags eliminate the bulky strap around your head or neck that would come with ear muffs. 3) Gender neutral. I have short hair and my ears are quite sensitive to cold air. The ear bags have worked great in our milder North Carolina winters. They are warm but I'm not sure if they would be sufficient for extremely cold weather for an extended period of time. The ear bags are perfect for moderately cold weather but if I were in frigid weather for an extended time, I think I would use a full ear muff or hat & scarf. The ear bags have such a low profile that you could also use them under ear muffs. Additionally, I think I would use muffs rather than the ear bags if I were engaged in an action sport such as skiing. The ear bags are perfect for walks, running, light exercise or when you want an ear covering but you don't want to use a large ear muff. I think of them like I think of my winter coats - Lighter weight coats when the temperature is cold and a much more substantial coat when the temperature is frigid and I am planning to be outside for an extended period of time.

I am amending this review, as I just swapped for size Small and they work well. I originally set the stars to only 2, but am upgrading to 4. I do believe they need to adjust their sizing standards, as Medium is far too big for ears that measure 2.5" and Small works very well (I'd give 5 stars if not for the sizing issue). Snug, but comfortable. I do not feel like the Small will pop off if I flinch or sneeze like I did with the Mediums, nor are they scrunching my ears or pinching them in any way. I can even wear my glasses with them, so that's an added plus! And, yes, I have checked and rechecked my ears' measurements. It's not me, my ears measure the same no matter what. It's their sizing. My original review of the mediums: I measured my ears before ordering and I have re-measured several times since these arrived (just to be sure). They are both close to 2.5" (give or take 1/16th of an inch, or less) and well within the size description for mediums. The opening to insert the ears is around 2" (2&1/16), so in theory should be fine. The problem is that once you pop your ear in there, situate it so that the top is all nice-n-cozy, and the mechanism can grab onto your upper ear when you click it closed... well, now that bottom edge of the opening is hanging at around 2.5", so the lower part of the earlobe is just not well tucked in - if tucked in at all. If I try and situate the "bags" higher, so more of the lower lobe is actually inside, then the grabbing mechanism doesn't catch anything at all, and they just pop right off. I would have liked to have exchanged for the small size, but that wasn't an option, nor was reaching out to the company (through Amazon). I had to do a full return and then I will have to repurchase (and hope the size and colour I want are in stock) at a later time.

I was a little skeptical of how I would actually like these. My ears are sensitive to the cold and wind and had always used the headband type of ear warmers because the behind the ear ones would never stay on, despite multiple brands and styles. I wanted something that stay put while just walking outside as well as being able to use them hiking and looking up and down and rotating my head without they budging. I have only worn them with walking but so far, I'm sold and don't anticipate any issues while hiking as they are fit on snugly. These have worked great! They don't budge once they're on. They are a little odd the first time you wear them because it almost feels like it pulls your ears out (it doesn't look like it, it just slightly felt this way). It took a little time (maybe a minute or two and a YouTube video) with a mirror to figure out how to put them on the first time but didn't take any time to figure it out and now feel extremely comfortable. The plastic piece flips concave and convex to unsnap and snap into place and are easy to adjust once on by just twisting them clockwise or counterclockwise if needed. I ordered them according to the ruler guide they had and purchased a medium and they are the perfect fit. They come with a carrying bag, which is nice to keep them together when not in use. They are two separate pieces (one for each ear) and the only thing I would suggest to make them even better would be to have a small string attaching the two of them, because I have this fear of losing one of them, especially if I'm out and about and take them off , thought I may just sew something connecting them.

These are very expensive for what they are. I also found that they didn't fit well in in either size that I tried. They would not stay on my ears, possibly because my ears don't lay very flat, but just be aware

I was looking for something to replace my 180's which really hurt my ears by the end of the first hour of wearing and found these. Decided to give them a try, the price isn't bad. I am very happy with them and plan on getting another pair. They are easy for me to put on, they fit easily in my coat pocket, they come in a pouch for easy storage and keeping them together so it's harder to lose one, I can hear better with them than the 180's, and I can wear earrings with them. I've worn both dangles and post earrings with no problems. The ear bags also stay on while running. When the wind is blowing, they sometimes aren't quite warm enough but if it were a persistent problem for me, I would cut a piece of flannel to fit inside the ear bag which would be very easy to do and probably be very effective. I've had many days of zero degree F. weather and as long as the wind wasn't blowing, they've been fine. Another thing I love about these bags are they really aren't noticeable under my just below the ear length hair. And I don't have "big" hair. They are light weight, thin (not bulky), and easy to store in coat pocket when not in use so I don't have to locate them or remember to take them with me whenever I go out. I still haven't had them on for more than 90 minutes, but for that period of time they have not been uncomfortable. I'm very happy I gave them a try, I can't do hats and needed something to keep my ears warm. Why the ear bags may work better for me than some probably depends on ear shape, size, etc. If your ears are very tight to your head, you may have more difficulty keeping them on or comfortable or if you don't have much ear that isn't attached to your head. I don't have large ears but they aren't small either. They don't stick out, at least I've never been called Dumbo, and my hair does cover my ears without them showing through. I do have lobes, not excessive, but I've noticed some people barely have lobes at all. These folks may have trouble keeping these on. The times I've worn earrings with the bags, sometimes I've tucked my dangles into the bags and other times just let them hang. I don't wear bulky, chunky, or large post or dangle earrings.

Found these years ago and glad I did! I don't wear hats (sort-of curly hair, more wavy than curly, hats smoosh hair to un-fixable status, so no hats for me if I want to look 1/2 decent when I take the hat off.... oh how I wish I had straight hair! Ear bags to the rescue! Keeps the chilling wind out of my ears, I stay warm, and the bonus: I don't get sick from the cold blowing in my ears!. One hint: I've found I need to ensure I have the ear bags 'seated' correctly around my entire ear or they fall off with the slightest 'brush', e.g., putting on sunglasses or glasses. When they're put on correctly, they stay put, keep me warm, and no hat or ear muff band squishing my hair! Also, don't give up if you think they don't work - they DO, beautifully, but it may be you need a smaller or larger ear bag, and once you get the 'swivel on' method down pat, you're good to go (start at the top of the ear and start angling the ear bag down and around ear lobe) You can give it a little tug to check if firmly affixed on your ear - if it is, it will NOT immediately come off your ear - if it isn't, it'll come off in nothing flat. One more thing: I've tried different brands and Sprigs is by far the best, IMO.

Overall a good set of earmuffs. I use them on morning walks and for that purpose they're fine. My go to brand is women's 180 degrees behind the neck versions I've worn for several years, so any comparison is to those. These are lightweight, so less cumbersome with a flatter profile which is nice, less obvious that you're wearing muffs. I don't know how they would be for a runner vs walking as they're not as secure as the other type, but I did not have any issue keeping them on during a brisk walk. They don't offer as much cold/wind protection as I'm used to. I had to cut an extra piece of material to place inside in order to give me what I consider a moderate amount of protection for spring wind and morning chill. They don't need to be lined with fur, but more layers than what is provided is necessary for me. For winter or high wind activities, they wouldn't offer enough protection. There could be issues wearing glasses/sunglasses since these stay on by cupping the area all around the ear. It is nice that they come with a little drawstring pouch in order to keep them together and they also take up very little space in a purse or backpack. They are easy to put on once you get the hang of it. I will keep this set as an extra backup pair when something light is needed, but they won't replace my go to 180Degrees muffs.

I can’t get wind in my ears , even in the summer. The ear cover’s work well for me. In the summer I use the lighter colour.

Love these. I bought some others in a fit of desperation because I get vicious earaches in windy conditions. They never stayed on. They'd unclip all on their own, most annoying. These work wonderfully, staying nice and firmly on my ears without pinching.
