Good quality, good controller replacement for sega MD 2 console

Strange shape compared to the original but does exactly what it's designed to do. Good quality product.

Great controller, feels good in your hands. Buttons and D-pad all very responsive. But the best bit is the 3m lead. It means rather than cross legged in front of the tv, like a child, you can sit comfortably on the sofa, like a man!

Absolute rubbish quality. Stopped working after less than 2 months of light use.And Amazons usual crap customer service sends me to the US website and the item isn’t even available anymore, Don’t be fooled by the Sega branding these are cheap rubbish with a sega logo.

This is a great alternative to vintage pads. To my hands the feel is pretty much exactly right, and there's no detectable lag or missed presses that I have come across. The cable is good and long too. Deducting one star because the connector has a bit of a "death grip" on the Megadrive's controller ports (tested on UK PAL Megadrive 2 and JP NTSC Megadrive 1), and so care and a little patience is required when connecting or disconnecting.

After reading the problematic reviews, I was somewhat hesitant, but took the plunge on one with the intention to return if problems arose. A thought now far from the forefront of my mind.I immediately booted up Streets of Rage II upon the controllers arrival (a game with constant diagonal and U,D,L,R movement), and played through the entire thing without issue... Until I died at least.The controller was quite literally the best experience I've had with my MegaDrive in terms of functional controls in so many years, because despite owning 7 controllers of varying types, ALL have degraded heavily over the years and left this attempt at a reproduction as a definite clear winner going forward.And its not that its simply in better condition than 20 year old controllers that have suffered years of abuse! I did not, at any point think, I wish this controller was different. No issues were encountered, I was simply free to play my game without being annoyed by how decrepit my controls were.2 days later, I bought a 2nd one. Again, no issues.Does it FEEL exactly like an original controller? I don't know for sure, but despite being on the system my whole life, I don't know how you could even gauge... I don't believe MegaDrive controllers were ever that great, they were always kind of squishy and just a bit off to me, because even 25 years ago at my start with the system, I imagine they were already somewhat degraded.If these controllers last at least a good handful of years, its money well spent as far as I am concerned. And I'll probably buy more.

Nice packaging. Controller is as described. Great build Quality. The plastic used is sturdy and very similar to the original. Buttons feel solid and not loose. Over all a great controller. Ive had no real issues with directional input and have noticed no lag. Would recommend.

This pad works perfectly with fighting games that are designed for 6 button input. However it seems less ideal for some games, e.g. Batman, where the C button doesn't seem to register different length of button presses, meaning you can't control the height of jumps.It's great to have a modern replacement for the 6 button pad but you may need to have an original 3 button pad on stand by for some games.
