Small Device That Provides Accurate GPS Information
I live in the Northeast where we have had a cold and snowy winter. Not golf weather so I had to take a little trip to Florida to review this golf GPS. It is a small minimal device, about the size of a key fob that clips to the bill of your cap or belt. I did not find a magnet to attach the device. There are two devices in the package so a playing partner can also use the gps with you. To use the devices you will have to download and install an app on your phone. Setting up the device is easy. Download the app, sign in and you connect the app to the device which was a quick and easy process. To use it on the course you choose your course in the app. I had no problems finding the courses I played but they were not newer courses. At the tee box and before each shot you push the button on the device and you’ll hear the yardage on your phone so you’ll need your phone nearby or in your pocket. I used one earbud so I could hear the yardage and green information without disturbing my playing partners. As for accuracy, I checked the yardages against the course’s cart GPS and the yardage matched perfectly every time. The battery life seemed very good. I used the GPS for 4 rounds with a long lunch break between the nines during one round and it was still going strong. Each GPS takes an inexpensive and lightweight 2032 coin size battery so it is easy to carry spares if needed as I did just in case. The battery was still working after 4 rounds. The documentation could be better but the basic instructions are pretty easy to follow. As long as you have a phone and your course isn’t super new the golf GPS is an easy to use and carry device that will provide accurate GPS data during your round.

Good Concept and Easy to Use, but App Limits the Experience
I really like the concept of this GPS range finder, especially the voice output feature and the fact that it comes as a two-pack so it can be shared or kept as a backup. It’s small, lightweight, and easy to carry, which makes it convenient to use during a round without getting in the way. Battery life is solid and should last through multiple rounds, and the setup process is fairly simple once you download the app. Accuracy seems reasonably good for a GPS-based device, generally within a few yards, which is what you would expect. The voice feature is a nice touch since it lets you get distances without constantly checking a screen. That said, the overall experience is very dependent on the app, and that’s where it falls a bit short. If you already use another golf app, this one doesn’t integrate well and can feel redundant. The app itself is pretty basic and missing some courses, which limits its usefulness depending on your area. Another thing to note is that the distance readouts come from your phone rather than the device itself, so you’ll need to have your phone nearby to use it effectively. The build also doesn’t feel the most durable, so it may not hold up well to drops or rough handling. Overall, it’s a creative and budget-friendly option that gets the job done for casual use, but it could benefit from improvements in the app and overall user experience.

An easy and accurate way to know your distance to the hole!
I've tried a lot of distance finder programs for my iPhone and this Range Finder is worth every penny! I usually have a small speaker attached to my golf cart while golfing and now I can use this button and my iPhone to get my distances with the push of a button. I also like that it'll tell you how far you shot went and it will also tell you what hazards are around the greens. When I was out on the course I compared the distances to other apps that I have and they are all spot on. The button has a nice quality feel and you can clip it to your belt or hat. Connecting these devices was easy and simple. The app is pretty good. You can get the satellite view of the hole, where you are in relation to the green and all the hazards around. Plus...you get a 2nd one for a friend!

Pair of wearable golf GPS range finders
This Dprofy golf GPS range finder kit includes two tiny wearable GPS devices that pair with the Dprofy app to give real‑time distances to the center of the green and nearby hazards, then read them out loud via voice so you can keep your phone in your pocket. Each device has dual buttons that can announce the current hole information and green distance, or warn of hazards within about 30 yards of the green, and the app runs in the background with the screen off while still feeding live yardages. Because you get two synced units in the kit, two golfers can use them at the same time, sharing the same course data and score‑/shot‑tracking features in the app, which makes it appealing for regular playing partners who want hands‑free distances without buying two separate GPS watches.

Smart, Convenient, and Great for Casual Play
The Dprofy Golf GPS Range Finder is a really solid option, especially if you’re looking for something a little different from traditional rangefinders. The fact that it comes with two devices is a big plus—being able to share with a playing partner or keep one as a backup is a nice touch that you don’t usually get at this price point. The voice output feature is surprisingly useful. Getting quick distance info without having to constantly check a screen helps keep your focus on the game, and when paired with the app, it provides clear course and hole details that are easy to follow. According to the product details, it can deliver distance accuracy within about a yard and track stats through the app, which adds some extra value beyond just basic distance readings. () Setup is pretty straightforward, and once connected, it runs smoothly in the background without needing constant interaction. It’s lightweight and easy to carry, so it doesn’t get in the way during a round. Overall, it’s a convenient, tech-friendly GPS solution that’s especially great for casual golfers or anyone who prefers audio guidance over constantly checking a device. A strong 4 out of 5 for innovation, ease of use, and the added bonus of sharing functionality.

Could be better
Ok, this one is a bit of a let down. Does it give you distance, yes, but it’s read out on your phone. The way it works is you download an app, you use that app at the golf course then when you want to get your distance, you click the button on the included garage door opener style button and it’s told to you by your phone. I just use an app and it reads out the distance on my watch. It works just fine and was easy enough to use, battery life is good and it’s as accurate as it can be with using an app, not exactly the most accurate thing in the world. Magnet was strong and sounds loud enough if you’re standing next to your cart. Cart path only you’d have to have the phone with you.

Nice idea but needs work
I play golf once a week with some friends, usually the same golf course. Currently, I use a GPS app on my phone to find the distance to the hole. It works great and seems accurate, but picking up the phone, opening the app, getting a reading, then putting the phone back down takes time and distracts from my concentration. So, when I saw this GPS Range Finder with the capability of providing hole distance with voice output, with my phone stowed away, it stirred my attention. I bought it and received the package which included a user manual and 2 press button transmitters. The 1st step was to download the app, Dprofy (odd name) from the Google Play store. Next, I opened the app and paired the devices with my phone. No problem with this step. The 2 devices are intended for yourself and a golf partner. For the initial review, I decided to use just 1 device for myself and not get my fellow golfers involved. I wanted to see 1. How the app works as a GPS tracker and 2. How well the voice output works. Prior to playing a round at our normal course, I opened the app and tapped Start of the bottom of the screen. Then, I tapped “Nearby Courses” and a list of courses in the area came up, sorted by kilometers from my current location. I would have thought it would have shown miles, since I selected yards over meters in the Settings section. Regardless, I scrolled down to find the course, but it wasn’t listed. Surprised and disappointed, I tapped the Add Course button in the top right and completed a form to inform the developers that the course needed to be added to the app. I waited about 2 weeks, and the course data finally showed. Now, I was ready to put the Dprofy GPS Range Finder to the test. At hole #1 off the tee, I opened both the Dprofy app and my current GPS app to compare distances. My current app gave me the correct distance, matching up closely with the scorecard. The Dprofy app gave me the incorrect distance by about 100 yards. I checked the other holes and none of them matched up with the scorecard. The data was incorrect. I was very disappointed and reported incorrect data to the developers. Although discouraged, I wanted to give it a fair shake. So, I went to a Par 3 course which was listed in the app. At hole #1, I opened the app and the 110 yd distance to the pin appeared close. I pressed the button on the transmitter and got a voice response from my phone telling me this distance. So, far so good. I put my phone in my golf bag and placed the transmitter in my pant pocket. I teed off and my shot went about 90 yds. I went to my ball, pressed the button and the voice response told me my shot was 90 yds and 20 yds to the pin. Not bad! I did this for 9 holes, and it worked fairly well, except 1 hole had an incorrect Par value. It was listed as a Par 5, but in fact it was Par 4. The distance seemed ok. The other problem I noticed was that the GPS wouldn’t work if you hit your ball outside of the fairway. I hit one in the other fairway, and the app wouldn’t recognize the distance from that point. Conversely, my current GPS app gives me distance regardless of where I hit the ball. The Dprofy GPS Range Finder with Voice Response is a good concept, but it’s rough and needs work. To use the information confidently, the course data must be up-to-date and accurate. Also, the app needs to improve its capability and functionality to be useful.

GPS Range Finder With Limits
This GPS range finder is a decent device that has a few drawbacks. The device is small and lightweight so won't interfere with your golf game. It has a long battery life that will easily get you through many rounds before it needs to be recharged. I tested the yardage accuracy using permanent markers on the course and found it to be accurate, within a few yard. After downloading the app, the device easily connects and is ready for use. The device doesn't seem the most durable and I fear that one drop on the cart path might break it or crack it open. Mine does not have a magnet (as referenced in the post) but it does have a strong clip that can be attached to your belt or hat. The app itself is also pretty barebones with no polish. It also is missing a few popular courses in my area that aren't new and should definitely be available. The biggest issue is that the yardage readouts come from your phone, not the device. If you aren't close to your cart, you'll have to carry your phone with you. Overall, this is an inexpensive GPS range finder that will get the job done, as long as you plan ahead.
