Pleased with this Grundfos Pump
Installed this pump last July during boiler shutdown. Throughout this winter so far, after several severe cold weather spells, this pump has performed flawlessly. It is very quiet---I only hear water moving in the pipes if I listen carefully!! This pump is Silent with a capital S! We had a conventional pump/assembly and electric motor set-up for 20+ years and those were noisy (at the boiler and throughout the system). Now, all I hear (At the boiler) is a click from the thermostat relay and the burners lighting in the boiler. Wish I knew of these pumps some time ago. Installation was less a headache than I expected. The best part = no more oiling. I used to oil the motor and the bearing assembly in the old setup and spent many moments trying to second guess myself on whether I got it right. I left the old set-up on a shelf in the garage in case I needed it. Now it looks like I can get rid of the old parts. I kept the check valve in the pump when installing and noted the water must stay stationary when the boiler is off because the temp of the pipes at the boiler remain hot. This tiny pump has more than satisfied the heating needs of our home under all conditions thus far (January 16, 2014).

Works well
The first one we ordered was rusted inside and noticed that the inside of the box had been wet and the instructions were also water damaged. We received a new replacement without any issue

Pump Thumbs Up
I replaced an existing Grundfos pump that went kaputt after 13 years. All the input from community regarding my questions was very helpful. The flange shape was slightly different but the O ring fit both openings that were already plumbed in. I tightened the bolts and no leaks thank goodness The old pump was single speed , the new one 3 speed. I cut the difference and set it to medium. I was able to use the existing power cord and connected easily to the pump’s electrical configuration. Quiet and most importantly instant hot water. I ordered the flange kit, but didn’t need it since It came with new O rings and was able to use the same housing and bolts that were there already. If I even get half the life I got from the last one, I will be very satisfied because the price is right.

7 years in, going strong
Quiet and reliable. Wish it had an integrated bleed valve (maybe they do now, they didn't in 2016). I'd recommend installing a ball valve with bleeder on the inlet side (bleeder facing away from the pump) if using for recirculation, bleeding the system is critical for operation, and has to be done every time my plumbing is drained. Ymmv.

Buyer Beware
So, here's my story. I did purchase one of these products in March of 2012 through Amazon.com LLC, because it was the lowest price AND did qualify for free shipping. By June of 2012, though, the circulator had stopped circulating. When I contacted Amazon, I was informed that the product could not be returned or exchanged, because too many days had elapsed. Amazon said to contact Grundfos regarding any warranty.I did just that and was told (this is pasted from them) "I'm afraid that Grundfos does not permit the online sale of our pumps so no authorized distributors would be selling them online, that we are aware of. If you reply to the seller and ask them to submit a warranty request we might get lucky, however. If it is indeed one of our distributors selling online, all warranties would have to go through them. The pump you are talking about has a 36 month warranty if sold through an authorized distributor."In response, I sent Grundfos the link to Amazon, which lists six online sellers. And I told them that I would write this review. Done. Buyer beware.

It works well
I bought this cause my older unit the capacitor went bad. It cost of replacement was the cost of a newer unit.the newer unit has three speeds and a check valve that is removable. I left mine in.
