Jack's Professional 20-20-20 General Purpose Water-Soluble Fertilizer with Micronutrients for Heavy Feeding Plants in Continuous Liquid Feed Programs, 25lbs

I've been using Jack's Professional aka Jack's Classic All Purpose 20-20-20 for many years. You can water virtually all of your garden with this fertilizer! I use it for both outdoor & indoor plants. I've even used it to revive part of my yard that was dying! It can also be used in both soil & soilless mediums. If you are unsure on how much you should use 1/2 of recommended dose is a good start. If your plants start to claw you are feeding them too much. If they start to fade in color you can probably feed them a little more. You can also use this as a foliage spray (use about .25 normal dose). If your plants are turning yellow or fading in color this will brighten them back up again! It's a shame this is not sold anywhere where I live. Here's a little info from J.R. Peters site that you might find useful: Jack's All Purpose 20-20-20 Just as the name suggests, Jack's All Purpose 20-20-20 is a balanced formula applicable to a variety of growing material. Its 1:1:1 nutrient ratio makes it good for almost any stage of plant growth. The design of the formula uses nutrients that provide strength to the plant, as well as, lush green growth. It can be used as a constant liquid feed or periodic feed, alternating with water or rain to provide the plant with a boost of balanced nutrition. Preferably, it should be used on soil-based media, rather than on soilless media, primarily during warmer months, indoors or in warm-climate regions. These environments allow the roots to take up the nitrogen sources most effectively. Long-term use of high Phosphorus formulas can lead to plant stretch in some plant varieties. Therefore, it is recommended when using this formula over long periods (greater than 3-4 months) of plant growth, alternate with a lower Phosphorous source such as rainwater, calcium nitrate or other lower phosphorus fertilizers. Application of this fertilizer can be used as a root drench or foliar spray. This stuff is super expensive locally for just small amounts. I came across this bag and it will last for many seasons. The plants love it and it seems to go a long way. A quality balanced fertilizer at a price I haven't been able to beat anywhere locally. I had a few plants that were struggling. Here in Florida with the heat and sometimes constant rain, the plants get pretty beat up. The sun beats them up, then nonstop rain rinses the nutrients away. Just a little of some jacks sprayed around the plants and they perk right back up and look nice and healthy. Glad I got the big bag. I plan on growing a ton of plants in the garden this year.

I absolutely love jacks general purpose fertilizer! I've been using it now for about 3 months and its really made a difference in my garden! Super water soluble, very easy to mix.And the results speak for themselves!

We were greenhouse growers to nearly 50 years and we used Jacks liquid fertilizer exclusively. We purchased it in 25 lb bags 20 at a time in all different formulations with 20-20-20 used the most.

I have grown almost all of our veggies and herbs indoors for about 15 years. In that time, I have tried quite a few different fertilizers. In the last couple of months, I have been using this fertilizers on my veggie greens, and have had excellent results. The balanced NKP of this fertilizer helps growth of the plants as well as providing support for the roots. It should be noted that this professional version of all purpose fertilizer contains more nutrients than the classic version. The balance of 20% each for nitrogen, phosphorus, and potash equates to a balance of 1;1;1. Potash supplies potassium that is more readily absorbed by plants than elemental potassium. The direction on the bag state the following amount to use for 1 gallon of water. "For small volume mixing Dissolve the following amounts in 1 gallon of water. So, I looked up what this meant and found what this actually means in practice. When fertilizer companies give a shorthand like 1 tsp = 250 ppm, they’re telling you: 1) How strong the nutrient solution will be when mixed at that rate 2) How much fertilizer to add per gallon to hit a target feeding strength 3) How concentrated the nutrients are in that specific product For water‑soluble fertilizers (like Jack’s 20‑20‑20), ppm is a way to measure nutrient intensity. Many growers target: 100–150 ppm for seedlings or sensitive plants 200–300 ppm for established actively growing plants 300+ ppm only for heavy feeders in hydroponics or commercial setups So, if the label or a feeding chart says, “1 tsp = 250 ppm,” it means: Using 1 teaspoon per gallon gives you a medium‑strength feeding solution. For my plants, I have been using 1 tsp. per gallon of water for every watering. This amount can vary for seedlings or heavy feeders, but this has been working for my plants. This fertilizer is easy to use and dissolves instantly. I have had excellent results using this fertilizer, and it has increased the longevity, productivity, and growth of my kale, collards, Swiss chard, and other veggie green plants. Many of my plants live well over 5 years growing them indoors. Previous to using this fertilizer, I was using a known and excellent liquid fertilizer that was the same cost for 1 gallon that lasted me for only one month. This 25 lb. bag will last me at least 6 months if not more and it contains more of the essential nutrients and micronutrients than the fertilizer I was paying much more for. In addition, I was buying supplemental nutrients for my plants to make up for the lack of nutrients in the fertilizer I had been using, and these nutrients are included in this fertilizer. I also grow a few citrus trees indoors and had been buying fertilizers specifically for citrus trees. This fertilizer contains all of the required nutrients for citrus trees, so I no longer have to buy special fertilizers for them at a premium price. Considering the results I am seeing in my plants and the huge reduction of cost, I will continue to use this fertilizer and would recommend it for use indoors or outdoors.
