I was terrified of this, now I donate them to shelters
First let me say, I don’t leave Amazon reviews. I’m one of those crappy people that relies on them but never writes them. It felt important for me to leave this review. I was terrified to use the menstrual cup. I’ve been an avid tampon user for over a decade. The stories and reviews of it getting stuck were an actual nightmare of mine. I’ve had reproductive struggles and was frankly afraid it would happen to me more than anyone. I was also afraid it would leak or I would drop it when it was full…just…gross. A few months ago one of my girlfriends really encouraged me to try it. She said it changed her life. I decided to try it because tampons had been my only way of life for so long. At first I couldn’t get the thing in. I thought it was a sign. Then I figured out the right fold for me, got it in, but didn’t push it high enough. It’s like I was 15 again learning how to use a tampon. Pro tip, just push it up there. I NEVER struggled to take it out (and I have nails). Once I got the putting in part right, this really did change my life. I don’t feel it, it’s so secure, I’ve NEVER had a leak, and taking it out is easier than you think (I promise). I change my twice a day, that’s it. I have a really heavy flow, I use a size Small, and twice a day is all I spend on my cycle now. As someone that’s in back to back meetings all day and hits the gym and does a million other things, that’s a game changer. It’s also not nearly as smelly as tampons, just saying. It’s so much cleaner, cheaper, easier. I’m sad it took me this long to use. Here’s what is important to me to share. I come from a poor immigrant family. There were times I couldn’t afford tampons or pads…for years. Now, I have an incredible career and make great money, but the trauma of not having money for tampons sticks with me. If I had this cup then, life would have been easier. Because of that, I donate a cup (and cup wash) a month to a local shelter to help women have this much security. I’m not telling you this as a pat on the back, I’m telling you this to show you that I think it’s so great I donate it to women monthly…women like me who just needed something to be easy and work. I know it sounds silly how impactful this can be, but it’s the truth. I hope you’ll give this a try, and maybe donate a couple to women that need something this efficient, cost effective, and helpful…at least until we can make these products free. Well done, Lena cup.

Not soft
I've used menstrual cups for a decade and love them. Originally I switched from the diva to a softer cup because I could feel the diva cup when I wore it. Last month I had to replace my more flexible cup and decided to try Lena. The color is perfect and the reviews said its soft. I tried wearing it this month but the cup is very firm. It's not flexible like my last one and I had leakage the entire time. I double and triple checked the suction, but it kept leaking. Even though I got the small size, this cup is larger than my last so I wonder if that's the problem? Also, with my old cup I could pinch the bottom to help me remove it, but this cup is too rigid for that. I have to soley reley on pulling the tail, which is bound to break one day. If you're looking for a softer cup unfortunately this didn't work for me.

Great at first
This was the first menstrual cup I bought when I decided I wanted to stop spending so much money on tampons/pads and creating so much waste. I got the hang of how to use it very quickly which was great, and I instantly became a supporter of anyone and everyone switching over to cups if they can. I had this cup for about 2 years before I just couldn't use it anymore. They say they're supposed to last for up to five, but a couple of months ago, the pull tab started ripping off and I just knew that if I kept pushing it any longer, it was going to come off completely and I was going to have a very miserable time trying to get the rest of it out. The suction is almost too strong, and I think that was why it started ripping so quickly - I had to stretch the pull tab to its furthest extent to get it out every time. Also, The pull tab is way longer than it needs to be and I was always struggling to get it in far enough that I couldn't feel the tab. I thought that this was just the tradeoff of using a cup, but I have since gotten a different brand (JUNE) that has a pull tab that is shaped like a little ball and is much shorter/more securely attached and it has been a dream. Now, I really don't even notice I have one in anymore. Further, I have a very heavy flow and I would start overflowing from this cup after just a couple of hours in the first few days of my period, and with my new cup, I have yet to spill over. Overall, the Lena cup was great to transition out of tampons/pads, but there are definitely better options out there.

Gray is great
I'm 37, haven't been pregnant, 5'6" 125lbs, am quite active, have pretty light flows. I used this frequently while I had an IUD for spotting. I had it removed and have been relying on cups (and now discs) for a while. I've never had any leaking and the small size fits perfectly. I can't feel it except upon removing and that's only when breaking the seal. At $25+, this is on the pricier side, one of my other cups in rotation is $12. That said, I really like the gray color as it doesn't show stains. Just be sure to keep this clean with proper sanitation.

Wanted to love, but might keep looking…
I wanted to love this product so badly… I loved the packaging and the fact that it feels like there’s life behind this company. I bought this as a replacement for my Keeper/Mooncup, which I had been using for years. My reasons for looking to change cup brands was simply cost, age of the existing cup, and the fact that the Keeper/Mooncup brand now feels like a shell company, which doesn’t actually function anymore [the Keeper website and customer service is now non-existent, and after waiting four weeks for the Keeper replacement cup I ordered but never received, I canceled the payment, and moved on to this brand]. I went into using this new cup knowing that, even though I consider myself to be an experienced cup user [been using a cup for at least 9 years], I know that each cup is different, and it might take a few days to get used to a new cup’s shape and suction. So I was excited to use it during my last period. However… this cup has *way* too strong a suction for my body - like, whoa! I know what I’m doing, but struggled so hard and long to get it out, I thought “well, this thing is now just a part of me”. I found it to be painful to remove, and also fiddly to insert - I’m used to the Keeper which has a definitive “opening up - pop” sensation - you can tell that it’s fully open and in the right place, without being painful. I’m wondering if this cup is just too wide for my body, as it never felt like it was fully open. I didn’t experience leaking, but I had to really get my finger up there to make sure the mouth was fully open, which was equally painful because the cup was already suctioned so strongly. I was so generally uncomfortable with removal and insertion that it left me not wanting to give it another go… Sadly, my search for my next cup continues.
