I purchased a Toro Recycler about 4 months ago. It is the latest model with their Atomic Mulching blade. Have been very disappointed from the start with its mulching and cut quality. For a lawnmower manufacturer that has been around for as long as they have, and a model they call the Recycler, I expected a lot more. The mulching was just average at best. Couldn't handle more than the top 1/3rd or it would quickly clog up and almost stall the engine. Cut quality was poor too, with the edges of each row higher than the center, not a clean cut. So I thought I would try a different blade and see how it compares... So I settled on this MaxPower model. It looks very much like a Gator. I liked the look of it, and figured by its design it should cut and mulch well. First thing I noticed when I removed Toro's original Atomic and compared it with this side by side, was how much better this one is designed. The Toro blade is concave shape, where the cutting edges curve down with only the tips at the lowest point. Not going to get a clean cut with that design! The cutting edges of the MaxPower is parallel to the ground so gives a clean and neat cut. The build quality is better too. Is a lot more solid, weighs 850 gms as apposed to the original Atomic which was 800 gms. I have cut my lawns several times now with this MaxPower blade and it is absolutely fantastic! Does a FAR better job than Toro's original. It can easily mulch grass down to half its height without clumping or bogging down. Even on sections of my lawn that are very thick, it has no problem at all. The lawn is cut even and looks fantastic when finished. It is exactly what you would expect. For anyone that is looking for a replacement blade for their Toro Recycler, I would highly recommend this one. It is a far superior blade from the original Atomic, and is great value for money at this price.

This is an awesome replacement for a toro recycler blade. We have a heavy clover lawn inteneded to mulch and improve organic content of the dirt our builder left us with. Prior mulching blades were ineffective requiring bagging. First use and a great cut 100% mulched with no deck buildup or stalling - main issues with the OEM blades. Very happy with the quality and delivery on the manufacturer’s commitment.

This is a great blade. It cuts and mulches well and has great vacuum. Some other reviews mentioned the paint on the blade edge but that wears off the cutting edge about halfway through the first job, so it isn't an issue. I used it straight out of the box.

Replaced my blade. This rated high. Here are my thoughts: I agree to give it a quick sharpening to remove paint layer. Check balance also if you can. Make sure to measure it. And give it a few turns by hand when attached. Mine was just nicking the inside deck. So, I took that paint off also on both ends to keep balanced. Center hole matched well. It is heavier so you may want to adjust throttle a tad. I did. It’s easy to do. Results: cuts well and mulched decent. If you want great make sure to clean and scrape the grass crud off under the deck. Unless it’s cleaned well a quick wash won’t do much on caked on build up. Overall, it’s a solid blade. 4 stars because of the few extras I did out of the box.

Very good blade. Works as intended. No problems installing it. Heavy-duty blade that works well in my sloped and rough terrain. I would buy again.

Great product ;delivered next day, I replaced my original Toro 22 inch mulching blade with this product and it works just fine! I would Lo purchase this again when needed.

Works better than OEM. However is lower than OEM so you need to raise mower to prevent scalping.

Blade looks solid but was slightly to long on one side, clipping the mower frame.

Great blade. Good value. Comes reasonably sharp but I recommend you sharpen and balance before use. Mulches better than the OE Toro blade. Price was better than my local big box home improvement store.
