Well made, easy to use.
I try not to use brass brushes. They can scratch the inner surface of the gun barrel. So far I’ve been able to get the barrel cleaned without the need for the more abrasive brushes. Very pleased with the nylon brushes.

Safer than alternative brushes
Tough enough to get the barrel clean, gentle enough to not do damage to the barrel (regardless if one might need a magnifier or microscope to see such, the damage can/is done with hard(er) brushes). I left off one star because I do not yet know the durability of the brush, but if first use was any indication it should be long lasting

Excellent, sturdy nylon brush.
Excellent, sturdy nylon brush. Used it to clean tubes for windchime repair. Worked like a charm! Not as abrasive as a metal brush.

better than copper
My wire brushes have all been copper. Although they do the job, I always puncture one or more fingers, however slightly. So I tried Hoppe's nylon brush. Thought it would be too soft, but it does a better job. First, it loosens all the filings and deposits (just as a copper brush). Second, it really does have 'memory'--the brush does not deform (unlike a copper brush). And, third, although slightly sharp-ended, it does not puncture skin (unlike a copper brush). Very happy with this. I am using it on a pair of H&R Pardner 20-gauge single shots, with fixed modified chokes.

Great item. Essential for shotgun maintenance.
This is a great quality 12-gauge barrel brush. You'll need an adapter such as this one (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0013R9WS0/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_8) in order to use many typical rods, but it functions very well. I have a 12-gauge that I hadn't cleaned in some time. This made very quick work of it and my barrel is perfectly clean once again.

A little late. Excusable considering the circumstances. Nice brush. I haven't used it yet. My old one must be worn so this one will perform better I'm sure.

Works to clean out the buildup in the barrel. As it's nylon, it will take a few more passes to clean properly. Fits correctly and does what it's intended to do.
