Great little spoon - handy and sturdy
I had bought the slotted spoon version and after initially thinking it was too small - grew to love it (good for serving rice - too small for pasta though imo) so I wanted a non slotted version too. Great for serving sauce from a steel pan (I like misen carbonized steel) as it scrapes the bottom. I get a real kick from the quality - I ended up showing my family look what a great spoon I got. Sounds funny but when you feel how solid it feels you might understand. It's got a nice weight to it. You could probably hand this down to your kids. I'm also going to go back and adjust my initial review for the slotted spoon which was more my initially thinking it was too small - in fact the size is handy - a nice in-between a regular spoon and one of those long big ones for serving.

Sturdy but Small (second thoughts after a while - a handy size)
[Original review] Good quality steel and well made (EXTREMELY sturdy) but a bit on the small side for it's described use such as serving pasta. I'm keeping it because will probably come in handy but I'm disappointed with the size and ordered a larger one from All Clad to serve the purpose of what I bought this for. Misen pans are fantastic though - that's why I wanted to try their spoon. [Second Thoughts after using it a while] I'm upping this from my original 3 to 5 stars. Initially I thought it was too small - in fact the size is handy - a nice in-between a regular spoon and one of those long big ones for serving. also less bulk in the dishwasher. It's perfect for rice.. at least jasmine which is a bit sticky so doesn't fall through the slots. Still wouldn't use it for pasta but overall I love it and I actually got the solid scraping version as well for sauce. This thing it such a solid chunk of steel I'm pretty sure you could hand it down to your kids.

Great tool for fruits and veg
Great quality, heavy, perfect amount of strong scraping ability without cutting me when I slip. Great for getting the last of anything off a "rind" - watermelon, aloe leaf, spaghetti squash, papaya, etc. Scrape away without cutting through! I thought the serrated edge wasn't long enough before I bought it, but it's the perfect size for what I've used it for. Great purchase!

Super handy for a lot of kitchen jobs
I specifically bought this for making stir fry and other Asian recipes that involve a million spoons of this and that….works perfectly for this and has a nice bowl for tasting. This is also a super heavy spoon, so doesn’t get hot quickly. Also transitions easily to serving, worth the money.
