Red River Deep: Uplifting Southern Romantic Women's Fiction

I picked up the book right away and before I knew it I was turning the last page (actually I read it in 2 days). Her characters are just like so many people you know, not perfect, not without issues, just human and relatable. There isn't a one of her books that I didn't recognize someone in the story. They are great, fun, uplifting, laugh out loud sometimes, and with many characters you would love to meet. Her trilogies are great because you get to visit old friends for previous books. This is a story of two who should have been a couple to marry and it's a good thing they didn't, because there got together when they were suppose to and you will love why. Enjoy!

Good read from Brown. I enjoyed Tracey and Austin's story. I liked the characters and the plot of this book. Always looking forward to reading the next book.

Another wonderful Carolyn Brown book ! There hasn’t been one that I haven’t loved. My husband on the other hand - not so much!!! He says when I start one of Carolyn’s books- I don’t clean or cook - just read and he learned a long time ago not to interrupt me!! The only sad thing I have to say is that I get so involved with the characters I want sequels !! Thank you for another wonderful story. I live in Texas so a lot seems familiar and I love that.

Author Carolyn Brown is absolutely the very best storyteller! In Red River Deep Ms. Brown includes a humorous and heartwarming storyline. The two main characters, Tracey Walker and Austin Miller were happily in love during college but after a major fight they ended their relationship. I loved how this author brought them back together . Their children Jackson and Emily add so much to the story. They are both so darn cute. I never hesitate to read a Carolyn Brown story and this one is a true delight.

I love her books and can't wait for the next one. Her characters are so easy to feel as if you are right there. Love that there is everyday life and humour in her books. I have read every one Carolyn has written and some more than once.

I wish these publishers would not fool us into buying a book we already read. This book was published about 20 years ago. As soon as I read the first of it, I remembered the story. So I paid for it twice. That is underhanded.

Austin and Tracey meet at college and fall in love but they are fighting this Christmas vacation and break up. When they next talk Austin is marrying someone else because she is pregnant and so is Tracey. Six years pass and Tracey and Austin are both English professors at the same college. Again is divided and raising his daughter Molly and Tracey is raising her son Jackson. Both children are in the same kindergarten class and are new found best friends.
