We needed something to cover our deck from the door to the stairs to the yard. Our dogs scratch that area of the deck up really bad and we kept having to restain it. Our deck is 20 feet from the door to the stairs so this was perfect. It laid completely flat right out of the box except one end. After a day in the sun that end is flat too. Dogs have run on it and it seems very durable so far. I thought I would have to tack it down but so far it's stayed in place without it. It's very grippy but havent tested it wet yet. And yes the rubber smell is strong but after a day or two out in the sun the smell is almost gone. Definitely recommended.
