Realistic and reusable
This thing is so cool! My daughter, an aspiring doctor, got this for Christmas and I enjoyed watching the vein pop out when she injected it with water. She would push the water out and use it again. Very realistic.

Solid training aid
This is a good training aid for suturing, with multiple layers showing the different layers of tissue, which is a nice touch. The material, though somewhat shiny and smooth, is a good analogue for flesh. At least for training purposes. It's of good quality and holds up well to repeated use. Though I would suggest not doing too much on any one area, if possible. I'm sure it will wear down and fair eventually. I think this product is of excellent value for the money and of use to anyone who is interested in learning suturing techniques.

A relatively normal suture pad with a few handy details: I'd buy additional ones for friends.
I worked briefly as a student worker in our sim department at school and lemme tell you, we might have had someone in-house that could make suture pads, but I was absolutely astonished at how quickly and inventively my fellow classmates managed to absolutely destroy those pads. I wouldn't describe this as idiot-proof because that's just invitation to build a better idiot (myself being a study example of "what could possibly go wrong"), but I will say it does feel reassuringly durable when you flop it around and wonder if it's about to tear itself apart from the seams: it's not. It really does feel like it might hold up through a bunch of uses. I like the variety of cuts and they're far enough apart that I can reasonably suture them; it's easy enough to work through multiple wounds without having to go and clip sutures over and over (my complaint with a different pad, when I'm in the groove). It came in a nice-fitting plastic box which has proved unexpectedly clutch at keeping the thing clean in my Medical Practice Stuff drawer -- I kinda wish my other pads had this, as it's an unexpectedly functional detail. There's a lot of suture pads. This is one of them. I think of the ones that I've tried out from The Internet and the ones I've used in our sim lab (especially because I have neither the time, money, or inclination of my own), this is a really solid one between the multiple cuts/types, sturdiness, and even the box. There's a lot of practice value in a small package. I would -- and am considering -- buying some for friends for the holidays, and I'm hoping to eventually buy one of their IV sims and see how they function. I'll be keeping an eye on this.

Not what you’d hope for
For practice I understand the concept. But it is nothing like getting actually fluid out. Created a lot of air pockets and bubbles. You’ll never know if you’re actually successful . It’s too rubbery. I wouldn’t say it functions the way you’d hope.

Very Nice & Comes With a Case!
There are a lot of these practice suture pads out there on the market. A lot of them are very similar in quality and price and it can be hard to know which is the best one to get. This one seems durable, is a perfect size, and feels like it will be an excellent way to practice suturing. The biggest selling point for me on this one is that it comes with a plastic storage case. It’s such a simple thing to include, but it raises the likelihood of me choosing it by a large margin. I have another suture pad that is almost identical in its size, feel, and the patterns of the wounds. They are quite tacky, though, and I have a cat that sheds like crazy. So, as soon as I took the other one of the box, it was immediately covered in cat hair, and it was very difficult to clean. The case prevents all of that. Of course, there’s always gonna be a little bit of hair around, such is the nature of owning a cat haha, but having the case makes it so much easier to keep clean. So, if you’re looking for a suture pad, I definitely recommend this one.

Great practice
Great practice for doing sutures and staples. Fairly lifelike and gives several options of wounds to fix. After about 510 passes too many holes to use anymore but that par for the course with proactive pads. Much cheaper than name brand and works the same. Does a really good job of simulating skin layers that is a great design.
