Great lumber rack. Was planning to build one, but this one cost about the same as what I would have paid just for materials. The design and construction is very good. The steel seems to be of good quality, not the thin chinesium I was expecting, and the included mounting bolts were also of high quality. In addition to the mounting bolts, the rack also came with giant plastic expanding hollow wall anchors. If you're using these for very light duty, maybe the hollow wall anchors will hold. For lumber or steel though, no way. You need to make sure the uprights are directly over studs, and that the bolts go straight into the studs. Having said that, the rack is very strong and solid, even mounted over drywall. I've got it loaded up with oak and cherry, as you can see in the photos, and I'm sure they could hold at least twice what I have on there. One note: The rack comes with pins that mount to the end of the horizontal arms (visible in the photos), ostensibly to keep your lumber from sliding off the shelf. I will be removing these pins, as they definitely get in the way when you're trying to load or unload heavy boards. If I were using the rack for pipe or conduit or rebar or if I lived in an earthquake zone I'd keep the pins, but there's no way boards are going to fall off under normal conditions. I will be ordering another set for the other side of my shop.

East to install. Works great. Make sure to mount it on studs. Extensive mounting hard ware included. We installed in our car port to get the wood off the ground.

Now, instead of a damp unsightly pile of scrap lumber in my side yard, I have neat, dry stacks of sorted scrap lumber right in my garage where I can easily access it when a project calls for it. The racks seem surprisingly sturdy.

Flimsy construction, seemed ok when assembled but the metal thickness is less than other brands. Wouldn’t rely on it for heavy wood storage

Nice racks, but overall shorter than expected. Note I didn't read the specs, so this is mostly my fault.

I'm very pleased with this lumber storage rack. I saw some comments about it being too light weight construction, but I don't have a problem with the design. When building racks from metal they don't have to be very thick material to be able to handle a lot of weight. When installing it, I did use care to not bend the tabs, so as not to weaken the structure. But, it was easy enough to install without any problems in that department. I have a lot of very dense hardwood stored on this rack on the wall next to my Mercedes, and I have no concerns about it collapsing and damaging my vehicle. I don't know of a better recommendation that that.
