Reliable, sturdy tent pegs that work well and stay deep in the ground to keep your tent stable!
The box of six nine-inch-long tent pegs came in a small rectangular box. After removing them, I attached the tent lines to them by putting the small loop around the hook that was on top of the peg. Then, I put them to work pitching a tent and hammered them into the ground with a rubber mallet. I made sure that the hook at one end was facing downwards as I did so. They slid into the ground nicely and stayed there after hammering them in, leaving only the top of the hook barely above ground. They worked well and were sturdy as I hammered them on the top of the tent peg, which was flat, so I could do so. They were durable, thick, and sturdy enough to manage the pounding without breaking. When I needed to, I was able to locate them in the ground and pull them out with some tugging. Sometimes, the metal stakes that tents come with are hard to spot when removing them from the ground. Thatโs not a problem with these bright, yellow-colored ones, which are easy to see. Iโm going to use these for holiday inflatables in the winter season as well, as it should work as well with those as well as it does with camping tents. I have several other Coghlanโs camping products that Iโve used over the years, and they have been reliable and helpful. I was pleased to see that these tent pegs matched that standard of quality. Overall, these tent pegs were durable, worked well for camping, and didnโt break when I used them and hammered them into the ground.

Really sturdy stakes
It's summer, which means it's time for a family camp-out in the backyard. I went to set up the tent and remembered that last year I had broken a few of the flimsy text stakes that came with the tent. So I got these stakes and used them instead, and they worked great. Yes, they're plastic. But they are really thick and sturdy. I used a rubber mallet to drive them into the ground, and it worked great. They held up to the task and made installation easy. And with a length of nine inches, I felt confident that they'd keep the tent in place. I love that these are made with recycled materials. And I love that they are yellow. I plan to use them when it's time for the next yard-decorating holiday, to hold some of the inflatables in place. I feel like I always lose one or two stakes each year because most of the stakes that come with decorations are black or grey, and I just lose sight of them when I go to take everything down. I feel like these yellow stakes will be a lot easier to spot. I like these stakes a lot, and I would recommend them.

Good holding power.
Good pegs for guy ropes or anchoring down a pop-up or dining tent when compared to the shorter wire pegs that tend to come with everything these days. Much better in sand than wire pegs for holding in place. Overall quality and thickness seems to be good.

Solid stakes of very good quality
These tent stakes are pretty tough for plastic. There is no indication that they are made from 100% post consumer recycled materials, so it is heartening to think that recycled does not mean lesser quality. They are stout and tough. They pound into soil without breaking or bending. That said there is a limit to how tough the soil can be so with extreme hardpan soils I think metal stakes are the only way to go. For the majority of light to medium duty staking tasks, though, these are great stakes that should last for many years. The strength to weight ratio of these is much better than steel. The high visibility yellow is an invaluable feature. Many times in fading light or adverse conditions like heavy rain, being able to easily see and find gear can be lifesaving. At around a dollar per stake this is to me a five star item. Beyond a buck and half each I'd rate it four stars.

Strong Enough to Pound Into Soil, Good Hold
I got these tent pegs because I always need more, either from breaking while pulling them out, or adding more guy ropes because of windy weather. These are of equal or better quality to the big store tent pegs, but the asking price is much lower. They stood up to getting hammered into the soil at 2 campgrounds, getting pulled out, and being tossed into the back of the truck in a lightweight nylon bag. I have recommended them to my friends and family members who like to camp. Great product!

Excellent Tent or Canopy Stakes
I became tired of trying to straighten out my bent metal stakes from my existing tent. These 9" stakes made from recycled material are a perfect replacement. They're super strong and resistant to bending when you unexpectely hit a rock under the ground surface. Hammer them in and they'll probably stay until you're ready to (easily) remove them. So far they perform flawlessly. I might order another pack for my other camping devices.
