Two Month Review
I spent a lot of time looking at dash cams before settling on this one because I didnt want to buy something that looked great on paper but fell apart where it really matters, especially at night. So far, the N4S seems like a really solid setup. The biggest reason I was interested in it was the full coverage. Front, rear, and inside all in one system just gives a lot more peace of mind. What impressed me most is the night video. That’s where a dash cam either proves itself or doesn’t. This one does a pretty good job, and the plate readability setting is not just some gimmick. You can actually see a difference in real world use. The interior camera is nice to have too, especially if you ever want that extra layer of protection inside the vehicle. The main thing buyers need to know is the newer RC18 rear camera is not waterproof. That is a big detail, and I think some people could easily miss it if they assume it’s like older rear cameras. So just know that going in before you plan your install. It’s also not one of those “stick it up in 5 minutes and done” kind of dash cams. With 3 channels, there’s more wiring and a little more patience involved. But that’s kind of the tradeoff for getting better coverage. Overall, I like it. It seems like Vantrue got a lot right with this model. Good video, better peace of mind, and useful features that actually matter. Just make sure the non-waterproof rear camera fits your setup before you buy. I've included daytime raw footage from the camera so you can see an accurate representation of the video. I'll try to upload night footage soon.

Good quality, simple setup, and easy to use
Have been using this for a few days and honestly pretty happy with it. Video quality is solid, even at night it’s way clearer than I expected. The 3-channel setup is a big plus: front, rear, and inside all covered, which just gives extra peace of mind. Setup was very easy and straightforward. The app is actually usable (which isn’t always the case lol). Easy to check footage on my phone. Overall, it just works and feels reliable. No major complaints so far. If you’re looking for a dash cam with full coverage, this one’s a good product for you!

Great dash cam
I’ve been using this dash cam for a bit and I’m really happy with it so far. The video quality is super clear, even at night, and you can actually read license plates which is a big plus. I like that it has three cameras, so it covers everything . Perfect for Uber driving, especially if you have an older model vehicle. Setup wasn’t hard, it comes with everything you need. Wi-Fi feature makes it easy to check videos on my phone. Overall it feels reliable and definitely worth it for the price.

Cable length fits perfect. - Smooth APP operation with emergency lock file protection. Perfect for daily commute and road trips. - Functions like vibration reading and parking monitoring are really good and much needed. - Overall great quality and worth the price. Great dashcam
It is very clear and crisp and also easy to install. It is also easy to retrieve the footage from the camera and super reliable. It made me feel safer with my car and also it makes driving feel safer. I installed in myself by following the tutorial on YouTube and it took me 1 hour. It is also easy to mount on the windshield. The size is also compact.

Overheating and Micro SD Issues.
Replaced my original Vantrue dash cam with the N4S 3 channel. Unfortunately, the performance from the N4S falls short in two areas for me. The first is overheating and shutting down in mild spring weather. Temperatures around 60 to 75 degrees fahrenheit. The resolution settings are at 1440+1080+1440, which is middle of the road for what is offered. I’ve tried the lowest resolution setting and the results are the same. The screen shows an orange box stating that the dash cam is too hot and will not work until it reaches a safe operating temperature. When the dash cam overheats, happens almost everyday, it will not reach a safe temperature and is pretty much useless until I get home and park inside my garage. With the AC on max, recording on a low resolution setting, and trying to use only the front and rear cams, I get the same result… overheating. I’ve also tried just running the dash cam alone and unplugging the rear cams and it still overheats. All cables are from Vantrue and I’ve tried Anker usb-c cables but again the result is overheating. The second issue is the type of micro sd you have to use. I’ve only had luck with a sandisk express. I’ve tried several memory cards with near identical write and read speeds to the sandisk but those cards are too slow. Regardless of the resolution, outside temps, and only using front and rear cams, I see a prompt that says card is too slow. You’ll most likely have to upgrade your micro sd card so account for that in the total price for this dashcam. $209 for the N4S and $90 for the sandisk express micro sd just to have an overheating or card issue. Sorry, only a one star rating because I expected another great dash cam from Vantrue. Not sure what happened with the N4S but it looks like these are known issues with no real solutions. I should’ve researched a bit more instead of just trusting Vantrue. They missed the mark and a lot of wasted time for me trying to make this dash cam work.

Excellent Dashcam With Room for a Few Key Upgrades
The Vantrue N4S is easily one of the best dashcams I’ve used. The video quality is insanely clear—day or night—and the STARVIS 2 sensor really shows its strength when you’re driving around Chicago after dark. The three‑channel setup captures everything: front, rear, and interior, with sharp detail and great dynamic range. The build quality feels premium, the interface is smooth, and the Wi‑Fi + GPS combo works exactly the way it should. What I love: Super crisp footage, even in low light Reliable 3‑channel coverage Solid parking mode Clean, compact design Supports up to 1TB storage Dislikes: No cloud storage, which means if someone steals the dashcam, they take all the footage with it No LTE option, so remote access only works when you’re near Wi‑Fi Live view doesn’t work on iPhone when CarPlay is active, which makes checking the camera inconvenient Touchscreen missing, which would make navigating settings much faster Future features I’d love to see: Cloud backup Built‑in LTE connectivity Touchscreen interface Overall, it’s a fantastic dashcam with top‑tier performance. Add cloud storage, LTE, and a touchscreen, and it would be the perfect all‑in‑one setup.

Great quality and easy to use
I’m honestly pretty happy with this dash cam so far. The video quality is clear during the day and still solid at night, which was important to me. Having three cameras (front, rear, and inside) is a big plus and gives extra peace of mind while driving. Setup wasn’t too difficult, and the app makes it easy to review footage on my phone. Everything has been working smoothly without any issues. Overall, it feels like a reliable and well-built device. If you’re looking for a dash cam with full coverage, this one is definitely worth considering.

Rock‑Solid 3‑Channel Protection — Worth Every Penny
I’ve tested a handful of dash cams over the years, but the Vantrue N4S (RC18) is easily the most complete and confidence‑boosting setup I’ve installed in my vehicle. If you want full coverage without fuss, this is the one to beat. 🚗 Crystal‑Clear Footage From All Angles The video quality is outstanding. The front camera captures crisp, detailed footage day and night, the interior cam is perfect for rideshare or added cabin security, and the rear camera eliminates blind spots with surprisingly sharp clarity. Even in low‑light conditions, the night vision holds up better than expected. 🔧 Straightforward Installation Vantrue includes everything you need, and the cable lengths are generous. Routing the rear camera wire took a bit of patience, but once everything was in place, the system powered up flawlessly. The menus are intuitive, and the setup process is refreshingly simple. 🛡️ Reliable Parking Mode & Smart Features The parking mode is a standout. Motion detection and impact triggers work exactly as advertised, giving me peace of mind when my car is parked overnight. The G‑sensor sensitivity is well‑tuned, and loop recording ensures I never have to worry about storage management. 🔥 Built for Canadian Weather Living in a climate with hot summers and cold winters, I appreciate that the N4S handles temperature swings without glitching or shutting down. The build quality feels premium and durable. 📦 Final Verdict If you’re looking for a true 3‑channel dash cam that delivers excellent video quality, dependable features, and a clean, professional setup, the Vantrue N4S is a fantastic investment. It’s one of those products that immediately makes your vehicle feel more protected.

Didn’t Realize How Useful This Would Be Until I Actually Installed It
I got this mainly for peace of mind while driving, especially with how unpredictable things can get on the road. I wasn’t expecting to think about it much after installing it, but it ended up being one of those things I’m really glad I have every time I drive. The setup was easier than I thought. It looked a bit complicated at first with multiple cameras, but once I started, it was pretty straightforward. Everything connects logically, and I was able to get it running without needing anything extra. After that, it just works in the background without me having to mess with it. What really stood out is the coverage. Having front, inside, and rear recording makes a big difference. It’s not something you notice immediately, but knowing that everything around the car is being captured just gives a different level of confidence. I don’t have to worry about missing anything important. The video quality is actually impressive. During the day, everything looks clear and sharp, and even at night, it still captures details well. I’ve checked a few recordings out of curiosity, and it’s easy to make out things like license plates and surroundings without struggling. Another thing I like is how stable it feels. It doesn’t overheat, doesn’t randomly shut off, and just keeps recording consistently. Once it’s on, I don’t think about it at all, which is exactly how something like this should be. The GPS feature is also something I didn’t think I’d care about, but it’s useful having that extra information like speed and location recorded along with the footage. It just adds another layer of detail if you ever need it. I’ve also used the app a few times, and it’s convenient being able to access footage without removing anything. It saves time, especially when you just want to quickly check something. After using it for a while, it just feels like a normal part of the car now. It’s not something flashy, but it quietly does its job every time I drive. That peace of mind alone makes it worth having.

Sharp and clear, even at night!
I’ve gone through a few basic dash cams over the years, but the Vantrue N4S is on a completely different level. After running this in my daily driver for a bit, I can honestly say it feels like true all-around protection, not just a simple front-facing camera. The triple channel setup is what really sold me. Having front, interior, and rear recording all at once gives full coverage of everything happening around and inside the vehicle. The front camera in 2.7K is SUPER sharp, and both the inside and rear at 1440p are clear enough to confidently read plates and road signs. The Starvis 2 sensors and HDR really make a difference at night. I tested it on dark side streets and in underground parking, and the footage was still detailed and usable. Headlight glare is handled well, and it does a solid job of making plates read clearly. Installation was easier than I expected. The magnetic GPS mount is a great touch. It feels secure but lets you remove the unit quickly if needed. The included trim tool and clips helped me tuck the wires cleanly along the headliner and pillars. The rear camera cable was long enough for my vehicle without feeling stretched. I like that the rear camera rotates fully, so dialling in the exact angle was simple. The wifi connection is noticeably fast. I was able to connect to the app and pull clips to my phone within a few seconds or a minute, depending on the length of the clip. GPS logging works reliably and adds speed and location data to the footage, which could be really important if you ever need to share video with insurance. It supports up to 1TB micro SD cards, which is great for longer recording loops. Just keep in mind that a card is not included, so you will need to pick one up in anticipation of setting this up. One thing to note is that parking mode requires the hardwire kit since it uses a supercapacitor instead of a built-in battery. Personally, I prefer the supercapacitor design for heat and cold durability, especially with Canadian winters and hot summers, but it is an extra step if you want 24-hour monitoring. All in all, this feels like a premium, well built dash cam with serious performance. The video quality, triple coverage, fast app access, and solid mounting system make it something I feel confident relying on every time I drive. If you want full coverage and strong night performance in one system, the N4S is absolutely worth it. Highly recommend!

Good Cam!
I installed this 3‑channel dash cam in my car recently and it has been very capable and reassuring on the road. What sets it apart from simpler models is the simultaneous front, inside, and rear recording, giving you a complete picture of what’s happening around and inside your vehicle. The front camera records at 2.7K and the cabin/rear cameras at 1440p, which captures fine details like road signs and plates better than basic dash cams I’ve used before. Night vision is strong thanks to the STARVIS 2 sensors and HDR enhancements. Footage stays clear even in low light, so insurance or safety footage looks solid whether it’s dusk or dark out. The built‑in GPS logs your route and speed as part of each clip, which is really useful if you ever need to share footage after an incident. The Wi‑Fi connectivity and app access make reviewing and downloading videos a lot easier than removing an SD card every time. The setup process was straightforward and the menus are intuitive once you get used to them. The 24/7 parking mode with buffered motion detection gives extra peace of mind when parked, though you’ll want to hardwire it if you intend to use that feature constantly without draining your battery. One thing to keep in mind is that the unit is a bit larger than some single‑channel cams, so you need to plan your mounting spot carefully so it doesn’t block your view. Otherwise this dash cam is a solid choice for comprehensive coverage in daily driving, family trips, or rideshare use.

Great dashcam!
We have alot of bad drivers in my neighbourhood so I got this incase of anything for insurance. It has been working great so far. The triple-channel recording—front, interior, and rear—gives you solid coverage in pretty much any situation, whether you're dealing with questionable parking spots or unpredictable drivers around you. The video quality really stands out. All three cameras deliver clear, sharp footage both during the day and at night. The night vision is surprisingly good, and there's even a special license plate mode that helps capture plates more clearly when glare is an issue. It does tone down the rest of the image a little, but if reading plates is your priority, it's a useful feature. The magnetic mount is convenient for quick removal or switching between cars, and they include an extra bracket, which is a nice touch. Built-in Wi-Fi makes downloading videos to your phone fast and easy—no need to pull the SD card every time. Voice commands work reliably and are actually useful when you're driving. The package comes with helpful extras like clips and tools for tidy cable management. It doesn't include a microSD card, so you'll need to buy one separately (and it's worth getting a high-quality, high-endurance one). For 24/7 parking surveillance, you'll need the separate hardwire kit since there's no internal battery. If parking mode is important to you, plan for that extra step or professional installation. Running the cable for the rear camera takes some effort, but that's pretty standard for any three-channel setup. Very happy with this dashcam so far!
