I appreciate several standout features of the Comix Calendar Pen Holder, each of which adds both function and style to my workspace. #1 The 2-in-1 design seamlessly combines a pen holder with a built-in calendar. These are two essential desk tools for me. It eliminates clutter, keeping daily organization front and center, which I genuinely value in a workspace accessory. #2 The aesthetics are especially charming. As someone who loves sage green hues, I find the soft, modern tone to be quite attractive. The subtle gradient effect across the circular rings adds visual interest (not an ordinary solid color holder). This holder gives my desk a little extra personality. #3 The twist-style calendar operates with a smooth, fluid motion. Adjusting the date is easy. Once set, each ring stays in place. The mechanism feels streamlined and thoughtfully designed for everyday use. #4 While lightweight, the holder feels durable and well made. The sturdy plastic construction gives it structure and stability, and the overall build quality feels sturdy. #5 The proportions are well balanced. Everything remains organized and within easy reach. For Your Consideration: The calendar component is highly valuable as a visual reminder and practical date tracker. However, the white print on the rings lacks boldness. While the bottom ring (day of the week) is easy to read, the month and date markings can be difficult to see at a glance. A stronger contrast would significantly enhance usability. This piece functions nicely as both a desk organizer and calendar. The design is attractive, space-saving, and thoughtfully constructed. While it is well crafted, improved legibility on some of the calendar rings would elevate it further. I consider the overall quality and value to be good.

Cute, cute, cute! And functional as well. This plastic pen holder has rings that can be changed to show the date (which I honestly won't use most of the time), but it also has a hidden compartment to hold supplies, money, or whatever you desire. I like this feature and use it for storing paper clips to keep them handy. What I also like is the plastic surface that washes or wipes clean easily. It also won't have pencil or pen marks at the bottom of the cup because so far, these are easily wiped off (I know this wouldn't bother most people, but it does bother me and I like that I can easily clean or remove these marks.) The graduated color scheme is, well, just delightful and adds a bit of decoration to my desk. The price is great and I think it is a good value. I would recommend this to all ages - anyone that has a desk!

First, the good. I ordered the blue and as you look at it, it looks nice with the color fading from light blue to darker blue from top to bottom. That’s about it for the good. Now, for the bad. It’s impractical as a calendar and trying to use it for that purpose is frustrating. First, it’s tedious to set the month, date, and the day to where you can even figure out what the date is. You have to look at it from just the right direction (the dot at the bottom) to read the date and seeing the date is difficult (see my picture). And if you touch it to move it so you can see the dot, you will need to spend twice as much time trying to get everything lined up again. If you want to pick it up, the rings come off and you’re back to trying to set the date again. If you want to get anything into or out of the compartment on the bottom, you will also mess up the date. And I can’t for the life of me figure out what you would want to put in that little compartment anyway since it is difficult to open and close with rings that just slip around and off whenever you handle it. It’s cute and it does hold pencils and pens, but if it's supposed to be useful as a date-minder, it's not.

This is a cute perpetual calendar pen cup. All of the rings bearing elements of the calendar are loose rings which can be entirely removed from the base cup. Both the base and the rings are made of smooth hard plastic. While the lowers levels are legible, the upper rings are not as much due to white printing on a very light background color. This could be solved by pouring a darker plastic for those upper rings or changing the imprint color to a darker one. The cup is entirely sealed inside at bottom and can hold anything from writing instruments to pushpins or any other tiny items. It’s a clever way to get a useful form of a perpetual calendar on one’s desk.
