Arcknight minis are the best, most affordable miniatures solution today.
Pros:Price. I grew up playing D&D with the official plastic minis (3rd edition era) and when I recently got back in to the game I found the prices completely prohibitive. I wanted to quickly buy a wide range of minis so I could be prepared for anything my players wanted to do, but there was no way I could afford enough traditional figures to accomplish this. I tried going through Reaper, and I like them, but the cost just too much for me. I bought eight minis from Reaper and 62 Arcknight minis for the same cost (I own the Mankind pack and the Ancient Evils pack). No Painting Required. I played games like Warhammer 40k for years, and I loved spending hours and hours painting each mini. But that was high school, I just don't have that kind of time anymore. Arcknight minis are colorful and evocative without needing to spend hours on painting, which lets me be more flexible with my games.Maybe this is a side note, but I found these really helped me be creative when creating encounters in my D&D game. I set up what I thought would look and feel cool, and played more loosely with the rules. The Beholder was a Beholder, but the wispy spirit things were something I made up on the spot. It was a cool feeling to roll with what sort of thing.Cons:The only things I can think of are 1) sometimes the printing seems to be a little too light, and some faces on pale characters don't come through as boldly as they could, and 2) be careful when taking them out of the sheets they're printed on. There's a danger zone where the base inserts of two minis touch, if you aren't thinking of it you can damage the part of the figure which is meant to be inserted in to the base.Overall I love these. I have a large order on the way, and I can't wait to see what Arcknight does next. Now if only I can get my players' schedules to line up again...

they're good!
Arcknight flat plastic minis are perfect for a DM like me. i can't afford to enter the world of actual 3d minis. well, i could - but i'm not willing to spend that much on them. these fit in the gap between theater of the mind and 3d minis very nicely. the art is usually very high quality. the color can vary - with some sheets having deep bold colors while others are a touch more faint than i'd prefer. some sheets are very easy to separate the minis from, while others require a bit more work. i've never had mine break as some reviews mention, but i take my time when removing them. my daughter and i use them in our D&D sessions and we are happy with them.

Great on 1-inch grid D&D Boards, I use card holders for bases
Note: Arcknight bases are not shown in my photo as I use card holders for bases. (Arcknight bases are round and very good, but the package only contains 8 bases). It is nice having 62 different colorful figures with different fronts and backs. The variety is great. The images are very good. I use these on 1" square grid D&D Boards, of course, they also fit nicely on hexagons. I created an RPG game and these Arcknight figures work very well with that game. Another plus is that since the figures are flat they are easy to store in card sleeve sheets.

Fantastic miniatures in a themed package!
ArcKnight's minis really are awesome. Durable, see-through plastic printed with art that differentiates which direction a creature is facing, the minis are a welcome addition to a RPG grid. The artwork on the minis is fantastic, as is often the case with ArcKnight products, and groupings of the same creature type have separate artwork so not all your creatures (demonkin, for example) look the same. This set is made up of demons, formless monsters, and eldritch horrors, which tend to rank among my favorite to pit characters against. My only complaint, and the cause of the 4-stars instead of 5, is the lack of size-appropriate bases for creatures over Medium. While the mini itself is sized correctly, no bases are included for a Large creature, and for the retail price, I personally would like to have them. It's not the end of the world, but sure would be convenient. :)

Pretty Flimsy
Just got my first pack of 2D minis from ArcKnight. I'm not impressed. The artwork is great but they're thin and flimsy. Definitely not buying anymore minis from these guys. Go with Skinny Minis or Wiz Kids 2D minis if you're looking for a way better alternative for close to the same price. They're both acrylic.

Needs more backstory
Nice characters and bases, but characters lack depth.
