SV Specialty wet vac attachment to evacuate clogged air conditioner condensate drain lines

One day my air conditioner shut off, the thermostat was dead no power, so I checked the breakers and they were fine. Dragged out the ladder and went up to the attic and noticed the drain pan was full of water and had tripped the emergency shut off. Went outside and noticed the ground under the condensate drain was dry. Not knowing where the blockage was but knowing I couldn’t snake it all the way to the second floor, I thought I would give this a shot. It fit right in the drain line and the other end fit perfectly on my old beater shop vac. So I fired up the vac and watched as it sucked out clean water at first and then a piece of blown in insulation and finally what looked like dirty water. Finally the line was clear so I went and checked the thermostat and it was back online and the hvac was cooling the house, after about an hour I went outside and saw the reassuring drip of water out of the condensate line. Been working as expected ever since. I would highly recommend this to anybody with a clogged drain line, especially one like mine that runs from ground level to a second story attic. Seems pretty well built especially for the limited use I hope it gets.

When I purchased my wet/dry vacuum cleaner for A/C maintenance, this product was a recommended item at the bottom of the Amazon page. The item does not look complicated enough to be charged with that price; however, I am glad I bought it. The adaptor fits perfectly with the wet vacuum cleaner and condensation drain line. It creates a good seal and makes the job done faster and better. A must-have item!

Easily attaches to multiple size hoses from your wet vac. Solidly seals out the air. Makes the job much easier! I am so happy to have found this as living in Florida where our AC unit drain lines clog often and using this with a shop vac makes fixing quick and easy and saves having to call and wait for the AC guy (and also saving me plenty of $$$ by doing it myself). 5 stars!!!

Great idea, though not a sure fit on my Dewalt shop-vac nozzle. That said, it is workable, though just wish the fit was better...

Used to connect my shop vac to the condensate trap in my Carrier Weathermaker 9200 furnace in order to clear it. Did the job. Nice to have to vacuum out smaller pipe or tubing with a shop vac's powerful suction.

It fits perfectly into the PVC elbow on the end of the drain and into the hose of my shop vac. I haven't had any problems since vacuuming out the line. There was a ton of very dirty water pulled out in just a matter of minutes. I'll use this fitting on a regular basis to keep the line free and clear.
