This powder keeps teeth clean
I've been using this product for eight years. My cat is 11 or 12 and her teeth are good. It's never been noted that she needs a dental cleaning. I attribute this to this product. I will keep using it for all my animals! I recommend you use it too!

No more stinky breath
Actually works very well and is much easier than other alternatives, kitty’s stinky breath is gone and I feel much better about his oral health long term.

Effective, but takes time.
I bought this for my aging cat (17 yr old) who was having dental issues. Putting her under for dental surgery was not the option because of her age. She was constantly pawing her face and having trouble eating. We knew she had some dental plaque but she is not a good patient to be able to easily examine her mouth. I started using this product, sprinkling it twice a day on her wet food. Both our cats did not have any issues with the flavor and ate their food normally. The discomfort has diminished probably greater than 90% after about a month. I have continued to use it now for about 4 months and although occasionally see her paw at her face, it has been a wonderful product for her. And she is eating much better than before - important for an aging cat. Will continue to use it for both our cats and am now a subscriber to the product. Highly recommend.

ProDen PlaqueOff Powder for Cats Works for my cats
It works! My two 6 year old brother cats, who I adopted, don't allow me to brush their teeth. The teeth that I can see used to be yellowish but now look bright and clean!. The vet told me that 13.5 pound boy's teeth were fine but the17+ pound cat's teeth, while OK, will need a hard cleaning in a year or so. He recommended trying PlaqueOff to clear away plaque, which causes tartar, which needs to be broken or scraped off by a vet. I buy the large jar for dogs, which is cheaper. My boys don't like the flavor of either the cat or dog variety, but I mix it with wet food, and they gobble it up. I feed them high quality kibble every morning. At night, I first feed them the wet food with PlaqueOff. I follow with the crunchy kibble, which also helps clean cats' teeth. We play "chase the Greenies" before the three of us go to bed. BTW, I bought a set of metal small size measuring spoons for $5 on Amazon. One of the scoops measures 1/16 of a teaspoon, which the amount in the plastic scoops.

Bottle is disappointing 1/2 empty
I just received it so after I use I may change my review. But I’m super annoyed that when opening it the bottle is barely 1/2 full, and the bottle its self is tiny. Times are tough right now and spending money on this is not essential. So for the price I paid and what I got is not sufficient. Even if it does work I will try another product. Where my figure is pointing that’s how high it goes:(

Ferret Dental Care
Do your research before using this. I talked to my vet. I also reached out to a few other manufacturers with similar products to see if they considered this product “safe” for ferrets. The product works by softening plaque. It can start to work in as little as a week, but best results are supposedly seen a few weeks after daily use. With that said, the plaque doesn’t remove itself. I am still brushing my ferret’s teeth (not fun for either of us). I can say it does soften the plaque and make it appear white and spongey, but it still has to be scraped off. The bad part is…it makes my ferrets sick at half the cat dose. They did not vomit outright, but started having hiccups and belching up vomit onto the floor. I cut back to just a tiny pinch of product and stay on it for a week or until I see diarrhea start. I stop use once the diarrhea starts, but continue with the brushing until I see everything go back to normal. Then I rotate back on again. I will try this until the teeth look clean and gums improve. I am seeing improvement in gingivitis and gum line plaque, but the overall discoloration is still there. The main thing to note is that this product is made of seaweed and seaweed has iodine. That is why there is a precaution on the label about hyperthyroidism. I’m not a vet, but google told me diarrhea is a symptom of iodine overdose so that is what I am using as a clue for my dosing and frequency of feeding. Also lack of appetite or vomiting can indicate too much iodine. I have noticed intermittent dosing is pretty ineffective, so I stay with consecutive days on a low dose and then quit for a week or two. I will try to continue use of this product until there is no evidence of gingivitis or red gums. I am not sure if this product will work for my needs in the long run. Update: after prolonged use as described above, this did not cure the gingivitis. It may have slowed the progression of dental issues. Dental care will still be needed to keep the teeth healthy in my case. Dental care includes brushing, scraping or providing chew toys, and eventually dental cleaning by a vet.

Improved cats teeth health
Used for a month before my cats' annual check up. We have 3 cats, but only 2 went for the annual where I got feedback. I bought this after I noticed one of my cats showing some tooth sensitivity (spitting food out, chewing weird, acting like he couldn't swallow, or like something was stuck in his teeth). He has been on watch for gingivitis since I adopted him (around 4mo old, he is now 2). I found this on the Vet Oral Health Council list of approved items and just went for it. Once he started using it on a regular basis, I didn't see any more of the signs I had seen before, and his breath has improved somewhat. The teeth that were already a concern didn't change drastically for the cat with gingivitis, but the other teeth seem to be in good shape (crossing fingers). My other cats teeth were in perfect health, so I think this has made a noticeable difference along with brushing his teeth (the cat with the gingivitis won't allow me to brush his teeth at all). Using this in combination with brushing has given the best results, it seems. My complaints about this product are that it's such a small amount of product for a large bottle (it's about half full when you get it) and the scooper is so small it can be difficult to get out of the bottle. Giving this to 3 cats on a daily basis, we went through it in about a month. It's cheaper than dental surgery and easier than brushing their teeth, so I will continue to purchase this. Our vet who specializes in only cats supports this product as well. I will say, I've used other products like the Greenies dental treats and water additives but this seems to have given the best results in the shortest amount of time. 6/6/24 Update: Our boy who has the most severe gingivitis had to have some teeth removed last year. I wish I had started this product earlier, but I’ve been using it consistently ever since. We went for our annual checkup last week for two of our boys. For the one with the worst teeth, they said it’s not perfect, but it’s to the point that his teeth are manageable (and could stay this way if everything stayed the same) without having to do another round of surgery. I’ve also started teeth brushing whenever I can (no regular routine). When the vet checked his teeth, she said that there was little-to-no tartar! He hates toothpaste, so I started using treats like purée lickable stuff (think Churu) and it’s been working great! He’s the most fussy one of the bunch, so just being able to brush is a win to me. Another thing I’ve started using regular is a water additive. Nothing like a wildly expensive cat surgery and unpleasant recovery to make you try anything to prevent having to go thru it again. Overall, I would recommend this product again and again.

For tartar control
This is the first time I've tried this, I spoke to my vet, and they said that you can use the one for cats for your dog or your cat and the cat. One cost less, so it's a better value for money. So I bought the cat 1 like I said, my vet, my vet said that my dog couldn't use it. That it's, it's perfectly fine to use for your dog. So I'm trying it out to see if it will help her teeth to get rid of tartar. So I'm trying it out. I hope it works out and maybe later. I can get back to this again. And give a report on how? Well or bad, either way that it did. I hope it works out really well. And I can give a really good report. All right, here's hoping it works really well
