Motorola G62 5G - Midnight Grey (Renewed)

Phone was bought to be a 5g modem, which it does great, giving 200M downloads at my location. The phone was supplied with a Samsung charger, and a USB-C cable so thin it _should_ have set alarm bells ringing immediately. Not thinking, I plugged the phone in using the supplied cable and charger as the phone was supplied with a fairly low battery charge (17%) after about half an hour I was ready to move it to it's new home so unplugged the USB cable from the charger, the connector was at a temperature that had I not immediately dropped it I suspect would have burned. I've load tested the charger up to it's rated 2A with a "generic" cable, rather than a quality one and no issues as expected, and a received votage of 4.7V in the chargers 5V mode. Testing with the supplied cable failed as the voltage drop was so great the tester would not power up at the 2.7V received with the load at it's previous setting. To get the same 4.7V as the 2A load on the generic cable I had to set the load to 175mA on the supplied cable. The charger will do 9V charging so I suspect the phone triggered this which allowed it to actualy charge and overheat the cable, I could not replicate this with what I had to hand. So phone good as modem (a bit slow as a phone) , the cable is instant E-Waste if you value your, and your family's life.

Had this phone a little over a year now, and I would not recommend it. Immediately after first booting it up, it was laggy. After several months, it gets worse. Camera is unusable, every app runs very laggy at 5fps, Spotify will every 15 seconds or so, and most annoyingly the keyboard takes about a minute to appear when you want it to, and will randomly disappear when typing. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY, THERE ARE BETTER PHONES FOR £100
